The men who work the front desk are very friendly and recognize me by name (pronouce it right too) and even what packages are waiting for me everytime even though I've only been in during open hours a few times (because I'm shy). I also like it because when it's closed, I can still pick up my mail by key. If there's a large package waiting for you but during closed hours, they leave an orange slip stating they have the package for you to pick up when opened. read more

This place is awesome! I always dread sending out packages because I hate long lines and filling out tedious forms. Plus I rarely have the right box and all of the packing tape. My daughter left for college so I could no longer avoid sending care packages. After reading another helpful review, I decided to try Mailboxes of Oceanside. So glad I did! I handed the friendly owner my stuff to send, he packaged it all up, gave me a very brief form to fill out, and I was out of there in five minutes! Plus, he is saving the address on file so I won't have to fill out anything next time. He told me I don't even need to bring in a box, just the bag of goodies and he'll do the rest! Perfect! This review is long overdue. I have been several times & the service was just SO far above & beyond what I would get anywhere else that I made myself a note to write a review when I had time to. I found Mailboxes when the post office next door had a long line I didn't feel like waiting in to check the price of what my package would cost to mail. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with a friendly smile & acknowledged, even though there were several people in line ahead of me. I love when people say "Hello, I'll be right with you" when you walk in! It's like they actually appreciate having your business! Seems to be a thing of the past nowadays, right?! Several times I have mailed packages & was very happy with the service I received. They packed something up for me once, when I was unsure of getting it right. One time I purchased a box to mail an item and they bubble wrapped, packed it & taped it and did everything for me, CHEAP, for the price of the box! At the post office they make me buy a roll of packing tape & supplies, and if they ever offered to pack it I'd probably hit the floor in shock. There was one time that is SO far above and beyond exceptional service that I need to highlight this: I sold a PS3 on ebay. I took the package to Mailboxes of Oceanside. As usual, I asked them to check my packing skills. They are always so accommodating & don't even hint at my inept skills lol. The time was 12 noon. Later that day, at 4:50pm, I got an email from the woman that bought the PS3, asking me if it was possible to mail it to a different address, because they had just moved, but ebay hadn't updated her new address yet. She was hoping to save money shipping, not pay me to ship it to her old address, then pay again to get it to her new one. Did I mention it was 4:50pm? I called Mailboxes & asked if there was any possible way to make this happen. It was now 4:55pm, my heart fluttering, butterflies in my stomach. I was told "No worries!" in a very calm, chilled out, reassuring way. They just took care of everything over the phone! Also, they didn't charge me any extra, even though I knew it was going to cost more to go the extra distance, as it was 2 zones further. You just don't get that kind of customer service anywhere! I got the best 5 star feedback on ebay from this woman, praising me for saving the day & giving her bored, anxious kids something to do while in transition to their new home. But the real hero was the woman working at Mailboxes of Oceanside that day!! Needless to say, this 5 star review is definitely deserved! read more

Horrible, horrible, absolutely horrible. I dropped off a package on Sat 2/16 at 11AM. Woman told me she would have a confirmation number for me later in the day or I could go to the post office myself and get one??? I gave her my email and told her it was important that I get it the same day. She promised. Never got it. On Monday she is digging through her trash for the confirmation number and then realizes she never mailed it!!! This place should never be allowed to touch anyones mail! She cannot understand why I am a little upset and tells me to "chill??" Seriously??? read more

We feel like we should give two reviews. First for 5 Stars when Joey is there. Second for 1 Star when he is not. So we settled on 3 Stars. Asked a simple question then a follow up request of someone there (not Joey) that did not work out at all! He apparently did not understand what we needed and was very short in his response. it was a very simple question and very simple request. He seemed to be more interested in watching the clock as they close at noon on Saturdays. Perhaps in a rush to get other stuff done. We are posting this review before the noon closing time, it was 11:30 when we need the service. FYI. Not rude, yet very unhelpful. We are certain this would not have been the case had Joey been in the store. Unfortunately for us we needed the service today, not another day when Joey would be there. Epic fail! read more

Over the last 30 years I have lived in more than 15 different states and 35 different cities. Because of my moves I have frequently used private mailbox centers (including renting mailboxes).
