This review is for the Magnolia Greens clubhouse and restaurant, Blossoms, not the golf course. The golf course I rate four stars. It's well maintained and enjoyable to play. Folks are friendly and the neighborhood is great. (Full disclosure: my parents live in the Lakes and my dad golfs regularly.) Blossoms is the latest incarnation of the Magnolia Greens golf course clubhouse restaurant. I first reviewed it back in 2011, when it was called Magnolia Grill. While the interior may have been updated in the intervening years, the boxy space is the same. You definitely get a "golf course clubhouse restaurant" vibe here, and I assume patrons are primarily from the neighborhood, or golfers. It's a friendly place to gather and eat before or after a round of golf. Destination dining, it is not. Breakfast and lunch menus are available, and it's your basic golf course clubhouse food. A selection of salads and sandwiches at lunch, and all the breakfast basics earlier in the day. There are few gluten free options, but I was able to enjoy the Blossoms salad with homemade balsamic vinaigrette. (I heard on good authority this salad is a favorite of the ladies' golf group.) It's a large portion, and leftovers kept well for another meal the following day. My husband opted for the cheeseburger and fries, which he deemed below average. "Two star, tasted like meatloaf." The all-beef hot dog plate that wandered by our table looked good, and may be an option for me on a return visit, sans bun. Informal surveys of the regulars seem to indicate that breakfast is the best meal served at Blossoms. So get there early and fill up before hitting the links. read more

27 hole layout with mature landscaping, lush fairways and receptive, but fast, Bermuda greens. It's a gem. Only negative is there are a lot of bunkers and lazy, entitled golfers (aka jerks) who don't take them after their (apparently) numerous trips into them. read more

Played here yesterday. Was down from Rhode Island for a day, called the pro shop in the morning to see if they could get a single out. Matt found me a tee time that fit right in my schedule. The hospitality that Matt and the rest of the staff provided definitely made me want to go there again when I return. Course was in great shape and greens were even better. All around great day at this course. read more

We recently moved to the area and couldn't find a better golf course to play on as well as the driving range. What truly makes this such an incredible place is the amazing staff. They make me and my son feel like family and go above and beyond every time to make sure we have a good time. I couldn't recommend the location and most importantly the friendly and caring staff more! read more

Not a huge golfer but I was able to do bunch at the little grill place the golf course has. It's a great brunch and surprisingly not more expensive than prices at restaurants. I've always thought that the prices at the golf course were too expensive but this place was on par (hehe). My dad had the french toast meal and I had the open faced omelet. My omelet was quite tasty; it had ham, tomatoes, green peppers, and onions and I asked for it without the cheese because I'm not a huge fan of cheese on my eggs. It was good, a bit oily but tasty. It came with homefries and toast. Both were good. I'll be back. read more

It's is a solid 4 stars. Beautiful and a great location. Price is ok. But it is better than all the area courses. Nice clubhouse. It really beats going all the way to Myrtle Beach. Very older person friendly too. Make sure you have good bugspray when it gets warm though. Lots of water here in the south. So there are lots of Mosquitos. read more

$29 for 18 holes and a cart with a uncw or cfcc student ID. Wonderful 27? hole course. Played here today and shot an 88 on 18 and I had a blast. Greens are quick so watch out. Beer is as low as $2 each and I got a chili cheese dog for $3. REALLY can't beat those prices. Everyone was unbelievably friendly. This is my favorite course in town! My boyfriend had a privaite lesson here with Matt Gordan who was awesome! Really learned a ton and the whole thing was recorded and played back through the lesson so he really could improve. We didn't play here but the course was gorgeous-looking and the driving range was nice. read more

Great golf experience! The course has three nine hole courses that each have their own personality. Magnolia is the crown jewel with quality design and conditions. My second favorite was Azalea which had more water hazard to contend with. Camellia wasn't my cup of tea. It seemed more narrow and compared to the other two courses it just didn't seem as nice in condition or design. The greens on all of the courses were extremely fast and challenging. This course offered such quality and variety that I never played another area course while I was there. I highly recommend playing here. read more

Best golf facility in Wilmington area. Not cheap, but worth it. 27 holes makes play easier. Good staff, especially in restaurant. Courses well maintained and challenging, but not overly difficult. read more
