We called Vets 4 You to provide a free estimate on some plumbing work. Rob and Dean provided the free estimates and a lot of Options to fit our budget. They also provide financing which we could fit within our monthly budget. We decided to go with a tankless water heater, and a Halo water system. Dean supervised the whole installation. First, the company came out and did all the work within 24 hours of receiving the estimate. They had all the old torn out and everything new installed in less than 8 hours. We had our tankless hybrid water heater which with the help of the power outage. The company went out of business and luckily we just had their HVAC decision out maybe a month ago. I bought a full AC /furnace system from this company three years ago, and every year I've been having issues when it's time to turn the furnace on, this year it happened again, and when I call the company for service, they told me that the company is no longer in business, when I bought the system, I had a 10 year no questions ask warranty, and the new company will not honor that warranty. If I could give a "0" score, I would. Most awful contractor experience that has caused us six months of unfinished renovation of damage. Three of four jobs requested were faulty, including leaving new faucet unconnected (water damage underneath), leak in water inlet/pressure valve into house (flooding garage), and cheap unprofessional shower handle install that loosened quickly after use. Eventually had to hire another plumber to fix residual issues. Requests to Vets 4 You for consideration went unanswered. Complete opposite experience from their motto "We're Committed To Do The Job - Every Job - The Right Way! It is our priority to make sure that your customer experience is the superior! Vets For You® lives up to the Navy Seabee motto, and we use our "Can Do" attitude to deliver professional services...". Appointments were postponed, water mitigation company fessed that they were to do the bare minimal effort to resolve water damage, owner didn't return several calls, texts, or emails and postponed appointments to make things right. We have used Vets4u in the past with a very good outcome, but NOT this time. I understand new owners took over. We called because our Heat Pump did not work after all the rains. The tech checked the system and its was a faulty circuit breaker! He checked out the Capaciter and said it was not working! We were given a estimate for a circuit breaker change of $650 AND $400 for the capaciter. which we thought was Highway robbery. It turns out my husband got breaker at Home Depot for $35 and installed it himself with a U tube demo in 20 minutes. The Heat Pump worked but the fan didn't , turns out the technican put it in backwards When he was checking it, (I am sure that was intentional). The system works great now. We were changed a fee for troubleshooting of $250 with NO DISCOUNT FOR BOTH OF US BEING VETS. DISHONEST stay away. read more

Well, timing is everything, and Jordan was the right guy for helping me deal with a challenging and ongoing plumbing reality! Mainline with a history of clogs, 70 year-old house, and two beautiful big junipers in front of the house.(our 2 toilets were either not flushing, or barely flushing; the worst) I had just read the words "hydro-jetting", while searching online, and had my own great, but wrong idea of what that might be. I told Jordan the whole history of issues with our mainline and the age of the house. Jordan was very knowledgeable, and able to answer my questions, and my doubts.(sure enough, he was going to school for work in the field. I could pretty much tell!)‍ When I asked about hydro-jetting, he informed me of what that entails and why. He offered a plan, three plans actually. I couldn't believe that he could get all that done in two to three hours. He said he could and would with the help of another guy who arrived within 10 minutes. Well, they did the hydro-jetting, reseated the two toilets that needed to be unseated for the process, AND Jordan left the toilet base and floor of the front bathroom looking better than when he arrived!! Seriously! I was pleased/impressed! I told him jokingly, that I seriously needed a "plumbing maid" because there were so many other "small things" to address/GET FIXED! Again, the timing was right and he and I made a plan for me to finally address so many little things 'one' puts on the proverbial "back burner"!! Finally we took a look at the pipes with a scope. Clean, cleared, but also clear that I will need their services for bigger, major work, on old corroding and even collapsing cast iron pipes. I'd like to comment on two things now that its been a month since the work by Vets 4 you in my house. The company: easily one of the top companies I have worked with. Courteous, respectful and considerate of the house. Did exactly what they said they would do. No bs, no change in scope of the project. Wore masks. Kept 6 ft apart. Their installation was clean and neat, installed a water system so it would be hidden in a closet. Their quote was clear, no bs, and they went above and beyond to make the system look good in the garage. Rod and Eddie were just awesome and very professional. The system: they installed the Halo whole house system to help control the effects of hard water in la costa area. Now that I have had it for a month, I can say I really love it. After 4 weeks, no more cloudy spots at all in the dishwasher, the crock pot, the black sink. No more dandruff and dry scalp. The glass door in the shower still has white spots, but its different; they wipe off easily, its more of a powdery residue than hard water stains. The water tastes great anywhere in the house. Blankets smell great for longer and seem way softer to the touch. We installed it because our water heater broke because of mineral build up and we wanted to prevent this from happening again, but the added benefits were a nice surprise. This place is a total scam , they used to be Yogis plumbing and ever since this company bought them, the prices doubled and the service has gone completely down hill. I had them come out to fix my shower. I provided the part, Theo installed that part and the water still wouldn't get hot, he told me that we need to replace the entire valve behind the tile. I said let me think about it. He said you owe $425...for 1 hour of work and the shower still not getting hot and I provided the part, $425 for just labor for 1 hour... I told him I would pay the bill only if that $425 could be used toward the total bill when they come fix the whole thing, Theo said yes, we can credit you that toward the bill. Fast forward 2 weeks, I just received the bill to fix the whole thing and they said I had to sign on the spot in order to get that discount. That's not what Theo said that day...What a bait and switch company, please don't now use this company, STAY AWAY, they will charge you double, not complete the work and will not stand behind their word....worst plumber in San Diego by far!!! read more

I've dealt with a lot of contractors in my home. My house was built in 1959 and was a fixer-upper when purchased 7 years ago. I'm a pretty handy guy but there are some jobs that are beyond me. He was very straight-forward, and utilized my knowledge of the home to make his recommendations. His bid was also highly competetive. We ended up getting a 2-stage central air unit installed and he made the process painless. His team got started on this job within a few days and were terrific. With most contractors I've hired - once I signed a work order I never saw the owner or project manager again. Not so with Vets 4 You. My Wife and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically endorse and recommend Vets4You Plumbing Heating & Air! Rod Russell made himself available to us at our convenience (which, if memory serves, was on Sunday) to come out and identify the nature and severity of a leak that had *tripled* our water bill. He was very friendly, likeable, enthusiastic, and professional. My wife was very much impressed by his personality and professionalism, and as a fellow Marine Corps veteran he and I had that instant rapport that only genuine esprit de corps can generate, and he won our business right then and there. We were able to set an appointment to get the work done for the following Wednesday morning. Rod Russel and James Dean arrived early, after sending an ETA text message to confirm, and immediately got to work. They worked swiftly and confidently and managed to locate the pipes that needed to be isolated while making minimal incursions in the drywall...especially considering the remarkably difficult and bafflingly inconvenient location of the piping in the forced air heating intake/return box in the garage. They laid down covers on our floors to prevent any scuffs/damage and cleaned everything up before they left. In addition to the necessary repair, Rod identified that the feed line to the water heater had the wrong kind of valve and that the connection to the water heater was non-standard. He could've ignored it (I already knew that the valve and connection was improper, my Father having been a Home Builder and had experience with plumbing) but he said, and I quote, "...I cannot in good conscious leave that, give me a few more minutes and I'll make it right..." and he did. Now I had been informed beforehand that they do not perform the drywall repairs, however they do have a relationship with a business that does great work and the owner of that business came out personally to review what would need to be done and was able to quote a price before everything had even been packed up. Tuesday afternoon, we discovered a puddle in our garage that was coming down from the shower/bath above. We called Vets For You and they had an inspector out the next morning. After inspecting, the situation looked grim. To get at a defective vale, it looked like we would have to cut through sheet rock. Today, Mel Nelson from Vets For You arrived to start the repair. He had a theory of a simpler and less costly way to fix the leak. He spent several hours zeroing in on the problem. Bottom line: Mr. Nelson got the leak fixed today. His solution reduced the initial estimate of $3,000 to a little over $600. Some businesses might be tempted to stick with the original estimate and an expensive repair. But Mr. Nelson and Vets For You did the right thing. We have an old house. We will likely have plumbing needs in the future. If so, we'll call Vets For You. We are now loyal customers. Since that time we have used Vets For You several times for various repairs for our aging house - from clogged bathroom sinks, to clogged septic lines. Roots in a section of the septic line were again giving us trouble and we knew who to call to get the job done. Their technician, Eric, explained the various options (procedures) that could be done to get the line free of roots. We agreed upon a course of action and Eric did a great job of clearing the roots.
