Came to Transit Music Lounge with my son and his family. We each had something different. Burgers,wings,chicken fingers, sandwiches. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. Tater tots are so hot and crispy but fluffy inside . Fries were done perfectly. Drinks are a nice size and reasonably prices. Everyone was totally satisfied and stuffed. We were at the Transit lounge a few weeks ago late at night mostly for drinks but did get wings and Tater tots and I gave it 4 stars. This time 6 of us we went for dinners WOW and all agreed it was awesome!! They have a very good and unusual items like sandwiches, raps burgers, etc. even some very ,very different wing options!! It was very hard to decide because everything sounded awesome!!! Everything was cooked perfectly, very flavorful, Large portions etc. we were all pleasantly surprised !! The place is a bit of a dive , the indoor outdoor rug is in sad shape but the place was clean! We went on a Monday because most places are closed on Mondays and they were open. We lucked out ,!!! There was no table service, you had to go to the bar to order your food and drinks, maybe that's just because it was a Monday and things are slow. But none of it mattered. Seeing how they are on the list for best wings in Buffalo we thought we would give them a try. We ordered the Carolina gold and the voodoo wings. Although they were tasty, there wasn't a lot of spices on them. Also ordered a steak sandwich which was lacking in steak, but flavor was good. I would definitely give them another shot. Our last few consecutive reviews have been at Buffalo city establishments and we decided it was time for these suburbanite slobs to head back to the suburbs. With that, we aimed for Depew and paid a visit to a lesser-known wing establishment -- Transit Music Lounge. Location : 3.5 / 5 Unfortunately we there was no live music on this night which might have helped make it more memorable. Aside from some dim lighting and wobbly stools, not at all unusual for a Buffalo bar, everything seemed alright. Overall, relatively unremarkable. Presentation: 2 / 5 Very so-so, with little care and attention paid to the way these wings were presented -- not even a stick of celery. A lack of celery may seem like a weird thing to harp on, but when you're trying to rate the taste of 4 or 5 different flavors, as we always do, a celery palate cleanse matters. Meat: 4 / 5 Meat was average with some good sizing but they earned a demerit because there was some grizzle... fo' shizzle. Cook: 7 / 10 On the plus side, these came out HOT, which is not as common as one would expect. But on the negative, some wings seemed overcooked to the point of being dry. As an aside, I'm running out of synonyms in this review for "just okay". Medium standard wing: 9.5 / 15 Surprisingly bland for a chicken wing. These were undersauces and seemed to lack flavor. There were a few burnt pieces and yet despite that and the undersauciness, they were strangely lacking crispiness. Specialty Wing: 6.5 / 10 I believe the French say "comme ci, comme ca"? Nashville wings were quite tasty but WAY too salty. Carolina gold was underwhelming and lacking flavor. Whiskey BBQ was the bottom of the barrel -- metaphorically and also perhaps literally. We have been to this bar in the past but have never eaten here. We are redoing our kitchen so we decided to order from Uber Eats and there aren't many options in our area. I noticed the Transit Music Lounge listed and decided to give them a try. We ordered a PB&J burger with tots and an order of 20 wings that we split into 2 flavors (white cheddar cayenne and spicy honey garlic). The burger was very good with a soft roll, amazing flavors, and perfectly cooked medium rare. It was juicy, tasty, and delicious. The tater tots were also cooked long enough to be perfectly crispy. The wings were good. The honey ones had a great flavor and were good-sized wings. The breaded, white cheddar cayenne wings were huge and crispy. As certified chicken finger royalty in the WNY area, I'm always on the lookout for different spots to try some tasty tenders. Transit Music Lounge fell on my radar as my brother told me their chicken fingers are some of the best in the area. I've gotta say, he was correct! My family and I ordered takeout here on a Saturday night. They have a largely bar food-based menu -- lots of burgers, appetizers, and, of course, wings and fingers. I opted for a single order of fingers tossed in their medium sauce. Chicken finger dinners come standard with fries, which is always a plus, and theirs reminded me of an upgraded fast food fry. I loved them. The chicken fingers were insanely crisp and flavorful, I didn't find the medium sauce too spicy. It was honestly a near-perfect chicken finger experience. The prices aren't too bad here -- but our food was ready 20 minutes later than they said it would be. Not the worst since you can grab a drink while you wait. Transit Music Lounge offers a wide lineup of sauces that I'd love to try in the future. And I will DEFINITELY be back for some of that crisp chicken finger goodness. read more

Our first time at The Transit but won't be our last. We had the fish fry with German potato salad and it was excellant. The beer battered fish was flaky and tender and the German potato salad was one of the best we've had. Next time we'll have the chicken fingers which also are supposed to be the best. read more

It took me a while to really appreciate the Transit, but I've got to say this is probably one of my favorite bar-music venue spots. I'd describe it as something a little bit better than a dive bar. It's got that divey feel, but the space is always pretty clean. The crowds usually vary depending on the bands that play there, and I've seen all sorts of people between their 30's and 50's coming in to drink and enjoy the variety of bands and musicians they have play here. The decor is music-themed, most of it being Tragically Hip themed. Fortunately, they get bands that don't just play that Tragically Hip sound. I've been here for rock bands, pop-punk bands, 80's cover bands, 90's cover bands, acoustic duo shows, even an open-mic style reception for a local musician who recently tied the knot! I don't know who handles the booking here, but I give kudos to whoever does it. They always bring in a wide variety of local talent, and whatever night you decide to drop in (as long as it's a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday), you're guaranteed to get a good show! I can't attest to the drinks here, but I've always noticed that bar service is relatively smooth. The bar stretches across most of the inside, so it's wide enough to accommodate a ton of people and make it a little easier to get a drink, even when its busy. They also serve food here! I haven't had a chance to explore much of their menu, but I've heard good things about their burgers. And, their Loaded Tater Tots are amazing. I really want to try to make it here for a bite to eat sometime! All in all it's a really great music venue, fun hangout, and a great place to get some great bar food. The trifecta! went there to meet a couple buddies for the bills game. I think the bartenders name was Stacy or Tracy larger plus size girl. She had people leaving turn the bills game.! I asked for a drink. She asked if I wanted one shot or two and I guess because I said one shot, she got offended so I was giving drinks with half shots. her personality was terrible and if you wanna run customers away, keep her working I was there many times before and never had this problem. I guess that's why the bar was half full with the bills game going on. Bartender tried to use my hearing friend to interpret for me about my payments instead of make any efforts to communicate with me, just because it is "faster" to process and that is unacceptable. I feel so insulted and he were oppressing me. Instead of apologizing, he got mad when I called him out and he just keep on speaking as he knew that I am deaf. We stopped in on a Wednesday night, we just wanted a simple pub dinner. There is no waitress or hostess, this is pretty much a bar, so we just sat at the bar and went from there. The bartender was very friendly, efficient and she was able to tell us about the menu. We were impressed. I ordered the Transit Burger with tater tots and my wife ordered the chicken wings, since it was 40 cent wing day. My burger was juicy and flavorful. The Transit Burger has bacon right in the middle of the burger and a special sauce. It was not a huge burger like you would get at Grovers, but the flavor was very nice. But the big surprise of the evening was the wings that my wife ordered. They were just typical hot wings, but there was some excellence of execution going on with them. They give you the option of "regular" or "crispy" and my wife went with regular. These wings were huge, saucy and cooked perfectly. Maybe not quite Bar Bill or Nine-Eleven quality, but damn close. On Thursdays, they have 1/2 off of all burgers, and I will tell you that this is a great value for the quality of the food. I intend to return frequently. read more

Stopped in here for some drinks around 11pm last Tuesday and to catch the end of the Met Game. The four of us were hands down the only people of age in the entire place. Very young crowd. They have pool tables, dart boards, high top bar tables and a stage for live music. The bartender was nice and friendly enough. I was introduced to "huggie bombs" here, consisting of slamming a huggie drink mixed with vodka. Very interesting concoction. I didn't know what a huggie was and was told I missed out on that part of my childhood. I was a 35 cent milk purchaser in the cafeteria back in my day, but nevertheless, they have these huggie bombs and they look fun. They had a couple televisions and the best part about this place was the music. They were playing old school, 2000 hip/hop rap that was perfect in the moment. Rarely do I find a bar that plays this kind of music. It was a low-key, casual atmosphere, good spot to meet up with friends to catch up with some drinks. They have a great tap selection with a couple seasonal options that I haven't seen anywhere else. Would definitely come back here if I was in the area. read more

I love the transit. I have been here many times but the last time I was here the friday night bartender with the orange beard made fun of me because I leaned I'm to ask him for water. I am partially deaf and I didn't want to get too intoxicated as I had business to attend to attend to the next day, so because there was live music I leaned in a bit. I didn't cross the bar or touch him and instead if just grabbing me water, he made fun of me then continued to make fun of me to the next 5 or so customers. It was rude and I did not appreciate it. I do not think I will be here on a Friday night again anytime soon. read more
