What a find! My big box store pharmacy couldn't get my prescription so I called around and was astonished at how helpful both the person who answered the phone and the pharmacist were at getting it for me. They handled the transfer from my old pharmacy (I say "old" because Magnolia Pharmacy is my new one!) and texted me that it was ready for pickup within the hour. I was shocked and delighted. Was having bilateral breast surgery. Needed to find a pharmacy who could fill either percocet or Tylenol #4. This was the 4th pharmacy I called. I let them know this when they answered. I was asked what medication and I told them. I was rudely responded to with "we don't fill chronic pain medication". Thankfully for them I was still pleasant and responded with good thing for me that's not what I need, it's for post op from bilateral breast surgery. Then they changed their tone and said they're out or back ordered I don't recall exactly. But how dare you assume anyone's need for anything phone or in person! This was the first time I called and frankly any needs in future if this is the tone you'll take I won't bother even checking if you have any medication I need in the future. I made sure to let my surgical oncologist who prescribed the medication know as well. read more

They've always been friendly, helpful, and accommodating--even mailing my prescriptions now that I've moved to the other side of the country. The post office somehow lost my most recent prescriptions package, and Magnolia refilled them all (at no cost to me) and had them mailed out again. I was looking for a new friendly pharmacy when Dana closed & these guys had good reviews so I transferred all my prescriptions there, but right away they had problems with my health savings card. I gave them time & went back 3 or 4 times & they couldn't use my health savings card & I had to pay out of pocket & I was going to let it go & just find another pharmacy, but the last time I was there the guy who runs the place (Kevin) talked to me like I owed him money or I was such a huge inconvenience to him, he looked & sounded very annoyed because I asked why after my 4 visit they still couldn't process my health savings card... so yeah don't expect much customer service when you go there... read more

I've been a customer of Magnolia Pharmacy since 2015. They are conveniently located in the same medical building as my daughter's pediatrician. The pharmacists are well educated in their field. I struggled with acne for years and when my insurance would not cover the prescription my dermatologist prescribed, the pharmacist worked with my doctor to find an affective product that was covered, saving me hundreds of dollars. Lastly, I would recommend this pharmacy because as a mom and pop pharmacy they have the flexibility to work with you, something that chain pharmacies can't do because of corporate bureaucracy. read more

How refreshing in an era where much of the healing arts have become an routinized, bottom-line enterprise! They are open 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, and on the ground floor of this medical office building. Zaven expresses concern about making sure that the patients are informed about their insurance coverage, and also that they are educated about the products they are purchasing. Zaven is great. I decided to try him out after a visit with my physician located upstairs from the pharmacy. I got tired of waiting for my prescriptions at the Chain pharmacies EVEN after ordering on-line or calling a day or two in advance. The day I went in the prescription I needed, he had just ran out of. He had a bigger bottle and offered it to me for the same price. It's an injectable and this was great because it saved me the trip of having to come every month. He is a sweet caring man and makes sure you know all the interactions of the drugs. He definitely knows his stuff. After chatting with him, I found out his wife works at the hosptial I work at and I also worked with another family member at my other job. My prescriptions are always filled in quick manner. I'll call in and in 10 min they are ready. This is the service that should be around and reminds me of how the medical industry ie, doctors, pharmacisits and other used to be. Give him your business, the chains won't miss you. read more

I got a prescription filled here last week Tuesday. Zaven, the pharmacist is very caring and genuine. At first, you are taken aback because it's unusual, but then it becomes quite refreshing after you realize you have just been in Los Angeles for far too long ha ha ha! Seriously though, I've never had a better experience at a pharmacy. He really wanted to get to know me, make me comfortable and did everything he could do to help me cover the cost of my medication since I don't have insurance. He didn't act like he was better, but someone who understood what we face in tough economic times. He joked and made me laugh. His staff was very warm and friendly. I love love love my pharmacist...yes thats a little overboard but he is the best ever!!! EVER!!! I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else...however on Tuesday he sort of forced us...the price on one of my Moms scripts went way way up recently...so he had his assistant call Costco in Burbank to get their price....and then told us to go straight there...as they would be selling us at the old price and did not have price increases reflected yet.... Bah Humbug...we went off to Costco....horrible horrible experience..rude...cold..time wasters....OK yes my mom saved roughly $500 ..but like she said the price will increase there too once they run out of stock, actually she said she would have preferred to just pay the extra at Zavens..but we do appreciate him trying to help us out... Its all about service...this guy knows everyones name...he's very friendly, caring, and goes above and beyond what one would expect...he hunts out deals for you. I use to get my scripts from walmart...or costco..but never again...they make you feel like a burden as if they are doing you some big favor...always with a grudge.... Not here....Magnolia pharmacy is the only pharmacy for me, Zaven is the best ever....he's the kind of guy you end up friends with, almost want to take him to lunch for treating us so well all the time.... After over five years of dealing with Rite Aid, I needed to switch pharmacies and decided to give Magnolia Pharmacy a try. Let me just say, the 5 star reviews are warranted. The pharmacists are very knowledgeable and personable, with fast service to boot. I have been very accustomed to the two hour wait time to fill prescriptions, the need to re-order due to lack of stock, or the upsell of services such as flu shots while you wait. You won't find any of that here. Magnolia Pharmacy processed my insurance and filled my prescription in a matter of minutes.
