This was such a cute diner! 50's themed with era appropriate music playing. They only had one waitress and a cook working and they were both busting their butts to get everything out. She was very pleasant but let you know it was just her and it may be a little wait which was appreciated. The food was good. Loved the malt and the pork tenderloin was delicious the maidrite loose meat sandwich was not for me. Tasted like boiled meat but everything else was great! I come back to the Quad Cities only once a year. I strive to go to Maid Rite, Whiteys and Frank's Pizza. I ordered a Maid Rite at this place (2402 E. 53rd in Davenport "wet" and it was bone dry and a major disappointment. Will totally bypass this location in the future read more

I live 30 miles away but I try to stop here whenever I can. The waitress is pleasant and I love the decor. I usually order maid rites to go because I'm alone. I ordered their mushrooms as well but they frequently forget the ranch sauce. They have an extensive menu if you want to eat in. read more

My ex and I grabbed dinner at maid rite. I got the fried cauliflower which is to die for! Got my ex to eat vegetables The chili however could be better it just tastes like they slapped some sloppy joe meat with beans and called it good. I had some crackers but didn't help anything. Stopped by at 630, saw the sign on the door said they closed at 7. We were like great we order real quick, eat and beat it. Walked in was greeted with a friendly "hey guys" we said "hey" back, then that friendly greeting was followed up by a "are you getting carry out?" We said no, the worker said in a snarky tone "well we close in 15, 20 minutes." Well we know how this us going to go so we say "ok" and turn around to leave, to which the lady hollers after us "the sign is right there on the door" and then something else but we were already out the door to far to hear what that was. What happened to customer service? My wife and I both worked in the food industry both places we worked served people up until close and we were never rude about it. The last comments "the sign is right there on the door" and whatever else was said was unnecessary. I'm sure that lady in her fifties was proud of herself but we won't be back. We drove away, went somewhere else, and I wrote this review and the place hasn't even closed yet. Whoever owns this joint needs to look into the customer service. read more

We eat here regularly. They have the best burgers. Their tenderloin, and fish sandwiches are also great. Even their chicken tenders are about the best I've had. Definitely don't pass on their 'cheese balls' (their deep fried cheese curds) they are delicious. If you want breakfast, I've not had anything that didn't hit the spot. Excellent omelets, pancakes, French toast, you name it. If you want a sweet fruity breakfast try their strawberry pancakes. As for service, you can tell everyone likes to be there (or they are excellent actors, one of the two.) They are a pleasure. We always leave smiling! read more

The Maid Rite Diner is okay. Their service is slow but the food is fine. It is a nice setting. Overall it is okay and a "Place" to eat.

The atmosphere was fun and well designed. Upbeat staff put you ins good mood. And the food was delicious. Great breakfast experience.

Me and friend stopped here Sunday on the way to the movies. We got there at 11:20 and was hoping to make a noon movie. We both ordered Mega-Rites and pops. This new location inside Family Video is something different. It is new and bright and clean. Our waitress was right there with menus and we knew we wanted Maga-Rites so didn't open menu. No need for a basket including fries because the sandwiches are so big. She went right to the seasoned meat steam table and made both our sandwiches herself and brought them right to us in under 5 minutes! I always get mustard, onion, and extra pickle. No ketchup. My friend always gets everything. We unwrapped them and meat was steaming and overflowing all over the wax paper. She really stuffed them. Their meat temp there is much higher than the Division Street location. I mean Division is warm, but 53rd St. restaurant was steaming, piping, hot. Really hit the spot and we were out of there before 11:35. Then had to waste some time driving around town before the movie after all. read more
