Panang curry, steamed rice, rice cracker appetizer

Hot food, quick service, our waitress was incredibly kind and shared in with us specifics of the menu, pointing out traditional thai meals and her favorites. My panang curry was very flavorful but the veggies mixed in were pretty bland. My cousin got the chicken pad thai which was great! Would like to try something else on the menu.

Hungry, but not so desperate as to settle for anything--certainly you know what that feels like. My wife and I really needed a nourishing hot meal and one spot came to mind in a section of Chattanooga that I wasn't close to at the time. It meant a little extra drive when traffic might be an issue. We went anyway. We had to. We really needed a good meal. We were welcomed warmly when we arrived. We settled in to a lightly decorated, but colorful space. The meals arrived fairly soon after our order was placed. It was accurate with our particular dietary needs fully addressed. The best part was when the co-owner kept checking in with us for follow-up. She was wonderful to chat with and learn more about. We look forward to our next visit!

    Yellow curry

Food was great and service too. I had basil stir fry chicken and my husband had the yellow curry. Heads up, the curries are intended for two people ($20). We didn't realize that and ended up with a ton of food. I ordered a coconut bubble tea which they didn't have on the menu, but she made one up and it was great. We came in for a late lunch on Monday so we got to chat with our waitress quite a bit. She's from northeast Thailand and very friendly. The place was very clean despite being a hole in the wall in a neighborhood I wasn't sure about (someone stuck their gum to our rental car while we were eating).

Stop what you're doing and head to Mah Kin! My husband and I thought we'd try this for a lunch date and we are so glad we did. The restaurant truly embraces the kindness and friendliness of Thailand, so welcoming. Our server made a recommendation for the handmade dumplings and my husband joked that it could've been his whole meal (he LOVED them). We also got the basil rolls and the peanut sauce rivals Thai Esan's (previously our favorite Thai restaurant in Chattanooga). My husband got the Pad Thai and I had the Drunken Noodles both at medium and we were very happy with the spice levels. I had a nice little nose sweat going on (like I like) and my husband said his was a pleasant balance. The owner came to check in on us and she was delightful--she has a lot to be proud of with this restaurant. Thank you for becoming our new favorite Thai place in the area! We will definitely be back. Also, for those of you who are vegan, they do offer vegan options!

Lacking flavor, taste, extremely bland w zero heat despite asking for Thai hot ! worst Thai I've ever had...

The service was good. We were greeted upon entering the front door. GOD AWFUL food!!!! Sorry but this was the worst Thai I've ever had.... I should have known to turn around after seeing no customers in the restaurant! we sat at a table and within a few minutes I saw 4 small red ants on our table. we ordered 2 chicken pad thai. 1 mild and 1 Thai hot For me. I like heat!! My dish lacked flavor, taste, was extremely bland not spicy whatsoever! It was very thick, like paste!! If you think this is good Thai then you've never had good Thai!!!! I will not recommend this place!!!

Visited Mah Kin today for the 1st time. Immediately greeted with a smile by both ladies. We ordered the Chor Thong (Thai dumplings), Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai. My wife got the noodles mild, they had just a touch of heat. I got the Pad Thai hot and it was just enough to give me that perspiration below my eyes just like I like. All three dishes were exceptional. The dumplings were the star for sure. Our server was very attentive and made sure all of our questions were answered. We will definitely be returning soon.

Excellent new Thai restaurant. Only a couple of employees. Fresh, made to order food with top quality ingredients. Service can be a little slow, but worth th wait. I had the masamam curry chicken and a papaya salad. Both were exceptional. They have a quote on the wall about being invited into a Thai home and it lives up to that promise.

Really friendly staff and delicious food!! Very affordable and the portion sizes are very generous!! The inside of the restaurant is decorated nicely and it felt very relaxing. I absolutely love supporting local businesses over chain restaurants! We will definitely be coming back!

Pad keep mow chicken and pad thai beef

That was the driest, worst tasting thai food I've ever had. Maybe they are having an off day but some the noodles were still clumped together. There was barely any sauce and the meat was so dry and hard to eat. Ughhh. Never again. So not worth the money. Order: pad thai beef and pad kee mow chicken

I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this place a try. The restaurant just recently opened it's doors. The food had all the right flavors I have come to enjoy in Thai cuisine. The staff was very friendly and pleasant! I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying some new.

The beets were fresh and the goat cheese carried so much flavor. For the desserts, we got the carrot cake with pecans and chocolate cheesecake. Both were soooo good. I would get both of them again, especially the carrot cake which was so warm and moist. And the candied pecans were such a nice complement to the cake - not too sweet at all. The wife,…read moreAnna, stated "if you want a good cup of coffee and an excellent pastry, this is your morning stop!" Even a little after 10am on a Saturday, you can tell this place is a very popular hangout. I waited in line for about 10 minutes, but the line moves fast. I concur with other reviewers that the staff is so friendly, helpful and energetic. I ordered a Cafe Au Lait with a shot of caramel syrup. Once I looked at the pastry items, I knew the Blueberry Lavender scone had my name all over it! I sat outside on a sidewalk bistro table and enjoyed both items immensely on a gorgeous Chattanooga morning. This place also has inside seating as well as a nice patio setup. So happy I got to experience this place! (P.S. The line is still out the door when I left!) :)

We didn't know and went straight to outdoor seating, which worked out because we got a table and about a minute later we figured out the ordering process. I ordered the chicken salad croissant for my wife, then the California club for myself and then I had to order quiche Lorraine for the table. I had filtered tap water for my drink and my wife had a can of Diet Coke with a slice of lemon and ice in a cup, provided. Service was pretty quick, between our order placement and table delivery it was 7 minutes. The quiche was custardy inside with a delicious hint of caramelized shallots to go with the bacon and cheese/egg filling. The bacon did not overwhelm. The crust was perfectly baked and a nice flakey crust. The accompanying arugula and onion salad dresses with oil and vinegar and seasonings was an excellent pairing of freshness with the richer quiche. This is a big hit, as expected when advertised on the menu as "available until sold out." The California Club was on 6 grain toasted bread with an avocado spread and aioli, bacon, turkey, tomato and lettuce. I really liked the balance of each component in this sandwich, such that nothing dominated the flavors and each distinctive was individually identifiable in the contribution to the whole sandwich. The portion was just right. The chicken salad was also good, but was the bronze medal winner compared to the other two. The croissant was flaky, but not too much. The chicken salad had just a hint of lemon and was not overwhelmed with aioli, just the right balance. This was a fantastic meal. We liked this so much, we chose to buy two loaves of bread to go, a Chattanooga Sourdough and a garlic Parmesan and also a 5 lb bag of in house ground bread flour. I need one of these in Greenville, SC, my hometown. Last thing to note, you bus your own table and there is a dish basin nearby the outside dining area in which to place your dishes. This was an excellent lunch spot. The staff were also friendly and patiently helpful. This is a must visit spot when visiting or living in Chattanooga!

Since it was our first visit and everything on the menu spoke to us, she helped steer us in the right direction. I ended up ordering the pistachio croissant, and honestly... I'd go back for that alone. It was warm, huge by croissant standards, and absolutely heavenly. I even grabbed another one to take home because Future Me deserved a little happiness too. We also tried the raspberry lemon danish, which was a delicious combo, but the pistachio croissant stole the show without breaking a sweat. We started with the poutine, and while it wasn't the traditional version I've had before, it was incredible. Instead of cheese curds blocks, it came with pulled pork and melted cheese, and somehow it just worked. Comfort food with a little Southern flair. For breakfast, we had the ham and cheese omelet with breakfast potatoes. It was exactly what you want it to be--classic, satisfying, and impossible to regret if that's your usual order. I also tried the Liquid Gold juice. Their juice selection is impressive, but I may have accidentally found my forever order on the first try. It was so refreshing, with just a hint of ginger. For a hot drink, I highly recommend the London fog. I'm not usually a tea fan but if you don't want coffee, this is an excellent option. Before we left, we picked up some of their salted caramels to go, and they make the perfect little gift... assuming you have enough self-control not to eat them all in the car. The vibe here is upscale southern diner. One of the signs on the wall said, "All are welcome, but you need to act right," and honestly, that's the kind of life advice we could all use. I also really appreciated that parking was free. In Chattanooga these days it's hard finding a place where you don't have to scan a QR code, download an app, and pay to park just to eat. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. Milk & Honey is absolutely worth a visit...and if you're debating the pistachio croissant, stop debating and just order it. Your only regret will be not getting a second one.
