Head upstairs and use the super nice individual bathrooms down the hall if you need. Very clean. Their space is bright and airy with multiple technicians and tables. They obviously have a system and run efficiently. I've always had problems with getting a dramatic lift but Sharon O had no problem. She assessed my lash type and eye shape and told me that it's just a matter of where she placed the rod. My lashes turned out super lifted and lovely. She had a timer for each solution and it was all very matter of fact and systematic - perfect. For first time clients they discount the lash lift from 90 to 80 and give a castor oil lash solution. They said keep lashes dry for 4 hours (one day is for old solutions I guess) and no mascara for one day. You can pay with the card you used to book the appointment. They prefer tip in cash but will also accommodate putting on card. Overall this place was great and if I lived here I would be a regular. read more

Such a relaxing experience! I almost fell asleep during the process. Everyone I met was super nice, and the person doing my lashes was so sweet. I ended up doing a perm on the more dramatic side, and my lashes looked amazing initially. My only comment is that one side didn't last as long as my other - so I had to curl my lashes more on one side. Whenever I would sleep hard, my lashes would somehow end up horizontal on my eyes, and it would be so hard to budge up. Edit 09/28: Gigi reached out apologizing that the lashes didn't turn out the way I wanted and offered to fix it! Love this place!! Trustworthy and great care and service for lash lifts. I've been here a few times and they were so friendly in their first-timer offering. There are a few lash options to choose from (natural to dramatic) and they will also help you find the one based on your preference and your lash type. They also will walk you through the steps which is great to know what is being done! They also dim the lights when the treatment is working which makes for an amazing nap (they also offer you a blanket). They also play relaxing music in the background. The whole thing takes about an hour. Wake up and you have these amazing curled lashes and you wouldn't even have known how. long they could be! Worst eyebrow tinting right before the holidays. I have been a repeat customer for years and when I said it was too dark she offered me no discount and asked for a tip. The level of darkness of completely ridiculous and makes me look cartoonish. She gave me some tint remover to use with pads which took away the barest minimums she offered to bleach my brows, but I would never let her touch them after she botched the tinting so badly. My lash technician, Ai, did a great job of walking me through every step while she was doing it. It was an easy, painless process from start to end. My lash lift really lasted about 4 weeks before I noticed they didn't have the same effect. The lift was probably entirely gone in about 8 weeks. I followed her instructions for maintenance and care but I would only recommend the lift & tint if you have fairly long lashes to begin with. I never leave reviews but I must say I'm shocked that this place has so many high star reviews. I had a lift and tint appointment with Jane and the results were extremely disappointing. I followed the instructions to keep the lashes dry for at least 3 hours yet less than 24 hours later, the lift has almost completely fallen. There are also a few lashes that got crimped and crooked and don't match the lash pattern. Can't believe I wasted $130 (+tip!!) on this. Not to mention, they work on multiple clients at once... my left eye started burning and she was no where to be found so I had to lie there uncomfortably until she came back for the next step in the process when the timer was up. Only giving 2 stars because she was nice, tried her best to help me, and was able to resolve the burning in my eye (and clearly they are required to double up on clients) Save your money, I wish I could get mine back! read more

If you are allergic to any mascara, false eyelashes, or if you have straight eyelashes or your eyelashes irritate you etc, this is a place to go. They use 100% organic, chemical free, natural products imported from Japan & the permed and or tinted eyelashes could last up to 8 weeks or more, with brighter, larger, deeper looking eyes permed by their skilled technicians including the beautiful owner Gigi. They are efficient, on point, extremely well maintained, managed , & executed in every way. Their expanded , renovated, &spacious space is serene & beautiful. After about 45 minutes lying &relaxing on a warm /comfortable bed with soft blanket on top, out with upward, curled, longer looking eyelashes. With touch of mascara, your eyes will look stunning. Came here to get a keratin lash lift from gigi in mid-march and was surprised at how cute the place was. Just a note that it's one space and clients are put into different rooms but on beds with thick curtains separating them so you'll hear clients being welcomed in and exiting but thanks to the aesthetic of the place the sounds aren't very loud. I get it. And I'm adding another five star review to the collection. Gigi was super accommodating and sweet. Thank you! Heads-up for people with sensitive skin: I told her I had sensitive skin (eczema prone) and she made sure the perm solution never touched my eyelids. The only skin contact I had was with the glue under the silicone curling rods. The glue is hypoallergenic, but one of my eyelids did react to it. Thankfully though the swelling went down by the time I got home, so if this happens to you, don't stress! I went with the medium rod size, as Gigi recommended after her assessment, and I'm so glad I went with that: the curl is beautiful and it doesn't irritate my eyelids, which other people have reported experiencing with the most dramatic "straight up" curl. I didn't expect the lift would come out as beautifully as they did since my lashes are super short--but see for yourself. read more

Now that I've (sadly) moved away from NYC and no longer have Gigi to do my lash lifts - let me tell you something. She's the best in the country. I've moved through two states and multiple lash lift places this year and none of them come close to her results. The curl looks better, the lift is more flattering and dramatic, and the curl lasts for far longer when you go to Gigi. Also whatever she uses, you can get wet after 4 hours while everyone else tells you no water for at least 24 hours. Gigi is magic. I may have to schedule visits to NYC to do my lashes every few months :( read more

I LOVE gigi! With the results & service I get, it's not a mystery as to why she's booked up for weeks in advance. I'm extremely self conscious about my stiff, straight, blonde eyelashes. Can't hold a curl if my life depended on it. Not the worst thing to be self conscious about, but enough of a self-esteem nuisance to spend triple digits on them every two months. Gigi whips them into shape with the most dramatic mold. I close my eyes for an hour and open my eyes to find that the tips of them are touching my eyebrows. She gives me eyelashes that would have me mistaken for Tupac. They go from being at 0 to 90 degrees on a unit circle. The service is *chef's kiss.* There was one instance where the perm wasn't dramatic enough for me. After a few weeks of feeling bothered my the results, I went back and Gigi re-did them to my liking. I cheated on her once when I couldn't make my original appointment, and it was enough for me to swear loyalty to Mai Lash Bar. If you're curious about getting your eyelashes permed, just fucking do it. Tell them I sent you. read more

I've followed Gigi all around NYC to her many different studios since 2013 and I'm a loyal and forever client and all for the right reasons. I was with her when she was working under Lavilash, then at her 6th Avenue studio which was a curtained off area of a threading studio, then at her 26th street studio which was a small back room of the LOFT26 hair salon and now at her beautiful own Broadway studio. The procedure is about 45 minutes to an hour and she has four beds that are constantly turned over whenever I'm there. You can choose to do the natural or the more dramatic curl. This business deserves good reviews for the service outcome however today I have been taken aback by gigi's attitude that went from humble and sweet to some kind of witch. I've recieved perm's from gigi for the past two years with some slip ups here and there (one eye with dramatic lashes and the other just barely permed) however I still came back so she can fix it. This happened on three occasions and I did not give her a hard time. On another occasion she scheduled me for a 9:00AM appointment and she was nowhere to be found (had me waiting for a good half hour). Today, I wanted to reschedule an appointment because of an unexpected family emergency. And gigi decided to witch out and accuse me of being a no show on multiple occasions (i have NEVER been a no show) and tried to make me feel bad by saying "my tech came all the way far from Queens and now she has nothing to do, anyways have a good day :)" ( I ALSO come far from Queens) and did not once even acknowledge my emergency. Instead she continued to explain how my cancelation hurts her agenda. Again, the service is ok, but beware in trying to reschedule your appointment because you might get this reaction from her.
