I came to get a manicure because I let my own nails grow when I walked in. I asked the girl to give me a manicure and to put something over them to make them stronger. I asked her how much it was she says 65. Wow. I've been going here since they opened. Apparently, Kim and Jimmy sold it to this other guy. All of a sudden he wants a $100 deposit because there are 5 of us. No thanks. Sorry but I've been coming there faithfully for so long and now all of a sudden you want a $100 deposit. Time to find a new salon. So sad that Kim and Jimmy sold to this guy. Used to be 5 stars not anymore. I knew something was up the last time I was there. Sad to say I'm moving on. I don't no show. I've been a loyal customer of the technicians the new owner talks about and I love them all and have never no showed on them! They even did my nails while I went through all my cancer treatments and I never no showed on them. Loyalty to long time customers is just as important. I've never been asked for a deposit and I brought the other 4 people to the business. I used to come alone and now get them to all come in and get their nails done as well. if i could give this place 0 stars i would. i got french tip nails and none of the are the same length. i also got a J on one of my nails and it looks like a five year old did it. One of my thumb nails is like at least half an inch shorter than the other. not to mention my nails were 85 dollars for a french tip and a J.... I visited this salon a handful of times and I was disappointed to find there is a lack of professionalism. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a very welcoming environment, as the atmosphere feels stiff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pricing is also wildly expensive for inconsistent service; a gel manicure cost $40+ and with gratuity it's an easy $50+ for a standard gel manicure. There are times when my nails would last two weeks, but depending who did my nails sometimes they would chip within a few days. This shop was very clean, and all of the staff members were extremely friendly. This was my second visit. I went with a friend over four years ago. I usually go to a place closer to home, but they did not have any openings today. After I was seated, I asked for a gel pedicure. They showed me a tri-fold brochure and asked me which pedicure I wanted. The basic was $35, and the spa or the next level was $55. I said I would like the spa/$55. Quinn did a great job and was very attentive. When she finished, she said "$70, ok" I said, "Oh I ordered the $55 spa pedicure." She said, "$70 for gel." She was not the person who showed me the brochure, so I felt as though it was not her fault. I Venmo'd her $15 for a tip and then paid $70 for the pedicure. $85 for a pedicure is too steep for me. This taught me to call my regular place with enough notice as their gel pedicure is $45. It is a great place, and there seemed to be a lot of regulars. I have been going to Weymouth Nails & Spa for about 1.5 years and really enjoyed this nail salon until recently. Usually I get pedicures, sometimes gel manicures, and then was introduced to dip over the summer. For the last 4 months or so, I've been getting dip on my nails because it stayed much longer and looked so pretty. However, I started to feel like my natural nails were getting thin and wanted to give them a break. I went in and had the dip removed last weekend and just got a regular buff and clear polish. The way that the dip has been applied/removed over the last several months is not correct -- you can see in the pictures that my nails are very damaged, there is a clear line where you can see the file/dremmel has been used down to the nail bed. My nails are now paper thin and extremely sensitive to heat, and it will take months for them to grow back. Normally my nails are pretty strong so they've been filed down quite a bit. I like the women who work here and it bothers me that I have to leave this review, however, I feel as though others should be aware that they do not use the proper dip technique at this salon and your nails will be damaged if you get dip manicures here long term. I've not gone to this salon several times and I have zero complaints. When you walk in Kim knows your name and greets you so pleasantly which is so great. Timmy usually does my nails and he does a fantastic job. I've never not been pleased with the work he's done. I even have had bad experiences other places when getting my acrylics taken off and I just got my tips taken off this past time and was expecting it to hurt as badly as the first time- dead wrong. I barely noticed he was removing the tips! The only thing i will note is that there sometimes can be kind of a long wait so if you're in a rush it's best to make an appointment which is normal for any nail salon. Not good service. If you ask for Anna - you will get careful patient service. I had her do some waxing, flawless. Haven't had her do eyebrows - but lip - chin - legs were excellent.
