We we contacted Mailman Environmental to have some testing done after a water damage event because he wanted a totally independent eye from the remediation company and our insurance company. Chris was a total professional. We made our first appointment and Chris, who had thrown out his back that day still managed to make it to our place. You just don't find people that conscientious these days in general. Chris surveyed the property with a careful eye that inspired confidence and he made recommendations for further remediation in a thorough written report. We liked the fact that Chris was not alarmist yet he was still conservative in his approach to make sure that everything had been addressed appropriately. What we had wanted was a completely independent review and that's what we got. As a first time home buyer in escrow, another physical inspection company report found some questionable areas in the house, that could have been asbestos. I searched around Yelp, and to be honest, I was a little bit hesitant about trying this business, since there were other asbestos testing companies with more reviews. But, for timing reasons, and since Chris, the owner was so responsive over the phone (late Saturday evening) and said I could get results the same day, I had him come out on Monday morning. I am very thankful that I gave the 'mailman' a try! He arrived on time, was personable, did his inspection, and gave his detailed & practical assessment about the concerned areas. He took his time to explain possible scenarios of next steps I could take. Since he is a testing company, he didn't have to give me any advice, but he just took his time to share his experience and knowledge so I can make an educated decision depending on a positive or negative result. He even said I could get a same day test results (which no other company could offer me, most were 24 to 48 hours). Fortunately, I happened upon Mailman who from the beginning was very informative. Never once did I get pressured or feel like I needed to look elsewhere. I knew right away I was in good hands. My overly protective small dog barks at ALL visitors, even ones who come regularly. The first time she ever walked up and was polite to a guest without barking or having a nervous posture was when Chris from Mailman entered.
