I came here for a Kiwanis luncheon and couldn't be any happier with the overall venue, service and quality of the food. They did such a wonderful job here. We were here from Long Island and made a short trip here from our hotel where we were staying The parking lot in the back of the restaurant was ample for the crowd we had here. We sat in a nice size room attached to the restaurant that easily accommodated our party. The team here was very attentive to our needs and made sure that everything moved smoothly. We had a buffet consisting of Chicken Francaise, a rolled beef in gravy and ziti. All items were cooked well, extremely tasty and served at a good temperature. The salad was cool, crisp and fresh! This is definitely a place that I would happily return to and look forward to my next trip in the Buffalo area. KUDO's to the team at Magruders Restaurant and Pub.

Had a great time here for the Bills game yesterday, lots of great food and drink specials! It's a fun, friendly atmosphere. It seems like a place for regulars but we were quickly welcomed by the owner who recognized us from our previous time in. The food was incredible. It's typical bar food so don't come in looking for anything fancy but know that you will leave happy and full. Their chicken wings were amazing. HUGE and cooked properly with a nice crisp! Beef on weck was one of the best I've had in the area. It is fully cooked (meaning no pink, which makes me sad) but the flavor was delicious. It was so juicy and I love that they offer sliders as well as the regular size sandwich. Also I highly recommend you try the Marv Levy dip if you are a cheese lover like myself. That dip is GOOOOOOOOOOD! I started eating it with a spoon! The bartender we had last night was amazing. I wish I grabbed her name. I am pregnant but have serious FOMO. She made sure to bring me water shots while everyone enjoyed a round to celebrate the game. I really appreciated this! She was so attentive and we can't wait to come back for the next game!

5 stars for outstanding service, food was average. I stopped in here with my family of 8 for a bite to eat for dinner. On Sunday's they have a limited menu and when the waitress told us that we were disappointed and ready to leave but she offered to have us order from the full menu since they had a cook who was still working! This blew my mind that she made the accommodation for us but I was very pleased. We ordered a mix of appetizers and main dishes which was a lot of bar food. It was good but also very average bar food. I think this place is good for a nice cold beer and some snacks while you watch the Bill's game! Overall 5 stars for fantastic service from the waitress!

Recently had a fundraiser here during a bills game! They were very attentive to our needs and constantly checked in. Food was served exactly how we wanted it and at the time we wanted it (which is hard to find sometimes when event planning!) Game was on screen. Audio and video were average. Extremely nice staff and place.

This was my first experience at Magruders, which we were checking out because a friend of ours was playing in their bar area. We came in before his set to get dinner and albeit we were eating a little later than normal, the dining area was pretty empty so we were seated right away which is a bonus for a Friday night. Our waitress was very friendly and took our drink orders right away. I ordered their steak special for dinner which was small medalions of steak (honestly I'm not sure what cut it was or anything like that), resting on mushrooms and onions and served with homemade mashed potatoes. The dinner also came with soup and salad - not bad for 10.99! Two others in our party got fish fries and someone else ordered the chicken fajitas. My steak was great - cooked perfectly and juicy. The mashed potatoes were alright, but they didn't wow me. They could have used some seasoning. I asked for my gravy on the side (something I've learned to do from previous bad gravy experiences) and I'm so glad that I did because if there was anything to really complain about it was the gravy!! I tasted a little before deciding if I wanted it and it was like drinking flour! Gross!! I would have been more pleased with a jar of regular ol' heinz gravy if they didn't know how to make gravy properly. :( I tried the fish and it was pretty good. The beer batter could have been a bit more crispy however, and I did not try the breaded fish that someone else had ordered. The chicken fajitas were decent though the chicken might have been a bit overcooked. Overall, our meal was decent. A few minor details but I can't really complain. The bar area where the live music occurs was divey, but that's a good thing in my opinion most of the time. They had a patio for smokers to utilize with an awning, which was nice since it was raining. Definitely had a family bar type of feel to it, and I would consider returning here....just no gravy next time. ;)

Marc Levy dip, with stuffed hot peppers, cheese & Italian sausage nice amount of heat here. Goes well with IPA.

First time here. Maybe put on the menu when your meal is going to contain jalapeno peppers. Couldn't eat my veggie quesadilla.

We went for Father's Day (sorry review is late)…read more It was pretty empty but given the holiday and it being a Sunday- to be expected. Our waitress was really nice and answered all of our questions. We sat outside because the nice weather in Buffalo is pretty short lived year round. The stools were not that comfortable but we had a lot of table room. We split an appetizer of onion petals (think like Outback blooming onion, but less battered, and more genuine). I had a Philly hoagie, my dad had the chicken finger hoagie (he thinks it really was more of a sub) and my sister had the white pizza. The food was delicious by all of our accounts. My only tiny complaint is the tray liner was ripping when I cut my hoagie because it was too big to eat with my hands, that I ended up eating some of the paper, comes with the experience right?! Good food and good company. :) My apologies for not taking more food photos, we dove right in, everything was delicious.

My very first visit to Green Buffalo Pub, and unfortunately, it will also be my last…read more I live approximately two minutes away from Green Buffalo Pub, and this was actually my very first time going there. My neighbor who lives across the street had told me what an amazing bar it was and specifically raved about how good the wings were. She also met her husband there and told me since I was single, I should go check it out!! I decided to take her recommendation and finally give it a try. I was genuinely excited to try the Loganberry wings. I even recorded a video during my walk there. I was recording to make what I thought would be a great review. During my 2 minute walk to the bar I was talking about how excited I was to try the wings. I walked in expecting to have a good experience and hopefully find a new local place that I would enjoy coming back to. Everything went downhill the second I walked through the door. I was accompanied by my service dog, who was wearing her service vest and is licensed in Lancaster, NY. She was sitting quietly and safely in her stroller. She was completely under control and well behaved. She does and did not bark, bother anyone, damage anything, or cause any disruption. There is a specific reason she was in her stroller. She is trained to assist me. She provides calming assistance by laying on me and licking my hand or face to help ground and calm me. Having her positioned higher in her stroller allows her to perform these tasks more effectively when I need her assistance. She was right beside me, in a controlled environment, and was not causing a problem. The employee I spoke with, Jamie, who I have since learned is the new owner of Green Buffalo Pub, repeatedly told me, "She's a pet. She's a pet," while laughing after I explained that my dog was a service dog. I explained again that she was a service dog multiple times, yet Jamie continued to dismiss what I was telling her and laughed at me. She then demanded that I provide paperwork proving that my dog was a service dog. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, businesses cannot demand service animal certification, registration, licensing papers, or other documentation as a condition of entry. When it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal, staff are generally limited to two questions regarding whether the dog is required because of a disability and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. My dog was not barking, aggressive, disruptive, damaging property, or having an accident. She was calm, controlled, and doing exactly what I needed her to do. And I have video documenting what happened. I have the video from my walk to the establishment, where I am genuinely excited and talking about trying their wings, as well as video from the interaction after I began recording when I was being denied access with my service dog. The contrast between those two videos speaks for itself. What should have been a quick trip to try some wings based on a neighbor's recommendation ended with me crying and bawling my eyes out the entire way home. I live two minutes away. I came there as a first time customer with every intention of making a great review of the food and potentially becoming a regular customer. Instead, I was laughed at, humiliated, and made to feel like I was doing something wrong simply because I needed my service dog with me. This was not about getting special treatment. It was about being treated with basic dignity, respect, and equal access. I am filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies and preserving the video and documentation I have regarding this incident. I will never spend a dollar at Green Buffalo Pub, and I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. Jamie, as the new owner, I sincerely hope you take this seriously and educate yourself and your staff about the rights of people with disabilities and service animals. No one should have to walk into a neighborhood business excited to try the food and leave in tears because they were laughed at and denied access with their service dog. I walked in excited to try your Loganberry wings. I walked out without ever getting the chance to order them, and I walked home crying. That is an experience I will never forget! I go out of my way to write good reviews all the time for people to help them get raises and to help their business get more customers and this was just honestly a huge disappointment. (If you want to support a great restaurant/bar in Lancaster, go to SKOOB'S, great service and excellent food, and my service dog is welcome.)

We were greeted right away when we walked in, which was a great start. However, after being seated on the patio, we waited about 20 minutes before a server came over. Drinks also took quite a while to arrive. I ordered a brown sugar bourbon cocktail, but it was disappointing--basically just tasted like straight bourbon with little to no flavor. For food, I tried the Reuben poutine appetizer ($20). Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the price. The cheese seemed very processed--hard to even describe, and definitely not what I expected. The fried Reuben itself was just okay, but overall it felt overpriced for what it was. In the end, I wouldn't necessarily discourage someone from trying it, but it's not somewhere I'd personally return to. The experience just didn't match the cost or leave much of a positive impression.
