Jill is absolutely the best sales associate/window clerk I have ever encountered at this Post Office. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in all facets of delivery methods, ensuring the customer receives the best service for their money. Jill is always polite, courteous, and attuned to her customers' needs. My articles arrived at their destination exactly as she promised in a timely manner. She accomplishes this while keeping the line moving in an orderly and expeditious manner. Jill should be commended for a job well done, exceeding all my expectations. read more

My review is specifically for Jill, who acted like she was brand new when I gave her a pre-printed shipping label. She asked me what I was shipping when I had an envelope in my hand and told me that I needed a box or package. Jill could have simply handed me one of the envelopes she had right behind her, but she wanted to give me a hard time for some reason. Then when I put my envelope into a USPS envelope and handed her the label, she told me I would need to go purchase my own tape. Really Jill? I know that USPS has transparent pouches that you could have simply put my pre-paid mailing lable inside of. The last time I was at the post office, the helpful young clerk taped the label with two expensive pieces of tape onto the envelope for me. I have half a mind to go back and speak to the postmaster about your lack of customer service and unwillingness to help your paying customers, but seeing your blank face would only irritate me further, so I'll leave this review for you and your supervisor. Horrible. I made a passport appointment, gathered my documents, took time off from work, pulled family from their activities, and drove hours to the scheduled time. Arrived early and waited through a long line....then, USPS cancelled my reservation with no notice, phone call, or voice messagr. Huge inconvenience. They lied to my face and said they called me in advance. Hate the postal service lack of service and communication. No phone receptionist to ask questions or get issue resolved. read more

I love the Barstow Post Office. I have a PO Box and am a regular visitor. Many times when the Counter Personnel are busy someone will come from the back & assist the customers picking up mail. There have been days I cannot find a package that was delivered to me & accidentally given to the mail carrier; however, they are extremely professional & courteous -- retrieving my package & even getting it off the carrier's truck. I have personally witnessed many irate customers getting loud & yelling @ the Counter Personnel. The employees stay calm and in many times de-escalate the situation & calm the customers down I truly appreciate the Barstow USPS Team. God Bless & Stay Safe read more

I absolutely love the ladies at this location. Ambrosia and Jill are my personal favorites though. They remember the stamps I want and always hold them for me. They display amazing patience skills with me. I can come in at times all over the place, but they always get me together positively and send me on my way with a smile. I'm in there at least once a week, sometimes more. Never a long wait even then there is a line. They do not play about that close time, but in the same breath, when they open, the doors are unlocked & my girls are ready with a smile and great customer service. Thank you to Michael at the post office today for helping me with my packages! I was holding my baby, a large tote with items to mail off, and trying to tape up two large boxes. The original woman at the counter handed me the tape and told me to step aside until I was ready. Didn't offer to help or anything. Just get back in line when I'm ready. Not sure of her name, she was older with an accent. Thanks for nothing. Michael, you stepped up to the counter and offered when you clearly saw I had my hands full. I truly appreciate you taking the additional MINUTE to help me secure my items-which your fellow employee refused. Thank you again!!! read more

I wish I could give these jerks a big fat ZERO! They cannot be fired from their lucrative jobs so don't give a flying rat's ass about the consumer! I'm homebound due to catastrophic illness. I've shared this information with post office employees, supervisors and the carrier, herself. Every single time I schedule for a pick up at my front door (15 feet from the mailbox) the package is left behind! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Confirmation numbers issued by USPS are moot because pick up requests are IGNORED. Adding insult to injury, the carrier then "closes out" requests as if she had picked up the box. I have to call and BEG supervisors, Marsha and Art to send the carrier back to do a job they should have done in the first place! POSTAGE RATES ARE TOO HIGH FOR CONSUMERS TO BE TREATED SO BADLY! I can't change a thing. And Uncle Sam will NOT. read more

This USPS location is terrible thanks to Marie. I've been shipping packages for the last 7 years, I've never had a problem where I used to live before until I got to Barstow. Every time that I give a package to Marie she tells me that there is something wrong with it. I got a package return once too, because of her. She starts to making me loose money, if she keeps doing that I'm going to have to talk with her manager or, if she is the manager I'm going to have to talk to her superiors. Just the thought of going to this USPS store makes me cringe.. I gave up making money orders here because I always get overcharged because the old Asian man can't count for the life of him. Make sure you take your ID and a pen with you. read more

They can't read , every other month they deliver my mail to the wrong address , and expect me to go searching for it !!!

put in a change of address so i wouldnt forget and post office stopped my service 3 weeks too early and now my package and paycheck are missing and nobody knows where it is. they need to start reading dates and not assume things. read more

Every time I ship an item from this location it arrives at its destination smashed and ripped (seven different items at the time of this review). I have been mailing items from CA to NY for three years and have NEVER encountered the problems I have at this location. Additionally, when I attempt to ship items the clerks argue with me telling me that 1. I should pay for overnight shipping instead of ground and 2, that I am completely wrong and that items do not arrive damaged. I actually had a clerk tell me I was lying when I told him I wanted insurance for a letter because of these problems. It's incredible. Make the drive the dagget or Victorville if you are able. read more
