Every time, Sean and his team have been very professional. They are quick to respond and have gone above and beyond to fix things - even coming over on short notice after regular work hours. Sean's team are more than just professional, they are good people. They are easy to talk to and are willing to explain all the details of the problem, potential solutions, and how to prevent it from reoccurring. Called due to great Google reviews & it was 5:30 pm when I realized the basement sewer was backing up and they texted back right after I called, setting up a service call the next morning. They were very knowledgeable and friendly and pulled out a ton of roots. Charged less than any other company I've used for years, and it turns out they offer a lot of other plumbing services, too. Main Drain Sewer replaced a hot water tank for me in March 2024. A connection they installed on top of tank was slowly leaking which caused corrosion of the tank. I texted PJ many times in Nov. & he said he would be out to fix it. He never came. I continued to text, email & call & leave a message (they never answer their phone) - nothing. Today is January 8, 2025 & I have another plumber here to fix their mess at another charge to me. They have very poor customer service. They have lost me as a customer along with my family & friends. I texted them after a no show and they apologized, came that same morning, cleaned everything up and credited me for my troubles. I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how people own up and react to those mistakes that makes the difference. I used this wonderful company in December 2020, when the main sewer line failed at our second home. They were half the price of the major name companies in the area... And 10 times more respectful and considerate. Well, today I needed their services again at my primary residence and was blown away once again by thier professional services and consideration. They are a family business that care about you. They resolved my internal line problem with a water jet cleaning, camera inspection and resolution of another issue they discovered. So happy I called them for the job, now everything is working as it should. The initial blockage was quickly resolved, but they were persistent and thankfully so. Not sure if they've gone out of business but I've contacted them numerous times to get a sewer repaired or replaced based on these positive reviews and they have responded and then disappeared when they told me they'd call. This has happened on 3 occasions. I wanted to use them since my neighbor did last year (work was great as well as the price according to them). If you are overbooked and can't fit me in that's fine, just say that. But they never did so I'm assuming they're out of business. read more

The contractor missed several appointments and left material around work site that I needed to clean up myself. customer service is severely lacking and in need of repair. Their workers are competent and once they perform the work it is functional and adequate. the trick is getting them to make appointments at all. I advise they be used for the big jobs but from what I observed do not call them for the small stuff because they will not show up or leave you hanging. Apparently, they don't need the money by their attitudes toward customers, so let's help them get their wish and find another plumber. read more

I am very disgusted by this company! My grandma had them come out to fix a pipe in our basement two of the guys working on it broke the cap to our drain. My grandma had called to let them know so that it could be fixed and Sean was beyond rude, screamed at her and wouldn't let her get a word in and was completely unprofessional!! I wish my review could be as positive as the others. My sewer was backing up into my basement. Main Drain came out to attempt to clear up the drain. It was getting late by the time they partially cleared the problem. The owner promised they would come back the next day to finish the job. (However I am the idiot who gave them money for a job partially done. Call me over-excited that my family of 5 could shower without flooding our basement.) I have texted and called back and forth with Sean since May 14 (today is May 28). He keeps promising to come or to send someone to help, and then nothing. My sewer is backing up again, I am out $125, and I still have to pay someone else to come back out to finish the job. So disappointed. Apparently I am the only person with a bad experience. If you go with this company I hope your experience is better than mine. UPDATE: Sean contacted me within a few hours of my review. His team came out and cleared up the problem later that day. I can confidently change this review from 1 star to 3 stars, given that the company did eventually respond and get the job done. read more

I would never recommend this company! They were not professional at all. When they were done with their work they left a trailer, a machine (which left a rust stain in our driveway), a pile of gravel, and a giant rock after the work was complete for another 2-3 weeks past when the work was done. It took multiple phone calls a day to get this taken care of. Not to mention there were many days that we had to make multiple phones calls to make sure they came to the house to start their work for the day. They were constantly late and every time we asked for an ETA they said they were almost there and it took them 1-2 hours on average to make it to our house. They were rude to my husband when he was trying to get answers about what was happening with the work. At one point the owner told him to stop bothering him. They didn't seem to know city rules or regulations. There were several nights where they worked past the city regulation for working. This included jack hammering, sawing, raking, and pounding posts. They left the yard a complete mess and there are still rocks and gravel from where they supposedly cleaned up. read more

I had a pretty tough situation at my house. A plumbing contractor had broken a sewer pipe and storm tile and left me hanging with raw sewage running into my basement. Sean and his crew were able to identify the problem and fix it for me in difficult even, at times, unsafe conditions. He was honest, stuck to his price and did what he said he would do. Sean and John are AWESOME. After calling 3-4 places, Sean was the ONLY one who could do the same day cleaning. He and John came, ready to rock, even after 9pm. They were in and out in less than an hour, and everything was taken care of. I had some cleanouts that the previous owner buried so he had to go through one that was in a tight fit corner. They knocked it out clean and efficiently. He gave me some recommendations to go with in the future - I will definitely be using him and recommend to anyone! read more

We called main drain to fix our sewer line in our basement. Not only did they do a great job, their estimate was about half of another plumbing company. I called again today about a frozen sink drain. Shawn, the owner, had a plumber out to my house within an hour. It's good to have a plumber that you can count on! read more

Sean Toma and Matt are honorable people who did a fantastic job which is hard to come by. They jack hammered through the floors and subsequently hand dug over 6 ft down in the house to replace our collapsed lines. I was VERY please with the quick response time Sean gave me, since I had never used his company before. I called him at 1:45 and he showed up by 3:00. It didn't take him long to open my main drain which had just gotten clogged only a few hours earlier. I would definately recommend him. read more

I called Main Drain last week to get my sewer line cleaned out and Sean was able to come out first thing the very next morning. He did a very thorough job and did a good job cleaning up at the end. He also found the time to take a look at couple other issues I was having and fix those. And his price was very affordable compared to other quotes I got.
