Most of these 1 and 2 reviews are from when the previous employees were working there. I've been going here for years and I can without a doubt say the new staff members they have hired are very awesome. Michelle being the most hard-working employee I've seen anywhere at a place like this. They have lots of services and don't charge all that much. Giving it a 5 to offset the previous 1-star ratings. Would knock it down to a 4 in reality only because it can take a long time to get something done when the line gets long, since there is usually only 1 person working. read more

This place is so convenient. The customer service is amazing. The younger girl with the wavy hair helps me daily, package my Fed Ex envelopes. She doesn't have to do this she just does it! I'm baffled by the reviews for this place. I've rented a PO Box here for the past couple of years and they have been nothing but nice and helpful. I'm terrible with names, but the girl in front who always has perfect eyeliner, is the best! I think the complaints about the Chinese guy is ridiculous, if anything I think he's just on the quiet side which I guess people might perceive as being rude. Anyhow, I always forget my key and they are more than happy to always grab my mail for me. AND they were excellent with passport photos for my toddler! read more

These people are so rude. I not talking about an off day I mean every time I go in they act as if they are doing me a favor. I have taken my business elsewhere. They also have a sign post stating that you are not allowed to talk on your cell phone while you are in their establishment. ABSOLUTELY RUDE! Since the day I met the woman that owns the "Mail Place" I've had nothing but problems. The first time I met her, she was walking her dogs over to our side of the building to let her dogs go to the bathroom; we asked her nicely to take her dogs elsewhere because we do not need her 2 dachsunds to urinate on our posts or poop on the side of our store (that she NEVER PICKS UP). Instead of respecting our wishes, she continued to do so until it became another problem that her dogs also like to bark at us and our customers. We then decided to call the property manager and complain. Since then, she still trys to walk them over towards our store (with noticable attitude)and since they're never on a leash so a couple times we've found them walking around our store alone. I don't appreciate her lack of responsibility to take care of her animals' droppings, respecting our store is not her dogs' bathroom and that apparently she also doesnt watch them so one way or another they somehow end up at our store. And to make things even better, UPS sent our paychecks from Texas to her store by mistake and instead of dropping them off (or having an employee do it for her) she signed for it then sent them back. So thanks to her and her immature grudge, everyone's check is being shipped back to Texas and we won't be able to get them until Wednesday of next week at earliest! So in a nut shell.... RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, DOESN'T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR HER DOGS AND IS THE REASON WE AREN'T GETTING PAID THIS WEEK! WE CAN'T TRUST HER WITH OUR MAIL, WHY SHOULD YOU??? read more

I gave Mail and More a grandfather clock to pack for long term storage. I was given a verbal quote of 45.00. When I brought in the clock, Vanessa said "Oh, this is going to be more than 45.00, but did not give me any idea how much more. I assumed "more" meant maybe 100.00 or 150.00...wow was I wrong! Two days later, AFTER she had packed most of it, she called me with a quote of over 300.00! When I told her I wish she had called with a quote before packing it, she started yelling at me over the phone about how hard it had been to pack. She told me (again after the fact) that she had spent "two entire days" packing it. Then she told me she would rather just unpack it all than negotiate a more reasonable price and to pick it up at 1 Pm. Hmmm. Two hours to unpack a clock that supposedly took two full days to pack??? She was very rude...I hope she doesn't break anything out of spite. read more

We've experienced this store closed during regular business hours and mailed packages that were returned for insufficient funds when they weighed and mailed the item. We've only attempted to use the store about 4-5 times, so this is a rate percentage of problems when trying to do business here. read more

I HATE shipping packages. I hate packaging them...and am less than fond of what it cost to get them where they are going. It is rare that I can find anything nice to say about any part of the process...that said... This place is amazing. I have been there a number of times and walked in with 'the goods' and explained what I was trying to do (get it where, how fast and the cheapest way possible) and it never fails...the staff always comes through. They take the time to inform me of all my options, assist me in getting everything I need to make sure it is done right and then get it where it's going, letting me know clearly what to expect. This place definitely deserves 5 stars! The staff was very helpful, polite and seemed like real pro's. I had a large package I needed packed and shipped, they did an outstanding job and ensured I was happy with the end product before sending it. They even have a spare computer I was able to rent and print some tickets out instead of having to go back home. I was in and out in a matter of minutes. I have been to some competitors in the area before and the service was no where near this place. I will be coming back here for sure. Now I know why they're called the Mail Place! read more

This place is pretty bad I wanted to ship a package through UPS and instead of taking it to the UPS store near Safeway I thought I would try here because it was closer. Bad mistake. I got a quote on the UPS website for $19 but when i took it in they said it was going to cost $44. What?? Well they explained to me that the box was over sized, despite the fact that the box dimensions were factored into the online price. So I said screw it and took it to the actual official UPS store in town and sure enough they only charged me $19. I asked them if they box was over sized and they said of course not. Do not take your business to this place they will rip you off. Go to the UPS store in town! read more

I went to this establishment last Saturday to return an item I had bought from Amazon Prime that came damaged. There was no one else in the store when I walked in and the owner or employee who was working there heard me enter (he was behind the counter and there are bells on the door) yet did not acknowledge me in any way. I stood at the counter and had to wait several seconds before he would even look my way and then he gruffly asked me what I wanted. When I told him I was returning a package from Amazon prime he scowled and informed me that he would accept it but he doesn't receive any money for it. I apologized and offered him a dollar, which he took. I have returned other items from Amazon prime at other UPS stores and they have always been exceedingly pleasant and willing to help me. The mail place is under new ownership and the woman is very nice and her staff is very helpful.... never had a problem with the old or new owners, when I need a quote on mailing items they will give it over the phone and even tell me if it is cheaper to go to the post office.... as for talking on your cell in a store I find rude when people do that any where... I don't want to hear your business on the phone leave it off and talk out side or in your car. read more

I have used The Mail Place for about 5 years now, and going in there always lights up my day. They knew me by name by the 3rd or 4th time I came in, and often get my packages as soon as they see me walk up, before I even check my box or go to the counter. Plus, I love their little dachshunds, who I now know well enough that they will come from behind the counter to say "Hi" to me. Plus, they cost about 1/2 what my other mail place use to charge, so it is "wins" all around for me. read more

I feel that the staff at this location lacks in professionalism and are very rude, esp the chinese guy. As you walk in, they don't even greet with a "hello" or "how can I help you?". I got "you dropping that off?". This is not the only time either. They act like they are doing me a favor. I've gone there several times and have gotten the same lack of customer service. However, today, a Chinese guy approached me at the counter with no verbal communication and took my package. I kindly asked for a receipt. He snapped back and said that i need to keep the tracking number as my receipt. He then went to the computer in corner and said that he'll print one this time but, eventually, they won't do that anymore. He gave me the receipt, again with no words, and walked to the back. Personally, I request for a receipt so that I have proof that they took my package out of my hands and won't give me any excuses that they never received the package in their store. I don't see what the big deal is with providing a receipt......as a matter of fact, every business pretty much provides one, especially if requested by the customer. With the way they operate, I would take my business and recommendations elsewhere who actually deserve clients. read more

I enjoy supporting local business but I was shocked when I went in there the other day and my long time go to person, Triny was no longer there. I was in disbelief. Unfortunately the new person that was at the counter, could not answer my question direct when it comes to notarizing some documents. The owner, the lady with the glasses, seemed to be all over the place. She seemed to be overwhelmed. If anyone knows what happen to Triny please please tell her to come back. I miss the fact she knows exactly how much my packaging is to ship oversea's every time as well. I went in there to get my passport photos taken, and liked how they were able to assist me on an issue that occurred with my visa application.
