During the entire session, the massage therapist repeatedly pulled and twisted my wife's shoulder in a way that caused significant pain and discomfort. We have both had many professional massages over the years and have never experienced anything like this. What's most concerning is that more than a month later, her shoulder is still causing her significant pain. The issue has become serious enough that she is now undergoing an MRI because she believes something may have been injured during the session. While we cannot say with certainty what the MRI will show, the timing and circumstances are extremely concerning. Based on our experience, I would urge others to exercise caution and make sure they communicate clearly with the therapist if anything feels uncomfortable or painful during treatment.

Michelle met me at the door and invited me in. Dr Howard recommended this place for me as I had twisted my back 5 days ago and I was still in pain. He suggested a deep muscle massage. I was ok with this even though I never had a deep muscle massage before. Michelle explained everything to me. She had so much patience with my I got through the "computer get to know me questions ". Together we set a date for the next day for me to come back and meet with Samuel Alston Jr. Licensed Massage Therapist. The next day I return. Again I found easy parking and I handled the steps carefully. This time Samuel greeted me at the door and invited me in. His smile just brightened the room. I felt comfortable with him immediately. I was a bit early and he was finishing setting up the room for me. He offered me water and I accepted. I had the option of the bed heated. I was at the beach briefly in the sun and was warm enough so I declined that offer of comfort. Samuel left the room so I could change and slip in between the sheets. The lighting in this room was dim with the soft background music and the sound of the ocean. I found myself breathing in rhythm with each wave. Samuels professionalism, experience, and knowledge helped me to understand the Benefits of this deep muscle massage. His healing hands were a blessing to my injured and scarred body from Ovarian Cancer and then Breast cancer. I could feel the release of tension I did not know my muscles were holding onto for years. All too soon the session ended. Samuel left the room for me to change back to street clothes. I did not get up right away. I turned onto my back and breathed with the sounds of the waves once more. I sat up and rested a short bit so my body adjusted to movement. Once dressed I walked out to the lobby and settled my account. I saw Michelle and thanked her for recommending Samuel.
