We had a toilet leak, Eric from all about plumbing diagnosed the leak and then referred us to a contractor called Ray Buchanan to fix the floors and shower. Ray Buchanan ripped apart our shower and all the floors. Overpriced all the materials and took full and final payment from our insurance and additional amount from us for "home improvement"and never showed up at our place to fix the shower post payment. Eric referred us to a fraud called "Ray Buchanan" who not only took insurance money but also overcharged us in the name of home improvement and never completed the work. Incredibly bad experience! Their plumber fixed one problem, but caused two more problems that left our shower non-functional for weeks. When I called them back, they sent another guy out who didn't know how to fix it, but promised he would go away and "research it". He never came back, and when we called the office for followup, they refused to return to our house to correct the problem. They said they didn't know how to fix it, but that they could cut into my travertine walls and replace the valves inside the wall, which of course was utterly ridiculous. They said they would consult their manager about a refund, but never called me back. We had to pay another plumber to come fix the problem caused by All About Plumbing, which he did in a matter of minutes. We had to battle All About Plumbing with our credit card company in order to have our fee returned to us. read more

I have a company which i regularly use to clean a pipe in my driveway that backs up every year due to roots in the line. Its a routine maintenance which has been going on for years, and they provide video of the line before and after servicing. This time I called All About Plumbing. The technician/manager came out and snaked the property. I got a call afterward saying the line was very long (which it is) and they had to go get alternate equipment to reach the end of the pipe. Well, they got the equipment and 'cleared it.' I paid them for the work. A day later my tenant called saying the pipe backed up again. The technician was called and they returned to the property to try again 'complimentary.' This time apparently they avoided snaking and used a bladder to clear it, but this wasnt communicated to me. Less than a week later the pipe backed up AGAIN. I called a new company who I asked to use a camera (standard in my experience but i never received any video from All About Plumbing) before snaking it. There are roots in the pipe that were never cleared and what appears to be a snake (or two) in the line. The inspector also noted a hole in the pipe nearby the tangle. The snake is new, no rust on it. I called All About Plumbing to explain that I have video from my last yearly cleaning with no snake stuck in the line. I have a company which provided no video, had to change equipment, and had a pipe backup still full of roots 3x in two weeks. They also noted a break in the pipe, which again, was never mentioned before their visit or on the video, and wanted my business to replace the pipe. I was told by the manager this wasnt his doing. I have no other reasonable explanation. I have to pay 9000$ dollars to dig up and replace the pipe which should have been a routine 170$ clearing. I hate writing reviews but i feel legitimately cheated. If this wasnt your teams doing, then whos was it? The snake was snapped starting 3 feet into the pipe. I spoke with Vickie and she told me (after I had paid a check of $325.00) to Jagger that they do "free estimates" I did not feel comfortable moving forward with "All about plumbing" because of the bad reviews they had. Vickie said that she understood my concern, and on Friday 5/26 she would void out my check and send the $325.00 back to me. We'll the bad feeling in my gut was right! On Tuesday I saw in my bank account that they cashed the check that they "said" they were sending back to me on Friday. Spoke with Vickie and said she didn't know her manager had cashed the check and that she couldn't give me the money back. Last Friday I had come to find out that I had a pipe burst from my hot water tank to my kitchen and couldn't get my normal plumber out until Saturday morning. My husband called to have someone from All About Plumbing come out at 10 pm to at least try and get my water off. The answering service told my husband someone would be out within an hour. This was the least of my concerns. I did not have a shut off valve to the main water and this was all I needed, was to get the water off. I received a call from one of the plumbers who was rude and inconsiderate to my situation and when I told him I needed someone to install a shut off valve he flat out said "I don't want to have to wake any of my guys up" and "well, that's not going to happen." The office manager followed up with me and apologized for the situation and stated I would be receiving something from them in the mail. Yesterday I received a $100 gift certificate for this company. Thank you, but no thank you. Myself, my friends and my family will not be using your company. Be more compassionate and considerate in the future and don't offer emergency services if you don't intend to help people. read more

I contacted All About Plumbing to review/advise on a tankless water heater I installed in my converted garage. They were responsive and able to accommodate same day service. Eric arrived promptly, and after reviewing the install, informed me that it wasn't done correctly, recommended a new install of another water heater, and said he could complete the work the same day for a discounted price. I was disappointed that my original install was not viable but relieved that Eric could help and felt the price was reasonable. He left to get tools and supplies, and as soon as he returned he closed an irrigation water valve in my front yard, and a pipe immediately broke. He then came to find me and asked where the main water shut off was. He informed me he had broken a pipe in the front yard and gave me the option to have him fix the broken pipe or install the water heater. I chose to have the heater installed so my family would have hot water in the house and he said he would be back later to fix the irrigation pipe. The install was completed in a timely manner but, upon completion, Eric asked if I could help him clean up my living space that had been flooded with water. He told me a valve was left open which resulted in many items in the converted garage getting soaking wet. I hustled to move things outside to dry as Eric told me all I would need to do was use a shop vac to clean up the standing water. I was frustrated as the converted garage is a well cared for bedroom/living space - water all over the floor, walls, bedding, rugs, etc. was not an ideal situation. Eric agreed to give me $100 off of my bill. Eric walked me through the process of looking after the water heater and told me to call in a year for maintenance and to call if I ever have any problems, I appreciated his thoroughness in this regard. Eric assured me he would return the following Monday to fix the irrigation pipe. As I was signing the invoice on Eric's phone he watched over me as I was given the option to tip and he said "The light in here sucks by the way". I still tipped him as he was standing right there, despite the insult and feeling that the work was not truly done with care. Once he left, I spent the better part of an hour cleaning up water, pipe debris and other messes that Eric had left behind. Eric returned on Monday, fixed the irrigation pipe, and then proceeded to tell me there would be a $200 charge for the repair. I was genuinely surprised and asked why I was being charged for an irrigation pipe that he had broken. He told me it was not his fault because the pipe was too old. I didn't agree with this reasoning but paid the bill as my anxiety had the better of me. Just wanted to share my experience so others can decide if the service I've described meets what they are looking for. I consider myself an honest person and have met some great contractors over the last decade of homeownership projecting, but this experience wasn't one I'd want to repeat. read more

We found a water leak in our master bathroom wall this morning. A friend recommended All About Plumbing and they sent out Zac to our home within 20 minutes!! He was able to quickly identify where the leak was, cut through the drywall and replace the portion of the pipe that was bad. He could see that there was water damage inside the wall so he recommended a water restoration company who has also already been here same day to begin the drying out process. What could have been a really stressful situation, was handled so quickly (and affordably!) by this company, it literally made our jaws drop. I mean, who provides service like that anymore?! I am a property manager in Oceanside Ca and we manage hundreds of rental properties. I am the Broker of the company and also own rentals. We use plumbers consistently and have a good idea of costs, practices, etc. based on our experience over the years. I used All About Plumbing per an owners request. This was a big mistake. I do not recommend them. Here is the reasoning: 1) They were scheduled to go to the property in Oceanside Monday morning and provide a quote for the work. They were told to call us first for authorization on repairs over $200 (this requirement was in writing and communicated verbally). 2) The phone dispatcher and plumber were totally on separate pages, I called 2x that morning to try and get the quote. They told me plumber was not there yet. 3) Several hours later they call me and tell me the plumber was already there, he fixed the issue and it would cost $400. Then they back tracked and said it would cost $695. 4) The plumber spent 1 hour at the property and 1 hour searching for parts (2 hours total). He replaced a section of copper about 2 feet long in a very accessible location. Most plumbers charge $95 - $130 per hour plus labor. This job should have cost $300 - $400 and we have many previous work orders of similar jobs to back this up. 5) I asked them to re-adjust the cost based on the fact I did not get a quote and the fact that the work was over priced. 6) I also asked for their manager to call me. They just responded back with an email that they would not change the invoice price and they threatened to slap a lien on the property owner. I will never use this plumber again, and as a property manager in North County San Diego, I recommend you do the same. read more

If I could give NO stars, I would!!! This has got to be the most unprofessional company I have every had the displeasure of being involved with. Bear with me this review is going to be a bit long... My family and I had Just got back from being out of the country for a death in the family, this was on a saturday. We get home and there is a nice little puddle of water on the floor and a bubble in the ceiling above it. After looking online for a 24hr plumbing company and calling several, with no response, we finally get a call from these guys saying that they could be out to the house the next day. Tomorrow morning (sunday) comes and Eric (plumber) shows up. He comes in, take a look, cuts way the wet drywall and drains the remaining of the water. Looks up and points to the fire sprinkler pipe and says "thats the problem". I show him the fire box and he notices there is not individual shut off valve for the fire sprinkler system. He then offers to install one for us. Now being super jet lagged, I did not think to ask him how much this will cost us, nor does he tell me before he starts to cut the pipe and does his thing. We go back in the house and finish up the invoice. This visit cost me $429 just for him to cut my ceiling and point to the problem, supposedly they offer "FREE" estimates, $429 doesn't seem like free. He stated that electronic leak detection was used, but no such tool was used. Then the valve install cost me another $789. Keep in mind that the actual pipe that has the leak was not fixed. Eric then tells me that they dont have those parts in stock and he will get them on monday or tuesday and will be back them to make the repair. Tuesday comes and I dont hear from anyone, so I give them a call and they now tell me that nowhere in San Diego County has what they need, so it needs to be ordered. I was told that it would be delivered in a couple of days and be there by thursday / friday. Well, that was week 1 and nothing yet. I give them till the tuesday and did not hear back from them, so i called them and was told that it did not come in and they would check on it. Fast forward to the next week and nothing yet and no call. Finally call them on thursday and we are told that the parts are actually on backorder. I asked them to send me a copy of their license (C-16) that allows them to do work on fire sprinkler systems, but have yet to receive anything. Which leads me to believe that they are not even supposed to be working on them. I have been passed off, ingnored and stolen from. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. read more
