I also ordered a chicken pickle pizza to go as I had never had it before and I love pickles. It did not disappoint, predominant flavor is Buffalo chicken with pickle juice infused in the sauce. A homemade dill pickle slice atop each piece. I would definitely recommend and would order it again. Our waitress was attentive and kept the drinks flowing. I came here for a Kiwanis luncheon and couldn't be any happier with the overall venue, service and quality of the food. They did such a wonderful job here. We were here from Long Island and made a short trip here from our hotel where we were staying The parking lot in the back of the restaurant was ample for the crowd we had here. We sat in a nice size room attached to the restaurant that easily accommodated our party. The team here was very attentive to our needs and made sure that everything moved smoothly. We had a buffet consisting of Chicken Francaise, a rolled beef in gravy and ziti. All items were cooked well, extremely tasty and served at a good temperature. The salad was cool, crisp and fresh! Had a great time here for the Bills game yesterday, lots of great food and drink specials! It's a fun, friendly atmosphere. It seems like a place for regulars but we were quickly welcomed by the owner who recognized us from our previous time in. The food was incredible. It's typical bar food so don't come in looking for anything fancy but know that you will leave happy and full. Their chicken wings were amazing. HUGE and cooked properly with a nice crisp! Beef on weck was one of the best I've had in the area. It is fully cooked (meaning no pink, which makes me sad) but the flavor was delicious. It was so juicy and I love that they offer sliders as well as the regular size sandwich. Also I highly recommend you try the Marv Levy dip if you are a cheese lover like myself. Haven't been to Magruder's in a few years and was planning on going again. However, there's no menu available online unless you want to print one. I don't know why I would need to print a menu especially when I don't even know if it's current. From the looks of the pics available, it looks as though the dining area needs some work and it went from being a quieter, cozy dining area to more of a "sports bar". It's a shame, wewound up going to another restaurant in the area, there's plenty of them. read more

5 stars for outstanding service, food was average. I stopped in here with my family of 8 for a bite to eat for dinner. On Sunday's they have a limited menu and when the waitress told us that we were disappointed and ready to leave but she offered to have us order from the full menu since they had a cook who was still working! This blew my mind that she made the accommodation for us but I was very pleased. We ordered a mix of appetizers and main dishes which was a lot of bar food. It was good but also very average bar food. I think this place is good for a nice cold beer and some snacks while you watch the Bill's game! Recently had a fundraiser here during a bills game! They were very attentive to our needs and constantly checked in. Food was served exactly how we wanted it and at the time we wanted it (which is hard to find sometimes when event planning!) Game was on screen. Audio and video were average. This is the first time I've been here in probably 30 years. There is a group that meets every other Tuesday night to play Euchre in the back room at Magruders. I just grabbed Pizza Logs but they were really good . They had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and the marinara sauce they were served with had a great flavor. I also had a couple glasses of wine. This was my first experience at Magruders, which we were checking out because a friend of ours was playing in their bar area. We came in before his set to get dinner and albeit we were eating a little later than normal, the dining area was pretty empty so we were seated right away which is a bonus for a Friday night. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders right away. I ordered their steak special for dinner which was small medalions of steak (honestly I'm not sure what cut it was or anything like that), resting on mushrooms and onions and served with homemade mashed potatoes. The dinner also came with soup and salad - not bad for 10.99! Two others in our party got fish fries and someone else ordered the chicken fajitas. My steak was great - cooked perfectly and juicy. The mashed potatoes were alright, but they didn't wow me. They could have used some seasoning. I asked for my gravy on the side (something I've learned to do from previous bad gravy experiences) and I'm so glad that I did because if there was anything to really complain about it was the gravy!! I tasted a little before deciding if I wanted it and it was like drinking flour! Gross!! I would have been more pleased with a jar of regular ol' heinz gravy if they didn't know how to make gravy properly. :( I tried the fish and it was pretty good. The beer batter could have been a bit more crispy however, and I did not try the breaded fish that someone else had ordered. The chicken fajitas were decent though the chicken might have been a bit overcooked. Overall, our meal was decent. A few minor details but I can't really complain. The bar area where the live music occurs was divey, but that's a good thing in my opinion most of the time. They had a patio for smokers to utilize with an awning, which was nice since it was raining. This is why I love YELP....My gf and I were trying to decide where to eat....I was in a burger mood but did not know where I wanted to go....I ended up finding this place through my Yelp phone app.....I read the reviews, and searched the menu.....I noticed that they had hand pressed burgers.....So we decided to give it a try..... Well I have to stay I was quite happy with the burger I got here....It wasn't huge....Maybe around 1/3 pound ? But it was delicious...I got the cheddar bbq bacon burger.....The burger itself seemed of higher quality beef, and fresh.....While I did not get any taste of seasoning it was charbroiled and cooked exactly how I asked.....This burger also came with onion strings on it.....Overall a very good burger....I would say that this may now be my go to place for burgers when I am in the depew area...... It also came with what appeared to be hand cut fries...They were decent, maybe a tad undercooked..... My gf got a turkey burger, and she said was so good she gave it a 5 out of 5.... She also got coleslaw which I tried, and I was also very impressed here as well....It was very fresh, and crispy....It had a great taste with tones of horseradish....It was also very creamy..... We went here on a monday night....We could not believe we were the only ones here...It was normal dinner time....the place was clean....And they also have a dining room which is separated from the bar by a wall and large window....this really cuts down on sound from the bar allowing you to have privacy, and a normal conversation.... Severely disappointed tonight!! Took my sister out for a few drinks to this bar. Upon arrival she was accosted by the owner. He groped her, was in her face, and kissed her ear!! Who does that? She repeatly asked him to stop, I asked him to stop. It wasn't until to the amazing bartender said something to the owner that he stopped and left the establishment! I have come here a few times and have witnessed such behavior from said owner. I am appalled by this! I now totally understand why this place is full of males and hardly any females. The staff was terrible. "Confused" about our party. Inappropriate comments made through the lunch in by Diane and the owner. He cleared a plate and said "i knew i should have charged per plate!" As the person was told to help themselves to seconds. Felt rushed and took away the food all within 30 mins. Diane saying it's so hard working for family. It was a terrible experience. I don't think someone could pay me to go back there and deal with the staff. Make sure to look at your bill a few times. Charges that were never once negotiated on the check. No matter how many times I go to Magruders, they always have their stuff together. Not only are the bar tenders friendly and very fast at service, they've remembered my drink after one round. And that was just the beginning. The food is always on point and when I asked for a medium well burger that's exactly what I got. The Chips that they make in house are sooooo good... I'm not sure who's idea it was to put these on the menu, but they get a BRAVO! Ambiance isn't something I would go here for but for a girls (or guys) night out or casual dinner, this place is great. There was nothing really bad about the place but a lot of little things were off. I ordered a draft beer. It was flat and old tasting. So next, I ordered bottled beer. It was only marginally cold. I ordered a Fish Fry. The fish itself was pretty good and I applaud them for serving real hand cut fries, but they were not served hot. The fries in particular were luke warm and the fish was warm enough to eat but not fresh hot like you usually get. The macaroni salad and cole slaw were store bought. Plus instead of a bread basket, the fish fry includes one slice of rye bread - cut in half. And the rye bread was stale. Then I had a coupon for $8 off and they only took $6 off. My wife and I stopped for lunch. We have been to Magruders more than s few times over the years and usually are pleased with the food and service. Today was much different. The service was ok, the server was pleasant but had a table of approximately 15 older ladies she was taking care of, all with separate checks, SMDH !! The wait was exorbitant, but not the servers fault. Now for the food: I ordered a cup of soup and a burger with pub chips. My wife ordered chicken fingers and fries. We both ordered drinks, mine a sweet tea, hers a diet cola. The sweet tea was watered down and awful. The soup was probably the worst I have ever had in my entire life. This was a beef soup with tomatoes in a beef broth. The beef was tough as nails, the broth was tasteless, and the tomatoes were under cooked. Also, the freshness of the beef was questionable. The burger was ok, but the bun was soggy and inedible, I had to discard. The pub chips were the best part of my meal. The fingers were ok, but much too salty. Got there with my 91 year old mother in law on Friday. At 4:45 pm for a fish fry. Was told they ran out of fish! They had cod but did not offer us a small fish fry at the price of the senior fish fry. They did not seem to care that we have been coming there for fish fries for quite sometime. So. I was going to have a party here- but things came up and I cancelled an entire week beforehand. They had the nerve to complain about me to someone who is my peer. NOT MY owner or manager but a business partner and make it sound like I cancelled last minute. Made my business look bad and my peer felt like they were blaming her or they thought she was my manger and she holds parties with them EVERY MONTH. So she WAS happy and excited and they pulled her aside to let her know about my cancellation and expressed how they felt. I woke up the next day to a text from my peer telling me how that made her look and feel. I called immediately. The man who answered confirmed that I cancelled a week before WHICH IS MORE TIME THAN THEY ASK IF YOUR GONNA CANCEL. So. I'm not a child. I resent the bad word of mouth and incorrect way of dealing with this kind of situation. May I add that the one meeting I did attend there - the service was awful. Ladies sitting for a couple hours - no drink refill offer - I had to literally yell out hey- to get the servers attention- I waited a good 45 min for her to appear and she never looked around to see if anyone needed her. It was tunnel vision and you could tell she was avoiding doing her job. I hated giving a tip because after an hour I finally have food and she didn't even bring the sauce I asked for plainly when I ordered. Then never came back until we were about to leave. She was friendly though. At least she tried. So. That was that. And I won't go back. Horrible way to treat a busy business woman who wanted to hold huge parties in the back room. Disappointing at best. And my friends love a good drink. But alas we won't book there. Went here on a Father's Day at four pm we were greeted and seated quickly. We order our drinks appetizers and then diner. Food came out fast, was very good and hot. Waitress was very pleasant and check on us often. We all played quick draw and the bartender put our quick draw right in and was also friendly and wish us luck. Upon entering I was very pleased with the cleanliness and atmosphere of the place. We had a coupon for buy one get one pitchers. There were multiple things wrong with the bill upon it's arrival and the $17 pitchers were not one of them. I think the bartender was new. She got the manager when I inquired as to why I was not given the appropriate deal. The manager made the proper adjustments to the check.
