This place never gets packages out the door on time. Every package I ship from her is delivered Late!!

So grateful for Maria for being so patient and kind to me and my mom. We were moving my grandma and had about 18 big boxes to ship out. We came towards the end of the day and she helped us get every single box out and even stayed past close. She was personable and took her time to make sure each box was taped up nicely and let us know which way to ship each box would be price wise. Very poor customer service by Maria. Always unpleasant. There's sometimes a man that works the counter and he isn't any better. Just awful people. If you need boxes, recommend going to Wal-Mart and check there first. Also, this places charges a " convenience fee" for using a credit card and doesn't inform customers beforehand. read more

This establishment has poor customer service. This is the 2nd time today (Mar 10th) that I have used this place and it will definitely my last one. Positive greetings of the day and a smile goes a long way when treating a customer. The lady in black sweater (same lady from the last time) should learn what customer service is all about, she needs serious training on how to deal with customers. They never lost a package or caused me any grief, and employees have always been friendly. What else can I ask for? read more

Beware of the price at this business. They charged $75 for a 17 lb package while UPS charges $43 and the USPS charges less than $20 and they pick it up . I know they are a for profit organization but 33% over UPS as a handling fee is a ripoff. Even payday loans and credit cards don't charge this rate. My advice, stay away and don't use this service. read more

Dean, Angel & the entire crew has been there for us on the East & West Coasts. And everywhere in between. This Business is extremely busy, because they are downright GOOD! If you need to photo copy anything stay far away from Mail Max. They are predatory and taking advantage of the limited choices in Barstow. Recently I needed to make a copy of a 2 page document and these creeps charged me a whopping $2.91 cents!!! They also were quick to say "we gave you a break on the price." When I asked why the hell it costs so much they said "we had to use our emal..." When I asked what that meant the guy indicated that when he put my USB drive into the computer, that itself incurred a charge. He again tried to tell me that I got a good deal. Who reading this thinks that almost a $1.50 per page is a "good deal?" I rarely give reviews but this has bothered me for the past 3 days and I needed to both vent and warn others. Stay away...go to a realtor or if you can, wait until you have business in Victorville and do it there. They know people don't want to drive 30 miles for 2 photo copies so they gouge and it should be illegal. One star is way too much for this extreme pricing and gouging. The worker was very nice however when he called the manager the manager REFUSED to honor the YELP check in offer of 20% off shipping. He said their business has "nothing to do with YELP." To ship a 14 lb. walker for an elderly lady on a fixed income it cost $129.00! Shameful. read more

I drove four hundred miles round trip to obtain a special package from this location. I had called ahead to ask the manager if they could hold the package for a few days. She responded that since I did not have a mailbox at that location that there would be a charge of $10.00 but would hold the package. When I got to the store, I found out that they returned the package since I did not have a mailbox. I mentioned to the employee that I had called the manager and confirmed that they would hold the package, and his response is that he never received the notification from the manager. Obviously, I was a bit frustrated and mentioned to him that pls pass this incident to the manager. I did not receive any acknowledgment nor any apology whatsoever. As others have mentioned do not do business with this establishment. They have no idea how to treat customers with dignity or care. read more

I went in to send a care package for my niece. This man packed my stuff and saw that I had valuable and expensive things in it, and some other items I wanted to cheer my niece up with, who is fighting difficult times coping with the loss of her dad, besides, it was her birthday gifts I was sending too. This man packed the items and only asked for the recipient's address but did not ask for mine. I was starting to wonder when was he gonna ask me for more info, like my address and to declare what's in the package and stuff, he did not ask me for any of that, his fingers were starting to shake, I had no idea why. He charged me $70.55 on this little 9lb. box on parcel select usps going overseas, and didn't put my information as the sender, instead he put his info, so that means if something happens to the box it will come straight to him. i was wondering what he was doing typing on the machine, before I know it, it was done, labeled and ready to be shipped. A usps mailman came to pick up the mail and he stopped her and told her to get mine too. I was like, u haven't even ask for my info and declaration of items and if I wanted to insure it or not. He reassured me that it's been done and there is already insurance on it and so he gave the mailman my box. If i didn't keep questioning him, I couldn't have taken the photo of the label on the box, and I would have no right to any of the stuff I sent because I had no info on it. He was not gonna give me any tracking number either. But when I asked, he acted like he didn't know what he was doing. The lady who was helping another customer suggested that I take a photo of the label which had the tracking number so I did. I have been tracking this box ever since and it seems like it's been automated. It keeps updating every time which is so weird. It was supposed to arrive at the destination by yesterday March 18th, but nope, it's still not there. Early yesterday morning, I tracked it and it updated me right away with the message that it is going to arrive later but did not update on when or which facility, it only say the "next facility". This is horrible. I would have given them zero star rating but no choice. What do I do now? Because yesterday I called them and this guy said he will be happy to help me locate my box if I bring in anything like receipt and tracking number. He asked for the tracking number so I gave him, he searched and said I have to come in with my papers because it doesn't look like that item existed, WOW! He did not give me any receipt that has his number to evaluate him or anything. Anyway, I stopped by at their store and the person who helped me said its on its way there and there is nothing we can do about it. So what happened to helping me locate my box? Change of plans? What do I do? This is horrible. read more

This place officially sucks! If I could give it a negative five stars, I would. It has gone downhill over the past few years; we miss you Josh! They now have a high turnover of employees and their moral is typically low. Customer service is terrible. I used to be greeted by name when I entered the store, hell, if they were not busy, they would see me getting out of the car and have my mail ready when I entered the shop, not anymore. They used to be open on weekends and stay open until 7pm, no longer. Now they close the store early for holidays and leave customers with no access to their packages. They frequently put mail in the wrong boxes, or fail to process parcels and put slips in the boxes, and then they give attitude to customers who ask them to check to see if there are more packages. On multiple occasions I have had two or three package slips in my mail box, only to find that there were five or more packages waiting for me there. If I don't insist that they check further I would not receive my packages. I also have to verify every piece of mail I pick up to ensure it is mine leaving me to wonder how many pieces of my mail they have misplaced. They fail to provide mailbox customers with a bill when it is due and then threaten to suspend service and charge a late fee. They are currently the only mail service in town besides the Post Office so I begrudgingly tolerate it for now, but I am seriously considering my options. If someone could just open up a UPS store here that would be perfect! read more

I went in here to mail something and they acted as if I was not a customer. The lady behind counter just kept on talking about her life to another lady . Finally needed to have mail postmarked by today and it was 4 I asked if I could leave my money for copy. Well I was care of by another employee who was talking on the phone. As I gave him my change , I ask if my envelope needed additional stamps , it needed two more. I did not have the change so I gave my debit card . And they wouldn't let me use it unless my purchase was over 3 dollars . I was upset and I said sh&t , I dropped my change trying to pick it up, took me a few minutes cuz I am disabled. And as I left I turn and saw the lady walking towards the door laughing, I could see the man in plain sight who both seemed to be enjoying the hard time I was having. If they were laughing I feel it should of been the lady looking in the mirror who was wearing the biggest, funniest looking glasses since hobo Kelley .
