OTP but on the east side of town in the general vicinity of Northlake Mall near downtown Tucker. It's located in a strip center with plenty of parking and easy access for handicapped if needed. Cafeteria style where you go in and stand in line with a school lunch tray. Desserts first, of course, and a plethora to choose from. All delicious looking, red, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, chess pie, hot apple dumplings... just to name a few. I went with good old fashioned coconut pie. Then you get to salads. Again, wide variety and not just lettuce. Waldorf, peas, carrot and raisin, great variety there too. Next, you get to meats. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and gravy. Added green beans and squash to round out my "Meat and Three " plate. My friend got a vegetable plate with yams, carrots, roasted potatoes (that she said were delicious and could have eaten more of) and green beans. Then you get to bread that they try their best to force on you (in a good way) but I politely declined, twice. They give you a ticket and you go seat yourself in their spacious dining room. A server brought us lemon, took our trays and checked back occasionally to refill waters. Food was plentiful and delicious. Service behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. Service in the dining room was okay, but I think there was only one server for the whole space so we just figured that's why she was slow in getting back to us to refill waters. She was pleasant but I think spread thin. You pay as you leave. At first blush it seems expensive. Mine was about $20 and my friend's was about $14 but when we thought about it, it's not a typical fast food place you usually go to for lunch. It's more dinner meal and when viewed like that, it's not that bad.

This place never fails me. The food and service is superb. Everyone is so nice. The atmosphere is also amazing.

Magnolia Room has possibly some of the best southern food in the Atlanta area. Everything is cafeteria style, with an entree and two sides to a typical plate. Sometimes the cafeteria line will offer items not listed on the digital menu, so keep an eye out for unlisted faves! I don't think I've had an entree or side I haven't liked - all with that home cooked taste - though their cornbread can be a bit dry depending on the day. The main reason I knock a star off is for the prices lately. I feel like they've gradually creeped up as many places have. I understand material costs are high nowadays, but a lunch can easily be $20-30, which is more what I'd expect for an upscale restaurant rather than a cafeteria-style eatery.

We placed an online order for 12pm the following day. It was Mother's Day 2025. The parking lot was extremely full with lots of families walking in to eat celebrate with their moms. My husband walked in to get our order. It was ready and waiting on us. We had ordered two entrees, one vegetable plate and 3 pieces of pie. We took the food to Griffin to celebrate with our mother. Thank you, Magnolia House, for providing this kind of experience. Even though our order was takeout, we felt the love all the way in Griffin. We cannot wait to try it in person for the full experience.

Wow! Very attractive entry and beautiful dining room. The food is cafeteria style but oh my it all looks great! Hard to decide what to get. Servers are friendly and helpful. Line is fast and smooth. I had broccoli salad perfect in every way. Fried chicken tasty and delicious. Eggplant casserole delicious and flavor memorable. Hubby loved his Waldorf Salad. We will definitely be back. Thanks for Great Hospitality - MzAudra

This place is always awesome! The food is always fresh and the service is always spectacular! My only complaint today was my first time having the garlic bread and it was too soft. When you think of garlic bread you want that toasty crunch which it didn't have.

This is an old school cafeteria with all my soul food dreams! The plates are a great deal bc the servings are large and reheat well. My fried catfish was actually crispy and delicious the next day from the microwave! I got a chocolate pie and then also got banana pudding bc they were just so good. The staff is very friendly and attentive, kept my sweet tea full. It was clear the kitchen staff was very proud of their offerings and rightfully so! Can't wait to go back here! I'm sure it's insanely busy on the weekends bc I went on a rainy Wednesday afternoon and it was packed.

It's located right in the heart of downtown Tucker, with plenty of parking on the side and a spacious interior, including a private dining room for large parties. We came around 2:30 PM, after the lunch rush, so it wasn't too busy. The setup is cafeteria-style -- you grab a tray, walk down the line, and let the servers know what you'd like. Everything is à la carte, with entrées around $6-$8 and sides about $2.50-$3, so you're looking at roughly $15 per person for a full meal -- not bad at all. Everyday they have a different set menu of what they serve so you get a mixture. We ordered a bit of everything. I'm a big meatloaf fan, so I had to try it -- but unfortunately, it didn't live up to my hopes. It didn't look very appetizing and the texture was overly ground and slightly gritty because it was a bit dry. It comes with your choice of gravy or marinara sauce, but honestly, I would've preferred some classic ketchup on top instead. The fried fish was mostly batter with very thin fillets, so there wasn't much substance there either. The country fried chicken, however, was the highlight -- large portion, well-cooked, and flavorful. Just note that once you add the gravy, it loses that crispy texture and becomes soggy. The sides were decent but nothing memorable, and the bread and hush puppies were pretty dry. Since everything is counter-service, there isn't much staff interaction. You pay upfront, find your own seat, and when you're done, you just leave your tray -- there aren't any trash cans to clear your own table. Overall, the experience was just okay. It's a neat place with history and friendly vibes, but the food didn't quite hit the "soul" level I was hoping for. There are definitely other country-style spots I'd try before coming back.

It's an…read moreeasy spot to take guests from out of town or just swing by for a casual weeknight dinner. The drinks are strong, the menu is varied, and the service pretty consistent. Occasionally when seated out on the patio my partner and I have waited a while for food or to see our server, but the food is always tasty. I don't fault the servers for this, they're all really accommodating, sometimes it's just that busy! The drinks are also consistently strong & delicious, our favorites are the Mason Jar Margarita and the Tucker Tea (bourbon & sweet tea). The prices for cocktails are excellent and I hope that doesn't change any time soon. For eats, my partner gets the Steak and Frites, and would like people to know that if you tell this kitchen you want it rare, it'll be very rare bordering on bloody, so if you want on the rare side without it mooing, order medium rare. The Fish & Chips are good, but I usually go for the chicken tenders because they're tender and well-seasoned, and the fries are really good too. I get it with the delicious house-made ranch. When I indulge in an appetizer it's the basket of fried jalapeños that pair great with the aforementioned ranch and is a great portion to share with friends. If you aren't into the spicy vibe you can get a basket that's half jalapeños, half pickles which is equally tasty. I've brought plenty of people here and from the salads to the burgers, they've been consistently happy with the food. For desserts, they change daily- check the big chalkboard on the wall for the day's offerings. They source them from Southern Sweets Bakery so you know they're delicious. Parking is a little iffy but not terrible, you have the options of Main St, the parking lot around back, or the strip of parking across the street and between those options it tends to be fairly easy to find a free spot. Give them a shot!

My husband got wings which were listed as jumbo. They were an ok size, but definitely not jumbo. He did like the taste of the hot wings. I got the southwestern quesadilla which was ok. The quesadilla was not completely filled to capacity. I wouldn't order it again though. The chips and salsa that came with it were terrible. The chips tasted like those fried chip things you put in your won ton soup at a Chinese restaurant and the salsa was inedible. It tasted like it had gone bad or they just make a gross salsa. The best part was the fried basket with pickles and jalapeños. Those were very good except $10 seemed a bit high for this appetizer. $7 or $8 would make more sense. If we ever go back I would try a hamburger as I hear they are huge. But, then again, the wings weren't jumbo.

After a few visits, I've tried a good variety of the menu: * **Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich:** This is served open-face and uses a mix of Sichuan and Calabrian chili. It is absolutely amazing, but fair warning: it is *hot*. Even if you're used to Sichuan spice, this one may still be tough to deal with, but it's still incredibly flavorful and enjoyable. Just keep in mind that they don't adjust the heat level for this one. * **The Greens:** These are wonderful. They have a rich, savory pork flavor and are easily a must-order for me every single time. * **Shrimp and Grits:** This has a fantastic sauce that strikes the perfect balance--not too heavy, but not watery either. My only minor wish is that they'd add some andouille sausage to it (even if raised the price), but it's still a really well-executed dish. * **Southern Pho:** Really great and super hearty. It's a comforting bowl, though probably best enjoyed during the winter months. * **Drinks:** The cocktails are always creative and well-made, and they keep a really interesting beer list on hand too. ### 2.
