While working at a Dermatology conference I stayed one night at Suncadia resort, the views and quietness were welcomed as I was extremely exhausted. The hotel welcomes children of all ages, and pets. The lounge area located in the front is really cozy and accommodating to all, and there is also a s'mores available in the evenings directly outside from the lounge. The food served by the hotel at the conference was also filled fresh and crisp vegetables (that is VERY rare, thank you!!) If you're looking to host a meeting, or a quiet weekend for yourself Suncadia could be a great option just be sure to book MONTHS in advance; I recommend!

This has been one of the best family vacations we have had. We only booked two days as we had never been here, but am already planning a longer return trip. It's perfect for kids, there are parks and pools everywhere. The staff was overwhelmingly nice and helpful. The rooms were cozy and beds comfortable. There are walking trails everywhere! Everything is also extremely well kept as well. They also seem to be building additions like a little store and coffee stand? It doesn't hurt it was only an hour 1/2 drive to this little paradise in the mountains.

So just want to set the record straight that though the reviews aren't great, I really like the actual location and surroundings. The views are free and same as the 1000 steps to the river. My husband and I brought our father in law here and we booked an Airbnb within the suncadia resort so it was cheaper. We didn't get the amenities like pool usage but that was fine with us. We mainly dined outside of the resort to save money but just wanted to give a heads up that the trailheads etc are all free. Their parking is also free in the lot but really crowded at times. I would consider another trip to Suncadia. It was a pleasant experience for us. Extremely windy though!!!

My wife and I booked a stay at The Inn at Suncadia for a quiet, romantic getaway. What we got was the opposite. At check-in, we were told we'd been "upgraded" to a large condo. Sounds great on paper--if we had brought kids, cousins, and a dog. But we didn't. It was just us. The Inn would have been perfect for something cozy and intimate. The condo? It felt cold, oversized, and awkward for two people trying to reconnect. Check-in was also surprisingly unhelpful. No walkthrough of amenities, no guidance on how to make the most of our one-night stay--just a map and a "good luck." For a resort that markets itself as luxury, the welcome was sterile at best. The one real highlight was the 1,000 Steps hike down to the river--beautiful views and a great bit of exercise. And dinner at Swiftwater Cellars was excellent: great food, fantastic service, and a lovely setting. Easily the best part of the trip. Checkout, however, was another headache. The "express checkout" email had a broken link. I had to manually email the front desk to confirm we were good to leave. Then I got my final bill three times, in three formats, from three different addresses. It was like no one was talking to each other behind the scenes. Bottom line: Suncadia might be great for families or big groups, but it's not built for couples. It felt more like a high-end corporate retreat than a relaxing romantic escape. Also, there's a strong air of wealth here, but not in a warm or welcoming way--more in a detached, "you're lucky to be here" kind of way. Glad we came for the hike and the wine. Wouldn't come back for the stay.

Loved our visit to Suncadia. We stayed in a suite because it was a weekend for us sisters, mom, and our pups and we needed the space. The grounds are great and they have trails and a smore's bar in the evening. We enjoyed the pool at the main resort but that's really a token pool. You have access to the many pools of the resort, which we discovered on the last day, so we pool hopped. The big pool with the water slides was great, but the day we were there, the chlorine levels were so high you couldn't breathe just standing near the exit of the slides, so we didn't try that. (Btw, pools aren't supposed to smell like chlorine. If you smell the bleach, it's because a lot of people have peed in the water, so ew). The dining is fabulous and the spa side is great. There are two hot tubs in the spa- the co-ed side which was sunny and the shaded side for the ladies. Can't speak for the men's spa, but the ladies side was cold from the shade, but definitely had more space because everyone else wanted to be in the sun. We took that side because we liked the seclusion. They serve snacks and drinks to order which you can sign for since you're probably not caryring a credit card in your robe. If you get a spa treatment, then you go into the waiting space which has gigantic doors so the scale and opulence impresses. My masseur was good. Not the best massage I've had, but he was nice. Can't wait to go back to Suncadia!

Wonderful stay for a weekend getaway! The pool and hot tub was clean, with the hot tub was hot enough for a cold day. The room and room's amenity was great. The shuttle driver was a friendly lady who enjoyed short conversations. The steam room and sauna were clean also, we really enjoyed the fitness and wellness center. The food as The Source was not bad though it could be better. And the view was just purely beautiful!

Incredible......Every minute of our 2 day stay was absolutely incredible…read more To be fair, we are normal everday middle class people, so it doesn't take much to exceed expectations. We arrived & the valet guy was incredibly helpful with the check-in process & transporting our bags to the room. The property is beautiful and our room with hot tub was impressive. The Source bar within the hotel has great drinks & food, but the service staff was the best I've ever had anywhere. The bartender, she made the drinks strong enough that it felt worth the cost (which I was greatful for) and made them sweeter when I needed them to be. The waiter Mason........ literally the best waiter I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. Just attentive enough to feel taken care of, but not so much to be annoying, he was also training a new employee and was doing a fantastic job from what i was seeing. Explaining the job to such a degree of understanding that I only wish every restaurant had a "Mason" to train new employees. I want to give 3 Gold stars to the chef for the perfectly cooked lobster and shrimp mac. Im no pro, but I know how hard it is to cook lobster & shrimp to perfection thanks to the Food Network and the perfectly Al Dente bucatini with marsala mushrooms were sauted to ultimate tastiness. It's been a long time since we've had a meal that well cooked & it was delicious. Day 2, My husband & I had couples massage & facial at The Glade. Emily & Hailey were absolutely amazing massage therapist, they both listened to our needs in detail & they were executed to absolute perfection. Not once, did I need to tell her softer or harder and I have a severely broken foot i had surgery on 6wks ago. Every move she made, was made with my absolute comfort & relaxation in mind. Conversion was easy & relaxed, it felt like we've known them both for years. I would suggest that management consider Hailey's ideas in adding soundbath therapies. That would have made an incredible experience that much better. After our massage, I had a facial with Abby. She as well, listened to my needs and gave me the most spectacular & soothing facial with an equally easy & relaxed conversation. It felt wonderful to be taken care of to such a degree. The oxygenating fizzofoliant was so wonderfully bizarre that I purchased a bottle for myself. We had dinner reservations made a few minutes down the road so we were given shuttle service by Doyle, a hilariously quirky lovely older gentleman that played the best music for our 5 minute trip and Ben who jumped in to pick us up after dinner when Doyle was busy shutting other guests. The food at The Stovehouse was incredibly delicious, the tortilla chips were freshly made & perfectly crisp, the salsa had just the right amount chunk to sauce to heat & the guacamole was so good it had to be handmade. Clearly by someone who has a 100 year old family guacamole recipe running through their veins. The tuna was perfectly seared and the greens fresh & crisp, but again, our server Brennan was just as fantastic as we had at The source. He was perfectly attentive without feeling overwhelming & was incredibly helpful with a few silly requests that I had. All the staff seemed genuinely happy and content to work there, not a single word or action felt forced or even only nice because they were being paid to as part of the job. I really hope they're paid well, because Suncadia hit the jackpot with all of them. The only complaints we could nit pick about was that with my broken foot I wasn't able to take the 1,000 steps down to the river, the coffee shop doesn't open until 7am & The Glade could use a cold plunge pool for the people who like to use the mineral pools & sauna for long periods of time. I only wish that we could afford to come here again. Ive literally never felt this relax and well cared for by everyone at Suncadia.

Our stay at Suncadia the past two days was nothing short of disappointing. We had booked a stay…read morehere based on a family member's recommendation after she had a phenomenal experience last year. From check in to (early) check out it progressively got worse. We were coming for our babymoon and had requested as quiet a room as possible at the Inn (a more secluded stay to begin with). The room itself was mid-tier as knobs were broken on the side table, the patio only had one chair (despite other rooms having two chairs) and was covered in pine needles, there wasn't a way to stir the coffee made in the room (no spoons feels odd considering they have cream and sugar), and the shower struggled to get any hot water despite our best efforts. Starting on our second day, we found ourselves in a room next to a family where we could hear their young baby/toddler screaming and crying most hours they were in their room. Not a relaxing way to spend some private time together before we become a family of three. In terms of the restaurants, there were the two main restaurants and the service was lackluster throughout our stay. Almost no one checked in on us, food items were out at Stovehouse on our second day (which as a gluten free individual, became incredibly restrictive), and at one point my husband had to flag down a different waiter just so we could get our check and leave. The food itself was mediocre at best. It felt like most of the staff were new at their job as we had to constantly point out false charges (the guy at Rope Rider Golf Course tried to charge my husband for a round of golf despite it being included in our stay package) or failed to let us know about any hotel amenities (we missed s'mores hour the first night because no one told us where it was or how to be a part of it and no one let us know how to access the wifi). What was the nail in the coffin was our third day. We had booked the Putt and Pamper Package specifically to discount down one of my spa treatments as I am almost in my third trimester and wanted a day of relaxation and discounting down one of two treatments would be helpful financially. When I called to book my treatments (50-minute massage and 80-minute body treatment), my personal concierge was struggling to get the treatments booked on her end as she wasn't perfectly connected to the spa system, but let me know she'd get the two treatments booked and would call me if there were any issues. I never received a call so I assumed everything was taken care of. When I went in to check in for my spa treatments, the spa told me I was not even on the schedule and they could only accommodate both treatments if they were hours apart from each other. I ended up ditching the body treatment and kept the 50 minute massage (which would have absolutely been a longer massage had I not booked the room package I did). No concessions were offered which was surprising to me as someone who works in a customer service type role myself and is often in a position to offer those sorts of things when mistakes like this occur and I got to my massage later in the day trying to keep a positive attitude. The massage itself was nice but I could barely enjoy the rest of the spa's amenities as it began raining and the spa tubs and other pools were all outdoors in direct line of the rain. After all of this, we decided to cut our losses and leave a day early. The manager was at least accommodating considering everything and refunded our room fee for the third night, but it was still a disappointing end to what was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip for my husband and I. The one highlight was a day of golf at Rope Rider with my husband. A beautiful golf course and challenging for golfers of all levels.

I did see they were listed on Airbnb as well, but I booked directly through their website, we got the King studio for around $200 for the night. The morning of check-in I received an email for a contactless check-in, that was a nice touch! The hotel is in a great location and main street is just around the corner from it! We parked on the street, got into our room with the code they emailed us, and walked into town for dinner. The room is super cute! Nice modern touches all around. The walls are kinda thin, later in the night we heard ppl downstairs, it sounded like in the staircase, and it was pretty loud, but didn't last for long. The bed was comfy, they had dishes, mini fridge (no freezer in this room), and a convenient microwave. I did notice this hotel is listed on Redfin for sale ($4+ mill, I was just poking around Redfin and noticed the listing). Hopefully if they sell, the facilities will stay as nice! I asked the front desk and they have been open for almost 2 years they said. Looks brand spanking new still, especially compared to the historic buildings of Roslyn. Loved our stay here and would recommend to friends under current management! (which a friend did end up booking for a weekend because she saw my photos I posted on my IG hehe)

We used to do a lot more Oregon coast or Whistler but with border closing and Oregon shutting down! Can't do much. Love: we love suncadia. Our recent trip this month was for my birthday. So I decided to splurge and get a penthouse. We didn't need that much room but figured why not! Not all rooms were created equal. That's for sure! We checked into our penthouse to find deli fried chicken someone left in the fridge, m&ms under bed, dust all over! Especially behind the tv stand, very visible area. Also candy wrappers on the floor. It was very poorly cleaned especially for pandemic! I went to front desk and showed them the photos of all the dust, chicken and candy wrappers. The girl was nice apologized and gave us resort credit. You can use it only in the lodge building restaurant/ bar and gift shops. Which came in handy later when we found out the fridge didn't work and ended up having to dump all our food. Also: Devon from front desk: first told me he'd check with manager for changing rooms. Later, turned out he was the manger. That was weird and left a sour taste. Back to the room: It's a full size massive fridge. I brought cakes, food and other perishable items in cooler bags with ice. Also a blue tooth device for the fridge just to keep the temperature in checked. It took 4-5 hours for the fridge to cool down / below 50 degrees. Ended up having to dump the food because food in warm fridge? Just unnecessary! They can't do much to help except give me ice. They did send someone up but he told me he doesn't trust anything with smart phone devices. And told me I was wrong. aka the blue tooth's temperature! Overall, love suncadia and previous stays. Hate suncadia penthouse stay/ experience!! Would not come back for this. Or if we do, definitely skipping the penthouse!Too many errors for one room. Totally not worth it and ruined our happy spot. When I walked in my room, I loved everything about it! It really was reminiscent of a lodge in the woods, as the decor reflected that. The TV was a good size with tons of channels to choose from. There's an AC/fan built in, but the AC noise is loud every time it kicks on and shuts off. The microwave and mini fridge both have bright screens that are annoying when sleeping at night, so I wish those were in a different location. The room came with 2 sinks, which is a plus - one outside the bathroom, and 1 inside. The bathroom door wouldn't stay fully open because it's so light, but at night, it helped with blocking the sunlight from the bathroom window. The showerhead came with multiple settings, but it felt kind of low, but worked for me because I'm shorter. I had trouble flushing the toilet because they were half buttons, but I probably needed to hold down longer on them. There was plenty of towels as well. The main issue was I could hear every time someone closed their doors. It sounded like people were slamming their doors constantly. Otherwise, I didn't hear any other noises, which is a surprise. Usually I can hear plumbing, water running, stomping, etc. from other rooms. Maybe no one was staying above us, though, but there was someone next door. The bed wasn't that great because I could feel every time my husband moved, but at least it was a real king sized bed. The pillows worked for me because I prefer lower ones. I felt like the fleece blanket and other blanket on top (looked like a tablecloth) weren't necessary. I prefer white comforters, even if they're the thin kinds. There was a spider in our bed at one point, but we didn't see any bugs. I forgot to take a picture, but the continental breakfast had cereal, hard boiled eggs, sausages, biscuits, bread, bagels, little muffins, make your own waffles, apples, and bananas. There's also an orange juice and lemonade machine. One of the hardboiled eggs I had wasn't fully cooked, but the others were fine.
