Chicken was delicious, hot and fresh. Service was quick and staff was nice. Plenty of tables to eat at the only thing is it was cold and the heaters they had there weren't on so take an extra sweater if you plan on sitting outside. Main Chick here in Long Beach is my spot now. I would always drive by it and be intrigued to try their food and man first time I tried it.. just made me love it a lot! Their sandwiches are pretty small but I mean they honestly get you full quick! The chicken is always so tender and I love their fry seasoning!! Today I wanted to surprise her with her favorite chicken tenders, I showed up and ordered the food, it was all normal until I realized it had been a while that I had been waiting, I checked my phone and my receipt had been sent 20 minutes earlier, I asked about my food and they said 6 more minutes. At this point I'm thinking this is too long for some tenders and 2 sandwiches but I decided to wait. Ten more mi it's went by and they still couldn't tell me when my food would be done so I couldn't wait any longer so I decided to cancel my order and ask for a refund which they did but I only have their word because they can't send anything showing the refund. Had mild chicken strips with fries and enjoyed it quite a bit. I even enjoyed their signature sauce. In fact, I'd buy a bottle of the sauce. The fries were AMAZING and reminded me of Golden Bird fries from my childhood. I don't enjoy spicy foods and their mild chicken is spicier than most. However, the flavor was just immense. Dave's hot chicken has always been my number one but I think main chick may be slightly better than Dave's or equally as good ( haven't been back to Dave's in a while) . Their fries were crispy and fresh. The chicken was juicy, crunchy and flavorful! The spicy was actually spicy ! Many hot chicken places I have been to don't get their spicy level right but main chick was almost perfect. Their MC sauce was a little thick for my liking but still very good. Not a huge fan of ranch but the ranch here is different and goes really well with the chicken. Mac n cheese was ok, nothing too special. Everything was hot and fresh! Will be back very soon!!!! I was even offered a ranch complementary because i asked about it after i finished paying, little things like that go a long way in customer service and return customers! Now the food! The fries were pretty crispy for the most part, good tasting and different seasoning also comes with some dipping sauce that is good. The sandwich was moist and very flavorful, the mild has a slight kick but nothing overwhelming and it is delicious. The tender is a good sized portion as well. Paid about 14$ after tax, and it is very filling, the only down side i would say is the 'combo' does not come with a drink. I ordered it plain with no slaw and pickles but it came with slaw and pickles but no heat (we ordered medium). I didn't mind though because we got to taste the chicken and it was AMAZING. the chicken was juice and crispy. The fries had great flavor. Their sauce is delicious as well. So my first 2 visits were awesome and I wish I knew the young lady's name. Her customers service was top notch. She was welcoming and patient. She told me about the heat levels and gave description of the sauce. The food was fresh and hot. THE FRIES are \0/ Addictive. I was not used to the falling off coating of the chicken but it taste good. My second visit was better because I got ranch dipping sauce. Just not a fan of Mayo. Now that third visit threw me off. I was NOT expecting to be rushed threw my order. I had to ask for my receipt because the young man took over the (POS)=no tip for the day. HE DID NOT ASK about my choice of sauce so I had to ask for ranch when I got my bag. He caught himself when he started to quote the @extra sauce charge" and just gave me a ranch. Amazing ambience for a hole in the wall, along with great tasting chicken. The dark meat is apparently quite popular since the girls in the front have to ask the line cooks if there's any left. It was a surprise to see a chicken place sell dark meat but it was juicy and flavorful. I ordered the hottest level of spice which requires a waiver and gets you a Polaroid photo on their wall. The hottest level has a combination of ghost peppers and Carolina reapers. I got a sandwich, which was delicious but was painful to eat. I took 2-3 bites and tapped out, it was intense and was a continuous burning sensation. I saved the rest to take home and bit into a seed, which burned much more spontaneously for a longer duration. My friend also ordered the dark meat combo but with a lower level spice and thoroughly enjoyed his meal. The fries were delicious, the Cajun seasoning had a nice sweetness to it which helped tone out the saltiness. The cashiers were some high school girls who were friendly and had high energy, capable of handling high volumes of orders. They were chill and provided fairly good service for a chicken spot.
