GET THE HALLOUMISALAT! Great and inexpensive. The word salad (look at the menu) may be little bit confusing, because it doesn't look like a salad at all. It's actually round shape Khobes (fladbrød), topped with hummus, sesame, fried halloumi (goat-sheeps milk semi hard cheese), avocado, pomegranate and mint. Everything is nicely styled on the plate, cut in 8 pieces and it's enough to fill up your stomach. I was lucky I had hungry international company with me, so we ordered some falafel, hummus, Sawda dajaj (chicken liver), Baba ganoush (eggplant tahini dip) and ... again one more HALLOUMISALAT ;) Falafel - 5 pc in one portion, tasted great! Well balanced and cooked just right. Hummus - good hummus with garlic and olive oil Baba ganoush - excellent! Sawda dadaj - perhaps it was made traditionally, but for me, the onion was too raw, there was too much lemon and not enough garlic. But I'm a closet master for Sawda dadaj, so I'm maybe too strict in my way. To drink, we ordered organic apple juice (I recommend it for sure) and traditional mint-ginger tea. Don't forget they put some sugar into the tea right away, so if you would like to have tea without sugar you have to mention it. (I recommend to order everything as is offered to try their way) Ginger was actually only one large piece in the bottom. I would cut it in few smaller pieces so ginger can better extract. There is also jug with tap mint (old) water. In this review I rate only the Food and Beverage. I skip rating service and interior, because I think F&B quality is very high (even it takes time - look at the plate, you will understand why), but service is not. We got drinks after a long time and we got the food before the cutlery. No napkins were offered. Interior is nice, but it could be more tidy (counter) and some decorations are a bit awkward/silly. But once again we went there because of food and the food was stunning!!! Greetings to the kitchen. I will be back for Halloumisalat! Thank you for reading it and .... Yes, life is tasty! Go for it!

What you can love about Nørrebro is that there is such great variety of cultures, offering the perfect setting for a Lebanese cafe like Mahalle. It is a cute cafe close to Sankt Hans Torv which serves good food in mezze style. An alternative lunch/brunch place where instead of the typical cafe food you get hummus, olives, pita bread, spices etc. We were there for lunch time after 12:30 and we were not the only ones. Seemed like people have discovered this place for lunch. I had the mezze plate that included different kind of pastes and pita bread. This is a cold meal, nothing is warmed up apart from the haloumi cheese. It was really good and the portion was almost too large. The service was very friendly and the girl explained what we wanted to know about the menu. The food came out quite fast and we all enjoyed what we had ordered. We also had their home tea, which I found a bit too strong as a taste. The prices were on the cheap side considering average Danish prices, especially if one would share and order few mezze plates. The interior is really cute and I was surprised I didn't know about mahalle thinking that I live not too far from it. I am glad I came across Mahalle and I recommend it for an alternative brunch or lunch!

I absolutely loved this place! Very fresh and satisfying. I think the falafel and muhammara were some of the best I've ever had. The hummus and baba ganoush weren't bad, but they didn't stand out as much as the other two; the baba ganoush had less of that smokey eggplant flavor I like, and the hummus didn't have and red pepper paste in it. The baba ganoush did have pomegranate seeds in it, so that was a nice touch. I didn't try any of their drinks. I will definitely be visiting this place again, and I look forward to when I will do so!

Shukran Laziza. We arrived in Malmo on a Sunday afternoon. After checking into our hotel we…read morerealized we were quite hungry, but unfortunately a lot of food establishments we looked up were showing up closed until we saw Laziza was near our hotel and showing up as open. I personally am not a fan of buffets but my husband is Lebanese-Armenian & doesn't mind buffets & always wants Lebanese food when it's an option. I was a little apprehensive when we walked in because the hostess & waitresses were Swedish, but then I heard Arabic music & noticed the staff coming in/out of the kitchen to stock the food was speaking Arabic so I knew the food would be ok. My favorite items were the wrapped grape leaves & mini desserts. My grandmother & aunts used to make a lot of the same desserts so the flavors were very nostalgic & comforting. I can also appreciate how they had managed to make tiny delicate bite sized portions of each. I was impressed by that because these desserts are so intricate & difficult to make so making them into tinier pieces can't be easy. We had a lovely meal at Laziza and enjoyed our visit.

I often dine at Laziza Baltzarsgatan and Dockan because they have great food. Today (20th May 2022)…read moreat Dockan, I brought 2 guests with me from abroad and we came in at 11:08 Table 25. One of the guests was finishing food at 12:10 when we were approached by the waitress telling that the restaurant has 1 hr dine-in policy. Then the same waitress came back after 2 minutes telling me that "I have guests waiting outside." I was never aware of this policy and if this is a new one, no one told us at the cashier (By the way, the lady at the cashier was more accommodating). I was embarrassed that we were the only table and customers treated that way. This is frustrating that the waitress at Dockan branch was mainly targetting us and I was embarassed by this attitude with other customers looking at us. Also, we found that seats outside were available. I hope that the restaurant can look into this and train the staff to communicate properly with guests. Your food is no doubt highly recommended and other staff were warm and polite. However, this waitress telling us customers (who were obviously chewing last spoonful of food and the other having coffee) to leave the place twice in a span of 2 minutes was very rude. We left the place around 12:15.
