I ordered two of the $10 meals yesterday and was very pleased. The meal included 1/2 Santa Barbara Char, chicken bites, tempura green beans and a drink. It was more than enough food. The strawberry limeade was good. The chicken bites were exceptional compared to McD's. The green beans were a nice change. The service was good and the inside was clean and cool. I had the Santa Barbara Char once before and by the time I got to where I could eat it, it was soggy and falling apart, barely edible so, this time I omitted the lettuce, tomato and pickles. The guacamole and grilled onions were more than enough moisture. They will provide the lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo on the side if requested. I've always been a big fan of Habit Burger and regularly visit other locations, so this experience was especially disappointing. On May 31, my group ordered four cheeseburgers and spent about $70 on our meals. When we started eating, we realized that none of the burgers had tomatoes. I went to the counter to let an employee know, and I was told that they had run out of tomatoes. I'm sorry, but if you're out of a key burger topping, customers should be informed before ordering. We paid full price and were never given the option to modify our order or choose something else. It may seem like a small thing, but the burgers just don't taste the same without tomatoes, and it really affected our meal. I've had great experiences at other Habit locations, which is why this was so surprising. Foods always ok but whoever owns this location needs to have more staff working on the shifts. Every time we have tried to come to this location it's a crazy amount of time you have to wait. Like...1/2 hour in the drive thru. We won't be going to this Location again. Lesson learned. If your family is hungry and you need to get something quickly... Hate doing this because the family loves Habit, but I won't go to this location anymore. Every time I go through the drive-thru, something ends up wrong with my order. Usually it's the $10 Gotta have it meal that missing the chicken pieces. This last time I confirmed when I ordered that it comes with the chicken pieces. 'yes sir'. Confirmed again at the window, and when the bags were handed to me, I could smell them on top. Success! Or so I thought.... The Santa Barbara had no avocado. My sirloin steak sandwich had no sauce, and the cheese looks like it was the last thing put on, since it was cold on a hot sandwich (not melted at all). And gave me double green beans instead of one green bean and one French Fries. Little mistakes I know, but that many in one order was enough for me. Given this location multiple chances. Loved the drive through option, but it isn't worth it when the order is always wrong. I'll drive farther to go to the one off El Camino from now on. read more

First off, food has always been great and service has been good. However, their drive-thru is the absolute worst!! It does not matter if you ordered online, you WILL wait for 30mins in that drive thru to get your food, 40+ if there are other cars before you. It should seriously not take that long for any drive thru. They should really figure out a better system for that because that issue alone is enough to make you go to the other location. I had never had the chance to try out this burger joint before and I just have to say I will not be returning. Everyone always says how great it is, I was not impressed. I should've ordered from somewhere else. I placed a pickup order online and went inside to get it. The drinks weren't even filled up. I had to fill the cups myself. When I got the food back home it was a mess. I can honestly say that it was definitely not worth my money and at least now I know where I will not eat at again. Have been a fan of The Habit for quite some time. I was disappointed while eating here the other night. First the place was very dirty. Tables not wiped down, trash on some tables for long periods. This location needs to hire more people. I don't even bother with the drive-thru anymore - it takes longer than in-n-out and the line isn't even half as long. The (3) workers are clearly overworked and stressed and unfortunately it translates to their customer service. There's been multiple times that my order was missing something, specifically the drink from the kids menu. And because the workers are so overworked and behind, they don't have the patience to check to see if you have everything and if you're missing something you have to flag them down. I met some friends here for lunch but was a bit disappointed in the vegan options. Their fries at in a shared frier with other non-vegan products (onion rings, green bean fries, sweet potato fries, etc). They have the impossible burger, which the party is vegan but then you would have to customize to make it vegan friendly. They do have a veggie burger (I didn't try it here but I've had it before at one of the stadiums in SD). I wasn't very hungry on my visit so I ordered the garden salad- it was pretty meh (opt for no croutons if vegan). I make better salads at home. I felt as though it was missing something. it had lettuce, carrots, grape tomatoes, red onion, cucumber. Their fountain hibiscus agua fresca was delicious though! I was pleasantly surprised. I went to this Habit restaurant located on 1870 Rancho Oro Rd. Oceanside. This Habit has a drive thru and I placed an order of a double charburger with cheese that's free with over $5.00 order. I ordered a single cheese charburger to satisfy the deal. The girl at the window was nice, but was very busy and had to wait about 5 minutes to pay and 10 more minutes to get my food. The girl apologized for the delay. The double charburger with cheese was very salty. It was almost inedible. The single charburger with cheese was cooked perfectly. It was a disappointment of the inconsistency of the food. I probably will not eat at this location again. The Habit located on El Camino Real is so much better. My overall score is 2 stars . Banana shake does not look like advertised banana shake. Was excited to try either way but had strong taste of artificial banana sweetener, not good. Never been to one of these fast food chains. My friend said she had a burger last week and thought it was good. So we went through the drive up. Server was nice about taking our order. Three charburgers, FF, Green Beans and two shakes. $39.44 Holy Moly. Was it worth it. Not to me. Thank goodness I wasn't paying. The person taking our money was not very friendly. This place will NEVER become a "habit" for me. Been there a few times. Unlike In-N-Out, they don't seem to have systems in place to assure hot food. In the past, I've gotten stone cold tempura green beans, burgers, fries, etc., for consumption inside the restaurant. Today, I watched an eat-in order sit 10+ minutes without anyone being called to pick it up (I have no idea what happened, because I walked away with my order). The burgers taste good, but their version of a double-double is hardly worth the $9-10 they charge (depending on location). All that being said, they seem to be pretty busy, so most people must not care about the lapses I see in quality and service. My daughters and I love The Habit on Murrieta Hot Springs, near Sam's Club and Walgreens. It's a busy place and I usually order from the App. A short wait is not a problem. The current manager is great; smiling, helpful, and professional. The cooking staff is hard working and as fast as they can be. Don't think we've ever had an order mistake. I have had a horrible experience with the App promotions. They don't work and never have. There are "TRICKS" to make promotions work. Ridiculous. Every time a promo fails, the generous managers make it right! And I write a flaming memo to the Habit Corporation, explaining how they failed. They have never responded. But, enjoy The Habit, and be very leery and suspect of their promotions. The other Habit restaurants in this area are equally great. read more

I went yesterday around 11am. I order a patty melt combo and Im used to people at different locations or restaurants to have a mask-like face and bland attitude. In this case Stefania when she took my order was very welcoming and friendly, I didnt know what to order and she suggested me this new meal. I really liked it and felt welcomed. In spite of how busy things were when we walked in, and the fact that there was only two employees here when we got here, we had the most amazing dinner experience . The food was delicious and hot and perfect thanks to the most amazing short order cook I have seen in years named Brianna who I think is the manager also .... Unfortunately I have to leave a two star review. The last 5 times my order was wrong. No fries 3x. I do make bigger orders but 3x. We end up having to share the fires and everyone has to chip in. Then the other two times i got cheese on the hamburger I did not order cheese nor did the receipt reflect that but I am lactose intolerant. Ruined the meal. Reached out for help but nothing. Finally got a chance to stop at this new location to pick up dinner for the fam. Got three Charburgers with cheese and added bacon to all three. This jacks up the price a bit but we thought it was worth it. Also ordered a side of fries and a side of the fried tempura green beans. The fries were good, with a touch of salt which is super important. The green beans were okay, just wish it came with a sauce (i.e. garlic aioli, etc).
