I was impressed by how many fun things there were to do. The boat and paddle board rentals on sight were great to have, though we didn't have time to take advantage on this trip. I really enjoy a good classic a resort, but sometimes they are hard to find. The massage was amazing. She did such a wonderful job getting out knots and tight spots without hurting me. The only thing I wish there was is fresh coffee in the lobbies in the morning. I hate K cups, personally. They don't taste good and are bad for the environment. Plus making coffee in the room wakes my wife up and I like to let her sleep in. They have a coffee shop, but I wanted it in a mug. We ended up going to the restaurant for coffee and a fruit bowl which was perfect. I loved all the little spaces to hang out and enjoyed writing in the little workspace on our floor. The view and setting made it easy to feel productive and made my writing feel less boring than usual (I'm in school). The staff were all super sweet and thoughtful throughout. So happy that this magical place exists! Excited to return. Our favorite part was Brook the kitty. We are big fans of hers.

Although we were seated quickly and had a nice view of Hood Canal, the service and food have not improved. Our waiter was very bland and gave the impression that he wasn't all that interested in being there. My GF had the crab cakes. As you can see in the photo, each was about the size of a fifty-cent piece. So each cost around $20 and were not worth anything close to that. My miso sturgeon was only ok. Dry and without a hint of miso, it was disappointing. The best item was the side Brussels Sprouts. Crisp and tasty. So, the restaurant and resort are well located, and I'm sure the hotel rooms are nice. You just may want to eat elsewhere.

We waited until they were done to fill up our 6 5-Gallon water jugs. The drive to the location was pleasant, and it was so simple to get the water since there were a lot of water hoses to use. Nice setup for the filtered Spring Water! Good to obtain and try since it's much closer than the previous location we used to go to. Outdoor area for the water is kind of hidden, but liked the convenience to get it for a small donation. Nice and scenic trails are available, too!

If alcohol is not allowed at the resort she should not keep it and should allow them to bring to their vehicle. No, she kept it for herself I guess. Either way there is no need for being so rude and degrading to each person coming through as we saw the people before us, us and after us treated badly. Stay away from this resort.

I booked a night in a Tower room since my work holiday party was being held in the Salmon room at…read morethe casino. The tower rooms are very conveniently attached to the casino and easy to get back-and-forth to your room. If you stay in a Resort Room, that building is not attached and you have to walk through the parking lot to get to the casino. I would say that that's the only downfall during the winter time of staying over there. But that is where the pool is so it just depends on what you're looking for at your stay. I have no complaints about the room, very clean and nice decor. My husband wished there was room service for breakfast the next morning but that is not available. I also wish they had valet parking. There is not nearly enough parking in the parking lot so if you don't find parking, you have to park in the parking garage and then walk all the way around back in to the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly and the checkout process was easy. The second part of this review is going to be on the service from my work holiday party. The room was beautifully set up and the food was delicious. The staff that were coming around refilling water and taking plates were very attentive and friendly. We really liked Richard. The one employee that we encountered was the bartender assigned to our room. My first encounter from her I thought she was just having a bad day and I let it go. Not welcoming or friendly at all. Not even a smile. But as the night went on people started talking and it seemed everyone was having a not so good encounter from Robyn. She did not ID anyone all night, except my coworker that asked for a mocktail. She was rude to some people and unprofessional to others. It just progressively got worse. Yes the management will be reaching out to the contact they have at the casino to let them know. I was just so taken back about how somebody could go out of their way to be so rude at a fun holiday party. Other than that, the experience was great and I would highly recommend renting an event room there. Is it worth the drive?...yes

However, for the amount of money they invest into the property and what guests are paying, the rooms should definitely be updated. The finishes and overall feel are a bit dated and don't quite match the price point or expectations for a special occasion stay. The staff was friendly and polite throughout our visit, which made interactions pleasant. One downside was the early check in time I paid extra for was not accommodated when we arrived. They did refund it, which I appreciated, but it was still inconvenient since we planned our anniversary schedule around getting into the room early. Brunch was good but limited, and having more menu options would really improve the overall experience. With some room updates and expanded brunch choices, this place would be much better. Right now it is solid, but not quite at the level it could be for the price and occasion.

3.5/5 The Royal Atlantis…read more The Atlantis Bahamas is truly a spectacular resort with stunning amenities and a breathtaking property. From the moment we arrived, the lush grounds and impressive architecture set the tone for a luxurious getaway. The beach here is absolutely gorgeous--powdery white sands and crystal-clear, turquoise waters that are perfect for relaxing or swimming. The scenery is postcard-worthy, making it a perfect backdrop for a memorable vacation. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, answering most of our questions with professionalism. We appreciated that they were able to accommodate our early arrival around 10 a.m. after a red-eye flight, which was a thoughtful touch. During our stay, we also ordered room service--a burger that was okay, but the fries were lukewarm and not very appetizing. To make matters worse, they didn't bring water or a straw with the meal. When we asked the server, the gentleman said he would be back to get them, but unfortunately, he never returned. That small detail really impacted our experience and highlighted some of the service inconsistencies throughout the resort. We did encounter a few other snags, especially with service at various venues. Some places felt like the staff were either absent or lacked enthusiasm, which was surprising given the high standards I expected at such a renowned resort. The overall experience was marred somewhat by the overpricing of food and drinks, with a 25% tax that included tip--quite steep, especially considering the quality of service. It felt like the extra charges might discourage staff from going above and beyond for guests, which was disappointing. Despite these issues, the one standout experience was the Dilly Club, which truly deserves a 5/5 rating. The servers there were especially friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed. Interestingly, we learned that the Dilly Club is privately owned; had it been operated directly by Atlantis, the service quality might not have been as impressive. Nonetheless, it was a highlight of our trip. On a positive note, the resort's gym was excellent--well-equipped, clean, and perfect for a good workout. The amenities and natural beauty of Atlantis are undeniably impressive, with the vibrant marine habitat, expansive pools, and the stunning beach and water views providing endless opportunities for relaxation and fun. For specific dining and entertainment experiences, check out my reviews for the Moon Bar, Bar Sol, Chop Stix, Silan, Dilly Club, Plato's, and Shake Shack, Cocodrilo, Plato's, The Dilly Club, Starbucks and so much more Overall, Atlantis Bahamas offers a beautiful setting with plenty of amenities, but some service inconsistencies and pricing issues slightly marred the experience. Still, the gorgeous beaches and water alone make it a destination worth visiting.

The rafting experience was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the pools, slides, and fitness center. The best meal I have ever had in my life was at The Stovehouse! Everything was absolutely delicious and truly a highlight of our stay. We highly recommend dining there. That said, there were some areas that could be improved. The biggest issue was the lack of clarity regarding which amenities and activities were available to hotel guests versus guests staying in privately owned properties, as well as what was included in the stay and what required an additional fee. Our arrival was particularly difficult. We had communicated in advance that we would be arriving early after traveling from California, but our chalet was not ready until after 5 p.m. We had perishable food with us and explained the situation, but unfortunately received very little assistance or compassion while waiting. Some of our food had to be discarded. One staff member assisting with cars and luggage was incredibly kind and brought us ice to help, which we greatly appreciated. Despite these issues, Suncadia is a beautiful property with tremendous potential. With clearer communication, better coordination for guests staying in privately owned properties, and more organized family activities included with your stay, I think the experience could be exceptional.

We arrived & the valet guy was incredibly helpful with the check-in process & transporting our bags to the room. The property is beautiful and our room with hot tub was impressive. The Source bar within the hotel has great drinks & food, but the service staff was the best I've ever had anywhere. The bartender, she made the drinks strong enough that it felt worth the cost (which I was greatful for) and made them sweeter when I needed them to be. The waiter Mason........ literally the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Just attentive enough to feel taken care of, but not so much to be annoying, he was also training a new employee and was doing a fantastic job from what i was seeing. Explaining the job to such a degree of understanding that I only wish every restaurant had a "Mason" to train new employees. I want to give 3 Gold stars to the chef for the perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp mac. Im no pro, but I know how hard it is to cook lobster & shrimp to perfection thanks to the Food Network and the perfectly Al Dente bucatini with marsala mushrooms were sauted to ultimate tastiness. It's been a long time since we've had a meal that well cooked & it was delicious. Day 2, My husband & I had couples massage & facial at The Glade. Emily & Hailey were absolutely amazing massage therapist, they both listened to our needs in detail & they were executed to absolute perfection. Not once, did I need to tell her softer or harder and I have a severely broken foot i had surgery on 6wks ago. Every move she made, was made with my absolute comfort & relaxation in mind. Conversion was easy & relaxed, it felt like we've known them both for years. I would suggest that management consider Hailey's ideas in adding soundbath therapies. That would have made an incredible experience that much better. After our massage, I had a facial with Abby. She as well, listened to my needs and gave me the most spectacular & soothing facial with an equally easy & relaxed conversation. It felt wonderful to be taken care of to such a degree. The oxygenating fizzofoliant was so wonderfully bizarre that I purchased a bottle for myself. We had dinner reservations made a few minutes down the road so we were given shuttle service by Doyle, a hilariously quirky lovely older gentleman that played the best music for our 5 minute trip and Ben who jumped in to pick us up after dinner when Doyle was busy shutting other guests. The food at The Stovehouse was incredibly delicious, the tortilla chips were freshly made & perfectly crisp, the salsa had just the right amount chunk to sauce to heat & the guacamole was so good it had to be handmade. Clearly by someone who has a 100 year old family guacamole recipe running through their veins. The tuna was perfectly seared and the greens fresh & crisp, but again, our server Brennan was just as fantastic as we had at The source. He was perfectly attentive without feeling overwhelming & was incredibly helpful with a few silly requests that I had. All the staff seemed genuinely happy and content to work there, not a single word or action felt forced or even only nice because they were being paid to as part of the job. I really hope they're paid well, because Suncadia hit the jackpot with all of them. The only complaints we could nit pick about was that with my broken foot I wasn't able to take the 1,000 steps down to the river, the coffee shop doesn't open until 7am & The Glade could use a cold plunge pool for the people who like to use the mineral pools & sauna for long periods of time. I only wish that we could afford to come here again. Ive literally never felt this relax and well cared for by everyone at Suncadia.

Unfortunately, after repeated experiences, it simply does not. As someone who frequently travels and dines at upscale restaurants and banquets, I can confidently say that what is marketed as refined here does not align with what is delivered. On multiple occasions, we found long dark hairs in our food -- including in my children's mac and cheese. This was not a one-time oversight. It became a pattern. Even more concerning, management-level staff with very long dark hair were consistently seen delivering food without it properly secured. When basic food safety standards appear optional at the leadership level, it speaks volumes. Beyond that, service execution is disorganized. Tables are crowded, and we repeatedly received incomplete settings or missing items -- condiments, steak knives, and at times portions of the meal itself. These are elementary details for any restaurant, let alone one positioning itself as upscale. The only bright spot was one blonde server named Sandi who handled the situation with professionalism and composure. She demonstrated the level of service the restaurant claims to embody. What ultimately makes the experience untenable is the atmosphere created by the head chef audibly yelling tickets and shouting at staff throughout service. A dining room should feel polished and controlled -- not chaotic and tense. After giving this establishment many opportunities to improve, we have decided not to return. High-end dining is not about price points or aesthetics -- it is about consistency, leadership, and standards. Those fundamentals are currently lacking here. Gorgeous place nonetheless.
