To be clear, Mankhe Autobody no longer exists. It is now Kaizen Collision Centwr, but that new name would not come up in my search. Sadly, I was validated on my concerns of paying for something sight unseen. I will say here that the actual repair work looks very nice, but there were a few small problems that were very disconcerting. One, my dashboard tire pressure light was on, which due to weather is not that rare, but when I went to air up my tires, it was revealed that the four different tire pressures were: 61, 19, 47, and 38. Seriously? How in earth could that have organically happened? What did they do to my tires? Secondly, my dashboard headlight warning light was on. So I looked around my car and my driver side back light was out. I opened my trunk and saw the inside panel to the back light housing off. What on earth happened there? The damage to my car was on the driver side. What were they doing there? Three, the trunk is filthy, and it needs to be vacuumed. Fourthly, the side view mirror that creates a three week plus extension is a crappy, fun house type of mirror, with a very odd reflection. It is no where near the quality of the factory version, and I was told that it was coming from Hyundai shop in Texas. To be clear, the mirror reflects, and I can see traffic behind/beside me, but it's a very cheap knock off, and that's super frustrating. In the end, the bodywork was great, but the 3 week + extension, the cheap mirror, my weirdly inflated tires, and my oddly broken back light, is all very disturbing. Also, I reached out to Rusty from the Aurora Kaizen with all of these details, and I have not heard anything. That's so unprofessional and shameful. My next step is to contact my insurance company and advise them to take Kaizen off of their preferred auto body shop list. This company used to be Mankhe, which I had the unfortunate need to use a couple of times over the last decade, and never had any issue like this. Kaizen is horrible, and I will never use them again. Mahnke Auto Body recently did some work on my truck. I brought my Tundra in for a rear-end accident and after speaking with them I decided to have some more work done to repair bad scrapes on a door. They did an amazing job. I was very happy that they had such high standards and wanted to make sure the end result on paint and polish was perfect, and I mean perfect, it looked like new. My initial experience was very positive. Everyone was friendly and professional. The repair was done quickly and looks great. I would have easily given 5 stars. My problem is with a followup. After the repair my windshield wiper fluid stopped working. It worked fine before, so I took it back to them thinking maybe it just wasn't hooked up right during the repair. No big deal. Unfortunately they told me the pump was broken and needed to be replaced. It seems like a strong coincidence, but I probably would have been fine with them doing the repair. However, when I told the mechanic that it worked before and doesn't now, he said 'we have no way of knowing that'. The way he has of knowing that is because I just told him. He could have handled it differently. This isn't the most egregious treatment of a customer and I don't feel this is the worst shop ever, but I'm now looking for a mechanic that doesn't insinuate that their customers are liars. read more

Won't provide any quote range to remove a car door and install a new one provided. Not repair - just exchange a car door. I'm expected to drive the car and the new perfect door which just needs to be attached - just to get a quote or even a range. How much more likely are they to quote higher once someone has gone through the effort to drive there for a quote and then again for an appointment? Who I spoke to specifically asked (first): 1) If I'm paying out of pocket or insurance? 2) this is less than an hour appointment? 3) does the new door needed any work? All questions indicate this project isn't big enough to schedule if they can't overcharge my insurance. I am glad they are doing so well but I would rather they just say they don't take on this kind of work rather than offer to waste my time. read more

DO NOT USE THESE WANNABES I used this shop because it was a preferred shop with my insurance company. Called to confirm completion two weeks ago. QC found paint problems. Another week for them to paint again. Called to verify it was ready the next Thursday. Will not align needs new parts. Will call on following Monday. No Call, followed up on Tuesday. I had a great experience with Kaizen Collision Center. I had some small blemishes in the paint of my new vehicle and called Kaizen to see if they could help. I was able to set an appointment the following week and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They were able to take care of the blemishes on the spot by polishing and buffing them out - free of charge no less! I am extremely grateful for their service and how well they took care of me. I just can't recommend Mahnke enough. I got a car that was professionally delivered to me significantly damaged in November. With the current major inventory difficulty I had to get the car fixed. Mahnke's team were so warm and helpful and genuinely concerned about my situation. With the challenge of insurance (delivery driver's insurance then to my insurance) my car was at Mahnke for 3 months. They never complained about babysitting my car and provided me with regular updates. Once insurance was clearing they did the work they could as the insurance approved to ensure I'd get my car back as soon as possible. I got my car back last week and couldn't be happier. You would never know there was any damage to the vehicle. With stellar communication, service, and craftsmanship means if I ever need body work again I will go here again, no second thoughts. read more

I really don't know how this place only has 3 stars. I had an amazing experience! I was rear-ended in my car and had to make a claim through the other cars insurance. As soon as the claim was submitted, Mahnke Auto Body called me and set up an appointment within a week. They allowed me drop my car off 5 days before it was ready to be worked on because I was going out of town for 2 weeks. The receptionist is incredibly nice and accommodating and asks me if I wanted text alerts (highly recommend) and I confirmed. They text me throughout the whole process with updates such as "we have updated your estimated completion date from pending to x date." The communication has been 100%. In addition, they are following all COVID-19 rules (masks, pen sanitation, etc.) I highly recommend Mahnke Auto Body Golden! read more

I'm about to leave a terrible review for Mahnke Auto in Golden, CO. First off, Fix Auto Golden and Mahnke Auto Golden are one and the same. This review applies to however you may call it. So after getting into an accident in Denver, my wife and I were referred here by our dealership as "the place that does all of their body work". Why? Ok, I'll tell you... These guys DON'T communicate! You call asking about your car and the receptionist who obviously hates her life tells you that she'll have someone call you right back in a very indifferent tone. Not only did no one ever call right back, they never called at all! I would wait hours and then decide to call again. I usually had to complain to actually get transferred to someone that could give me an update. Secondly, we got our car back just in time to start our thousand mile move. Half-way there, in the middle of absolutely nowhere, the car dies. Like completely. Everything shut down and the windows wouldn't even roll up (of course it started pouring rain as soon as the car died...) We had to have the car towed 20 miles back to the closest town where we were informed they would have to tow the car another 100 miles to the nearest town that could service Toyota (St. George, UT - in the middle of August :) We dropped the car off at the Toyota dealership in St. George where they started taking a look. After spending the night in a little hotel, they informed us that whoever had worked on the car had forgotten to replace a fluid valve and that's why the whole car shut down. FORGOT! Apparently it's a part that never wears out so we were told it would be another day for the ordered part to arrive. All in all, we spent 3 nights in St. George thanks to Mahnke Auto forgetting to put a damn part back on the car. We were told by a customer service rep while we were stranded that Mahnke would of course take care of all our costs during this little stay. Just hold on to the receipts. Once we made it to California and got settled in (about a week after the whole incident), I scanned all the receipts and sent them off to Mahnke and was told a check would be cut. We waited 2 weeks and nothing came. I called, and of course was told someone would call right back, but never did. I called again, and was apologized to and told that the receipts had been handed off the day after I sent them and to just hold out another 2 days and if nothing shows up, call back. Nothing showed up, I called back. I was pretty pissed at this point. The guy calls back and tells me he just talked to Mahnke himself, and watched the check get written and put in an envelope and it would arrive in a few days. When the check finally arrives, it's for HALF the amount of the receipts. There's a typed letter with it from Mahnke explaining that they're not going to reimburse the whole amount because our insurance should have covered the towing (AAA only covers 100 miles. The difference in miles cost us another $100) and they're also not paying for our late checkout. As if we asked for a late checkout so we could fry in the 120 weather for a few more hours. We checked out the INSTANT we got the call that our car was done. Whatever, I didn't argue. I was actually completely surprised to have gotten any sort of reimbursement at all from these guys. What should have been a 2 days drive turned into 5 days of hell. Mostly thanks to, yep, you guessed it, Mahnke Auto in Golden, CO. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. In fact, I'm going to avoid all Fix Auto Shops whatever it takes. read more

I called for an estimate on a car damaged in an accident. They were very curt and rude stating they were not accepting any tow ins. it felt like I was out of line to even call them for an estimate. i would not recommend contacting them. It made a stressful situation even more stressful. read more

Had our brand new 2019 Lexus UX200 repaired there after getting hit 2 weeks after we had it, by someone on a cell phone in a parking lot. Geez. Anyway, the folks at Mahnke made us an appointment and gave us a quote immediately. The other insurance company took care of the cost and rental car, which was great (since we were right there when it happened and the driver couldn't do a hit and run). The 3 ladies at the front desk were all FANTASTIC and answered all of my questions that I had to my satisfaction. The car, they stated, would take 5 days. In fact, it took exactly 5 days. EXCELLENT job, and FANTASTIC customer service by ALL 3 young ladies at the front desk. They are all keepers and should be provided with kudos from me and my wife Lauren. Thank you to all of you for a job well done!!!! Hopefully, we won't be back, but if something happens to one of our vehicles again, you'll be the first that I'll call. Not the best experience. I had to constantly call for up dates. Arranged to bring my car in around their schedule. Was first told two weeks then four weeks in the shop. It ended up being over 9 weeks. No sense of urgency to get it for the customer. I will go to a different shop next time. I think the body work was done properly My rear defrost doesn't work now and I don't want to go back to their shop. They must of unhooked it. read more

We have had 3 repairs on our cars at Mahnke. One Toyota and 2 GMCs the work is professional and done on time. The shop is super busy and does really good work. On our last repair they didn't clean up the inside well so there was dust inside. However the work turned out beautifully and the estimates are honest. read more

I recently did almost $2,000 worth of damage to my 2010 prius. I've never had body work done and was nervous it would never look the same. I got a few bids and knew after 10 minutes talking to the folks at Mahnke they were the place for me. I later learned they are a preferred vendor of my insurance (state farm) which was a bonus. They are such pros, they knew exactly how I damaged my car and gave a fair estimate within 20 minutes (not the cheapest but fair for great work). It did take 4 full days to do the work but it was worth the wait. All work is guaranteed for as long as I own the car, including paint! And they clean your car inside and out which is a nice touch. My car looks new again and their costumer service was good. But most importantly the car looks great. read more

Round 2 & 3 with Mahnke. I left a clean vehicle with 1/2 tank of gas, after paying a ransom of $ 257.36 for an accounting problem just to get my Ranger released which was filthy and all of the gas had been siphoned out of the tank and today I was pulled over by the police because my stop light was out. This was a new rear tail light assembly that they installed. Nothing was checked. They are unconcerned, my ins. agent said that they made repairs that were not approved. I would advise anyone who takes their vehicle to Mahnke in Golden .BEWARE! They need a better accounting staff and decent customer service! read more

Brought a car into them to have some repairs done (2010 Audi). State Farm recommended them so even though they are not close to my home I gave them a shop. Worked with Stacy to get progress reports, etc. Audi's are tough to work on, order parts for, etc. Although it took some time, and a couple of issues needed to be fixed after the fact, the people at Mahnke, including Joel Mahnke, the GM went out of their way to get the car right for me. Not only did they do the work that was supposed to be done, they fixed some minor things on the car that had absolutely nothing to do with the original insurance claim, just as a courtesy gesture. If I could rate this place lower than one star I wouldn't hesitate for a second. This is by far the worst place you could take your car for anything. They take advantage of insurance and they take advantage of customers. On top of that, when you get your car back you could count on it being dirtier than when you brought it in. The people who worked on my car left black handprints all over the interior and got dirt on all of the doors. Also, (when they should be working on the body of my car) they went through my glovebox and a compartment next to my steering wheel, clearly leaving handprints. And lastly, I take my car in with no dashboard lights on whatsoever and as soon as I start it a tail light is out. Which was strange cause the bulb that was in the light before I took it to this place was working perfectly fine and couldn't have been more than several months old. This place is filled with a bunch of crooks who just want your money, they could careless about your car. If you or anyone is thinking of going here, DONT. There are tons of other places who truly want your business and do above exceptional work for a reasonable price. read more

Deceptive staff, shoddy work, slow. The staff at Mahnke seem nice and friendly when you get there until they get your business. Stacy was particularly nice and helpful through the process of repairing my father in law's car who had recently passed away. The claims on his car were being covered by his State Farm policy. When I dropped off the car I was offered a rental car nonchalantly, as in "oh did you want a rental car". I assumed since they were working on the claim directly with State Farm that the car was covered under his policy. Two minutes later, the Enterprise kid shows up with a full sized car. It was a raging blizzard outside, he took me around the car to check for damages, and had me initial and sign their contract, basically declining their insurance, agreeing to bring the car back full of gas, etc. Never was I asked what kind of car I wanted, told what the rates were, etc. The repairs at Mahnke took much longer than they had promised me, and then when I picked up the car and returned the rental car, I got a call next day from Enterprise wanting to charge me $672 for their rental. I called Mahnke and explained the whole situation to them. They hemmed and hawed, and said they would have their GM call Enterprise and see if they might be able to work something out for me and would call me right back. I never heard back. Three weeks later I get my Amex bill in the mail with the full $672 charge billed. Of course when I called them back and Enterprise I got the old "Sorry there is nothing we can do"... I am still waiting for them to get a part to install on the car that had to be ordered and they couldn't repair in the three plus weeks they had the car. I also have found areas of the car that they repaired that are pitted and need redoing. What started off as a pleasant experience with them has turned into one that I wish I would have never started. I would not return here nor would I refer anyone I know to this business. Poor customer service!!! read more

The worst auto body shop I've been to. Our car was stolen and I was referred to this shop and brought it on. They never returned my calls when I tried to contact them. They told me my car would be ready on a Tuesday and I called that day to see if it was ready and I did not get a response. 3 days later they called me and told me it was ready. When I got there the man accused us of half the damage done to the car while it was stolen; they left grease stains on the carpet in the car and there is an orange paint mark in the car on the console and on the outside of it. I got a Yelp just to advise people not to go here. Rude people and shotty work. read more

Our vehicle had been stolen and recovered. When we looking for a auto body shop to fix some minor damage I located Mahnke in Golden and their appointment time was reasonable compared. A week before they stated they could take our vehicle I had to call to see if they were still going to be able to start the work. I had to call several times for status. At one point when calling for status I was told the pin striper was at the shop that day to finish up, WE HAVE NO PIN STRIPES on our vehicle. They also had to go through QC and cleaning so it would be available the next day. QC- after I paid my part of the repairs and picked up the vehicle and was approx. 1 mile away I received a call from Mahnke that they forgot to put some trim back on. Cleaning- there had been grease on the floor and seat from the ignition that was busted out that I asked if they had the ability to clean when the truck went in. They hadn't tried to clean it as we got it home and were able to remove it. The person that handled our repairs was asked what happened to the vehicle that we had to bring it in so I shared that it was stolen. He was rude and blamed me for damage that was done inside the vehicle saying "are you sure that wasn't there before?" He was accusatory and I would not recommend that location to anyone in the future. read more
