They had usually kept the sound levels here reasonable, but one show I attended was louder than usual. Afterwards, I have had ringing in my ears for the past TWELVE WEEKS. While I didn't think much of it during the show, I obviously would not have gone had I known it was going to cause this much damage. The venue should have posted a warning about the sound being above safe levels, and clearly advised patrons to use hearing protection and made that easily available. I learned too late that a sound level meter would have clearly shown that the sound levels were loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage. I'm normally the last person to complain about sound being too loud, but it's simply inexcusable that any show in a public venue would cause hearing damage! I have sent printed letters about this to the venue, its parent company and the management of the band. I have not received any response at all, not even an apology. I live very close to this venue and had attended many shows, but I no longer can after this. I greatly value my hearing and am now spending much time and money in efforts to minimize the damage this one show caused me. I was very happy to have this place open so close to me, but now I can't wait to move.

There are a few parking lots within a short walk, a street parking in the neighborhood. Pre-show we lined up for entry. There is a bar on the 2nd floor. The show room is beautiful with the 1st floor that can have seating, or a stand up audience. The 2nd floor has 3 tiered seating. There is not a bad seat in the house for watching the show. The sound system is very good. My wife and I look forward to returning for future shows.

When you first walk in there's lots of local vendors in the Sacramento area promoting their goods and services. After that you walk through the corridor and see lots of local artist work and exhibits. There are days they're doing live demonstrations as well as live music and they had a cool raffle.There also was lots of food given away like a charcuterie cup, cheesecake and a lot of mixologist non-alcoholic of course. Overall it was a fun event and it's really cool to see what the inside looks like a great opportunity for our youth

Mama Rose saw my cultural interests, and suggested I walk down the street to The Brickhouse. Beautiful building with an artistic courtyard. We read the window, and saw there was an interesting exhibit showing--opening that evening. We returned to conscious art and poignant discussion. A great eve--with hospitality. Talking to the owner, she shared other prolific thoughts and connected us to more cultural opportunities.

The continental breakfast isn't out unitl 8, so I have no idea what the racket was all about. My allergies are bad here this time of year, but I can usually manage. I woke up with itchy eyes because the windows don't seal. They are still the original single pane. One of them was broken and a piece of plexiglass was installed to cover the opening. I chose this location because of proximity to the events I was attending, but I don't think I will stay again.

For many years, the house was used by CSUS as an office building, so it's no wonder that once it was restored, the folks living nearby were troubled by the noise and "chaos" that surrounds weddings and large scale events. If you're looking for a notably "pricey" locale for a quiet, intimate affair, this may be the place you're looking for. If you want a big party with lots of dancing and loud music, I'd recommend other venues in town that don't lie in the midst of a family-oriented neighborhood.
