Our master bedroom shower heads were constantly dripping for about a week, so we called Magnum Plumbing based on a review on a community Facebook page. After I submitted my request online, Aven called me a few hours later to set up an appointment. We had Steven come out the next day. Steven was on time and very polite and personable. He was able to provide a temporary fix to our diverter and replaced the cartridge in our shower (these necessary fixes were communicated with me before Steven started the job). I didn't realize our shower handle would also need to be replaced, and after talking to Aven, I found out the replacement handle they purchased ended up being the bulk of the cost. When I talked to Aven about the price and asked for an itemized invoice, he became very condescending, frustrated, and pushy (which was very different from our initial interaction to book the appointment). Maybe their company has dealt with customers not paying them before, and that's what caused the change in tone? Regardless, it left a bad impression and was disappointing. I think a customer should not feel uncomfortable asking about the service that was provided and the cost. Since that experience, we have moved into a different house and have used a different plumber we are very happy with! read more

Shady company that does not pay their bills on time. Over 6 months late, blocked our phone numbers, and then refused to pay the full amount once we finally got ahold of them. Called us for an "emergency" project that his normal vendor couldn't cover. We completed the job with not one single complaint. Six months later when we finally got ahold of him he repeatedly told us that we sent our laborer out in a personal vehicle. We are a union company that has been in business for over 40 years. Pretty sure if we used personal vehicles on a jobsite we would not be in business. We will never work for this company again. Owner (Aven) told us what we should be charging him based on his regular vendors rates (who couldn't cover the job). At the end of the day, we came thru for them in an emergency and then was told they refuse to pay the entire bill because we are taking advantage of him. My brother was installing a new bathroom sink..my almost 40 year old valves crumbled while he was trying to get them off. Aven called me back immediately after I requested a quote and came out the next day he phoned 10 mins before he arrive to let me know he was on the way. As it turned out it was a bigger job than he had anticipated over the phone but set me up with an appointment the next day and fixed it so I could use the water until he got there. They came over, stopped the leak and then corrected the issue. Since the unit was vacant, I was concerned about turning water back on. Aven was friendly when we spoke with him. He assured us his company was the right choice and he could take care of our plumbing issue. We scheduled an appointment and shortly before the scheduled appointment time, he texted that his company had to cancel the appointment. We texted back twice asking him for a reschedule date. He never responded to our texts and did not even have the courtesy to contact us again to let us know he would not be able to reschedule or ever take care of our plumbing needs. We suggest continuing your search for a good, reliable plumber as Magnum is not only unreliable, but inconsiderate in their dealings with potential customers, and the owners are clearly flakes! read more

Unfortunately only one star on this review. When he came the first time he needed just one more part for the toilet but had to order it. Aven said when he would come it would be on him , no charge and now I see why. I had to call him to see if he remembered. We did set up an appt around his schedule. He said he'd come between 8-10 and texted at 8:50 he was sick so, we reschedule. He was suppose to come at 8 this morning but canceled because his babysitter "flaked". I thought maybe he would reschedule for this week but that was a big fat NO. He texted me and said," see what your schedule looks like and will work out something". Weather it be my schedule or his schedule there is obviously no worries about coming back. In fact his text to me was, " Your toilet is working. This is not an emergency. This is a free service". Evidently free puts you on the back burner. Aven wants to resolve this but it's to late. He gets a zero this time around and I will never use him again! read more
