My experience so far has been pleasant, my schedule stay at the resort is March 17 through the 22nd. I have T times are scheduled for the 18th and the 20th. The staff has been professional and courteous, the pro shop. Staff are very helpful, they are mix of local people along with a few people from different backgrounds and other parts of the country. How have now retired here. The practice facilities such as the driving range and the putting greens are in good condition they offer military discounts stay and play packages. They are very accommodating are spacious. read more

Our experience was one of if not the best experience we have ever had. Especially considering it was the location of our wedding. They weren't just extra amazing to our family because we were the bride and groom they treated all of our guests the absolute same! They went above and beyond to make everyone happy and comfortable. Every single staff member from Stephanie the hotel manager to Ellen the resort owner made our entire stay perfect! Even though we were only there for 5 days they treated us all like close friends and family. I am almost 40 years old and I have never felt so welcomed at place before in my life like I had at Beau Rivage. If you are ever in Wilmington North Carolina swing on in, even if you are not renting one of the incredible suites it will be worth your time to grab a bite to eat and a cold drink at the bar. Obviously I'm here on vacation. I saw this on kayak not my first choice but glad I'm here. Beautiful large hotel room Everyone is kind and mindful I had lunch today at the bar. I got the healthy turkey burger. No flavor bland and I asked for no bread and no tomatoes. There was no sauce or flavor whatsoever to the burger. The pickle was the best and the fries. The bartender is completely incompetent. Fake smile, clearly only happy when men are at her bar. Didn't seem to care about me at all. But it's all good. I'm willing to give the restaurant another chance. The fries and the salad was absolutely incredible I probably won't order another burger lol All I can say is I want that seasoning for the fries lol read more

Run Down- Did Not Meet Expectations Sadly, this hotel was the complete opposite of what we expected. We feel so misled by some of the reviews. This was not a "resort" and not worthy of $279 a night. The hotel is in very bad need of a remodel! The furniture is old, sofa and carpets were stained, the AC vents were dirty and rusted, countertops were old and chipped, doors and trim needed painting. There was no place to hang clothes because the bedroom closet was closed off and labeled "mechanical." Worst of all there was a harsh smell that made our eyes burn and made us feel sick all night. Thankfully we were only staying one night and were up at 6 AM with doors wide open to get some fresh air. The only two positives are the front desk staff were friendly and the hotel location in the back of a neighborhood felt safe. We do not recommend this hotel. read more

Have stayed here many times and is our go-to hotel when staying in Wilmington. Large rooms, comfortable beds, great balconies/patios and customer service is always spot on. Rates tend to be similar or better than other local places to stay; however...based on the size of the rooms, even in times it may be higher priced, it's well worth it. My only concerns are: if you're on vacation and want to fill your cooler with ice before heading out - they don't have ice machines. You can get ice from the bar in small plastic bags, but it melts within minutes. As well, it's a golf resort...be aware of golf groups that also stay in the hotel - I have had a couple negative experiences with loud, rowdy, drunk men who are very reactive to any request to quiet down. read more

I've stayed at the Beau Rivage two separate times over the course of 2 years. The first time I stayed was in the midst of Covid in 2020 and when I had arrived to the room my first thoughts were how outdated everything was. Few stains in the floor and scratches on the wall I thought maybe I had got a bad apple out of the basket. This past weekend we decided to stay again as everything was booked and it was even more horrible then the first time. The carpet had more stains then in the last one, it had holes and scratches on the drywall, the furniture in this room had stains all over the couch and sofa chair, and it was missing blinds in the room which was on the bottom floor facing the street which literally allowed people to look into our room if they wanted. When I mentioned this to the management in the morning, all they could do was shrug and ask what room I was in so they could take note of this and brushed off the issue at hand without trying to apply any accommodation. For $289 a night, I expected a normal Hilton or similar like experience but instead was given an mediocre motel 6 room. read more

We stayed two nights while we were visiting our daughter. We aren't golfers, but we're looking for a nice quiet place to stay. We were very happy with our stay! The room was very big. It was exceptionally clean! There was no smell and was literally one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in. We spent the day at the pool and enjoyed the poolside bar. Four of us played nine holes of golf on a challenging and excellently laid out golf course and then stopped in for an appetizer. We all got something different from a footlong hot dog, iceberg wedge salad, chicken tenders, and Southwest egg rolls. All dishes were excellent and more than reasonably priced. read more

This place is not a resort by any means. Its more of a large Motel with a nice golf course out back. The rooms are large but also very old and run down. The sculptured carpet is so old its impossible to clean.,not sure if they even try anymore. The furniture is visibly filthy. Dont take anyone here if you need to make a good impression. read more

If you are on the first floor you can hear the people above you all night. This review is specifically for the golf course. I played 9 holes here on our vacation here. I was very pleased with how nice the facility and greens were! Not only that, but the guy checking us in before the first hole was very friendly and welcoming. I didn't experience any members rushing us through the holes like the other reviews stated. The driving range is very nice and right next to the first hole. They also have a big area for putting and chipping next to the driving range. I was most impressed by how nice the golf carts were. They included GPS, told you how well you were pacing, ball and club scrubber, as well as a sand compartment for divets. The greens were well kept and I enjoyed the scenic drives between the neighborhoods. Kind of a weird set up to get to some of the holes and could use some more signage... but overall not a huge complaint. I highly recommend this course if you're in the area! read more

First and foremost...this is one of the most friendliest staffs ever at any place I've ever stayed at. I was here on business so I didn't get a chance to play golf...which sucked cause the practice facility was right outside of my balcony. The restaurant and bar was awesome. I got to meet some of the coolest locals that reside here. If I had anything that I would change at all about this place, it would be the WI-FI. It was really bad. I'm not sure what service they have...but they can definitely use an upgrade. Since I'm having to work remotely, not having a dependable Wi-Fi really throws a wrench into my cog.. I definitely would recommend this resort to anyone looking to skip out of the boring hotel scene. read more

The grounds are pretty but the rooms are horrible ! Hugh stains on carpet and buckled where they have been cleaned over & over instead of just replacing carpet. The couch & chair smelled like mildew , the blinds in the bedroom where missing six slats and we had to put a sheet over the whole window. We knew when the cleaning staff were on duty as they stomp around and make alot of noise. I sat on the edge of the mattress to put my shoes on and the whole mattress flipped up behind me and I am not a big person. I would not stay there again if it were free ! read more

My sister and I wanted a pretty but informal place to accommodate some family and friends for a memorial for my sister's husband who recently passed. We met with Ellen a few weeks in advance and had the choice of one of the event rooms or the verandah overlooking the golf course. We loved the verandah and booked it for 9/14. A few days before the event, we met again with Ellen to go over final details. The day of the event when we showed up to set up, Ellen met us an was on top of everything we had asked for. Everyone there knew what to do and all we needed was to set up our stuff (centerpieces, photos etc.) We had ordered the taco bar which turned out to be excellent. One of Ellen's sons (it's a family business) loaned us his laptop so we would present the video we had put together so we wouldn't have to return home for one. He helped us get it running correctly and made sure the microphone was working properly. All the other people were extremely helpful and friendly. We had such a lovely time, I hope to use Beau Rivage again in the future. Prices for the space, the food and drinks were all very reasonable for the quality. Thank you, Ellen, family & staff. We stayed here on a recent road trip across America. We found this resort on Hotwire and the location was perfect. The location is very quiet and beautiful. The check in process is quick and easy, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are HUGE. Kitchen/Living combo, separate bedroom and bathroom for privacy. The view of the golf course is amazing. We will for sure rebook here if back in the area. read more

Cockroaches, dirty rooms, sneaky management On September 8 my toddler son arrived to have a lovely 2 day 1 night vacation. Arriving late from beach, we went to sleep exhausted after beach - without being able to wash ourselves properly due to 1 soap in room, 1 single shampoo tiny bottle in room (both of us have curly hair which was destroyed by shampoo without conditioner). The room was dirty (bathroom floor, living room cockroach, bathroom cockroaches - managed to take a photo of one I caught). The whole experience was traumatizing for my kid but there was nothing we could do that night but sleep and get out the next day when he woke up. On 9/9, I asked for refund showing them photos, telling them about the whole experience being utterly not what I would pay $150 a night for. Ellen at the desk insisted I pay for the night and sign the invoice - that that was the only way the owner Bonnie, who was out of town would be able to fix the situation when she came back mid-September. I showed Ellen the photos of the bugs, dirty bathroom floor etc in front of my 4 year old, and kindly agreed not to post this review or DISPUTE with my bank, due to their agreement they would refund the amount (since Ellen did not have "the ability to refund the whole amount, only Bonnie could"). After being assured they would call me back after her vacation, Ellen never called me back nor did Bonnie. Flash forward to today. I spoke to Bonnie, the owner who was traveling. I had to call Bonnie only to be dismissed, lied to and treated horribly - no apology, them both angrily insisting that their hotel is spotless (Ellen) and that they "just went through a hurricane" (Bonnie's reason why refund wasn't given as originally promised by Ellen), and that they're "making it right with a $40 discount" even though "it's not feasible that there was more than one cockroach in the room" and she was "sure that MY child was not traumatized by a water bug" (Ellen). I was shocked Ellen knew whether or not my own child was traumatized (yes he was scared, yes the experience of the beach was ruined for him by the hotel, and yes I remain disgusted at the sneaky way they shooed me out the door to ensure I paid knowing they would NOT refund the whole amount like I was assured 9/9). In the end, on our call just now I disputed that this wasn't agreed upon by me to Ellen. Ellen was put on the phone by Bonnie who never talked to me again post Ellen yelling at me going on about "they checked the room after we left and there was shampoo and conditioner in there (Bonnie just finished telling me before Ellen that they don't have conditioner only shampoo in the property). So which is it? Besides the condition of the old property, it being dirty and infused with bugs turns out not to be the worst of the experience. The worst of the experience turned out to be what a bunch of liars own and work there. Mean people with low integrity. They both took on any excuse not to keep their original promise, didn't own up to their responsibility of providing a clean space with customer service (NOT EVEN HALF OF AN APOLOGY or ownership of the situation - I was told $40 discount would be taken because "I insisted" not because the situation called for it HA). This whole experience from A to Z included a complete lack of professionalism (Ellen lied to me to get me out the door so I would sign invoice 9/9 and yelled at me today on the phone while I incredulously disputed each of her comments by stating she lied to me). In the end she hung up on me, not caring at all about their reputation, a child's comfort, or their duty to offer a pleasant space to VACATION in. I will be sharing this review here with the photos I managed to capture of the bugs (as we know they're fast, so just because I couldn't capture several ones from living room and bathroom doesn't mean more than one didn't exist). Sharing so parents know NEVER to bring their children to this property nor give their hard earned $ to this business. Frankly the way I was treated post cockroach fact is twice more disgusting than going through the dirty experience. read more

First there is only the picture of the front that truly is real. When you drive in IF you can find the entrance sign you are greeted by the BV housing which no kidding look like army housing that they are selling!! Good luck with that. Check in was easy but the staff could use a little training for how to make guest feel welcome. Here's a blast from the past, they still use keys which you have to use not only to lock from the outside but also inside- so weird. The room- where to start, it smells like an old building, the decor is from the 70's, It is spacious and the overall layout of the room is nice. they were a little confused about shutters or slide blinds because they have both. The place look clean but smelled terrible like old furniture was left in the room. But it could be because they had old furniture in there. The view though was nice facing the greens. Amenities- The toiletries included soap a lotion and a small tube of blue colored liquid( no name of what is was- shampoo or conditioner). The epitome of bottom drawer, I stayed in a way less prestigious hotel at one time and THEY had better toiletries! The soap had a scent of barely clean, tiny as all get out, and who doesn't have at least a box of tissues for a guest? Skip this if you have to there are probably plenty of places to stay if this is what you have to look forward to. read more

Conveniently located to where we were visiting, Beau Rivage offers comfort and a great looking golf course-- although we did not have time to play here-- with a pretty sweet golf stay and play (I think it was $23/person/round). The rooms are large, but a bit Spartan and tired looking, very dated in style--something out of the early 80's. The bed was quite comfortable but would be over the top nice if they replaced the foam pillows with down. There was plenty of room to spread out and the couch pulls out into a bed. It appears all the rooms are all suites. We did not dine here, but friends who did stated that the offerings were plenty and the breakfast was very good. We stayed in a ground floor unit and when people were walking above us, you could hear every step. Fortunately, they had the same sleeping pattern as us, but if you are staying here, you might want to consider an upper unit. The TV was pretty basic and not sure it even offered true HD. I was very surprised the TV did not offer the golf channel, being it is as golf resort. The free wi-fi was a bit sluggish, but did the job. read more
