Our overall experience for the birthday party at Main Event is good. Both party host and her assistants are great with kids and good at their job. There is a problem we would like to address: Service Fee 12% - the wording of it indicates or suggests this is a fee on services provided by people, similar to tip; but it is not! This fee goes to the facility - Main Event. I found that hard to believe. Isn't the cost (of 300 dollars party package) goes to Main Event for experiences at their facility?... I believe the Service Fee should be given to the servers for the services they provided; and customers have option to tip extra for job well done. read more

This location is great! My kiddo and I had only been to the Katy location prior to our visit here approximately one week ago. I love the setup. As you walk in the entrance, you are greeted by a Customer Service Representative (of sorts) that will explain what the location offers (bowling, billiards, laser tag, and multi ball) as well as how to purchase the reusable ME cards to gain access to play the dozens of arcade games. I love the variety of arcade games available--the VR games looked really cool, but I was kinda disappointed that there weren't any protective gear available for the headset to help prevent the spread of germs. Hopefully they won't mind if you spray it down with a bit of Lysol before use. There are two restaurants to choose from; one is a full-on sit down family restaurants with a variety of food items to choose from while the other is more like a snack bar. I can't wait to go back for laser tag and/or bowling. I would definitely recommend this location for a fun date night (since there are alcoholic beverages available for purchase) and family fun outings. read more

We were at the Tomball location this past Wednesday, celebrating my sons 9th birthday. It was a little last minute, so I called the day of. The staff member who answered, was delightful and very informative! I told her that it was going to be casual and didn't want to book a room. She warmly suggested that there were plenty of options to seat within the dining area! We arrived around 6:30pm, and were immediately given several tables that could accommodate the 12 members of our party. Our server was amazing from the start! Drinks were constantly refilled, food sent out right away and bless her for being so patient with the 5 kids running amok. What really stood out about the experience, however, was this- Around 8:30, unfortunately, a crazy storm blew through and caused the electricity to go out (not to mention, out in several cities). The staff was incredible! Very responsive and quick to assist everyone, and there were a lot of people! My son had started crying because we don't often get together as a family due to busy and hectic work demands, so it was hard for his special night to be cut short. I did my best to console him, but it broke my heart to tell him we had to leave. We were trying to clean up the best we could and my son said he wanted to give the rest of his cake to the staff before we left. When we walked towards the back, he offered it to the team, and we found out that one of the employees was actually celebrating her birthday too! Every single person, ran over the thank him and he was so, so happy for the special attention they were giving him! He is still talking about it! They made it a point to invite him back and He felt like a little celebrity. Another employee, Kat(sp?) even met us at the front door to thank him again and invited us back soon! Absolutely phenomenal to see people caring and encouraging us to come back and "re-do" his birthday. The managers at front were assisting customers to their cars and made efforts to compensate us with vouchers for the laser tag game we had purchased minutes before the power shut off. Im going to try to get the names of our server, the employee who answered the phone, the managers and young lady who's birthday it was, so that we can thank them personally when we get a chance to go again! Unfortunately, my power is still out and might have to wait another week, but we will definitely be back and recommend this location to anyone and everyone! Family platter was a hit for our group, so tasty and so many options. Thank you to the manager for helping us look for our kids watch. I had the worse experience ever and all my guests . First of all the booking was a pain bunch of kids unprofessional. The second thing I booked laser tag for the group they are 7 . My son have been in at least 10 times since it is 5 minutes from home . This day on his birthday they let all the guests in and not him . My son was crying so my husband and the guests intervened to talk to the manager so my husband took my son and went to play video games.Meanwhile they called the police to kick my husband out . The police officer was so nice he said it is a private property and they are allowed to kick u out if they want he can t really do anything. All kids were crying on the cake cutting my husband was not there next to his kid . All kids and parents will never step there again ! read more

This experience was unfortunate. We arrived at 7pm this Saturday and luckily parking was easy. When we arrived we booked bowling which was an 1 & 1/2 wait and also got a playing card for the arcade. We played at the arcade while waiting and had drinks at the bar. I ordered a spiked strawberry lemonade, but it didn't seem to have any alcohol and it was $10. I then ordered a strawberry margarita and it ended up tasting like the 1st drink without alcohol again so there goes another $10. We ended up waiting 2 hours to bowl which wasn't that big of a deal, but the experience at the bowling lane was terrible. The couple with us ordered food and drinks first, the drinks came quickly and their food took the regular amount of time expected. We ordered shortly after them and it took longer to receive our drinks, as they were about 1/2 way done eating we realized we still hasn't received our food. We asked our waiter JJ about it and he said he would go check, but he never came back with an update or the food. It seemed as if he disappeared...like a ghost. By the time we saw him again, I was done waiting, I asked him to please remove the food from the tab and he asked "it never came??" So I explained it didn't and I would like the check. Then he disappeared again and it was about 30 minutes until he returned. He charged us just for the drinks and then stated that the food was sitting at the window, but the ticket had been lost. While that wasn't surprising as it seemed expected it was so disappointing because it could have been sorted out with effective communication between the staff! He tried to justify it by saying that they have other people that run the food, but if you take an order and realize that the food hasn't appeared after an extended period of time, it would be proactive to go check yourself as the main waiter. We finished our game and left. I don't have high expectations at places such as Main Event, but standard service would be nice. read more

Great place to take the kids! Be prepared to stay over an hour in order to play most of the games. Also be prepared to spend some $$. Overall, the place was clean and there was enough space to move around comfortably. My only complaint is that the music is turned up so loud!! Couldn't hear myself think! read more

I was very excited to try this place as a venue for my son's 8th birthday party. I was unimpressed from the get go. I was under the impression that we would have a dedicated space for guests, drinks, presents, etc for a couple of hours. Instead, we had a cubby, no drinks and no organization. We just had to wing it. They ended up giving us a table when it was time for the crappy pizza about an hour into the time. I was also under the impression that we would have a dedicated person. I guess we technically did, but she said "Let me know if you need anything." I was expecting someone to kind of guide us and organize a bit. That's why I paid so much. Don't get me started on the time game cards not keeping points. At the very least, you can give your $2 crap out for prizes for morale. We will not be returning. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but Chuck-E-Cheese does way better with parties. I do not recommend. read more

I can't begin to say how happy I am with the experience we had at Main Event Tomball. We choose ME over Dave & Busters Katy because of their negative reviews and I am so happy we did. Both of my kids were very excited with their game choices, and the price wasn't too bad. We decided last minute to have dinner as well and the service was above and beyond. They sang Happy Birthday for my kid as well as offered him a lil gift which was completely unexpected. We even had a lil mishap with one game that wasn't working correctly but once we told a employee they referred us to a manager that refunded our points no problem. Good fun and good food for a family outing. We have been here several times and always have a great time. The games are good and if anything goes wrong during a game you will get help within 1 minute. Bowling is good here too. Lots of different settings to make bowling a lot more fun than it already is too. Fun for all ages. read more

Went there today for the first time for a friend's 7th birthday party of my son's. It was cool until they wouldn't let the birthday boy into laser tag with the rest of the party bc he was too short. They were rude and inconsiderate bc this same location has allowed him to go play laser tag many times before. They are inconsistent, unprofessional and tons of kids running the place. They even called the cops on the father of the birthday boy and got him kicked out for being upset with the staff, making him miss the cake cutting and the rest of the party. They are the sweetest family and did not deserve this treatment. From this experience we will not return. read more

I visited this location because it's closer to me and I wanted to see the layout of the location and compare it to The Woodlands, Humble and Webster which are the locations I've been to. I have never come across this issue at the other locations, until now...the issue that their employees were on their personal cell phones texting at the ticket desk and instead of putting their phones up and helping me (as they should have and are getting paid to do), I watched them text and patiently waited for help. I was only helped when they decided they were finished with their conversation. I kept thinking, "you get paid for being on your phone? Well, dang, I'd want this job too (enter eye roll)!" It was also hard to find a manager on duty. Anyway, I most likely will not be back to this location as I get better Customer Service at the other locations than I do at this location in Tomball. This location definitely needs to have more Customer Service Training and Communication Skills Training with their employees (new and older). It's sad because some of the games are better at this location than the others, but I will go to where the Customer Service is good. read more

I would say the service was TERRIBLE. But unfortunately we did not receive any service at all. We were seated and told a server would be with us shortly... 25 minutes later nobody had come to our table or even asked for our drink order, mind you it was only us and 2 other tables eating. Finally, we went back to the kitchen to ask somebody for service and they said they would grab a manager for the inconvenience. Another 15 minutes past and nobody came to our table so once again we went back to the kitchen to ask for assistance. When we went back there, the lazy servers were all sitting around watching the football game instead of helping guests. Mind you a manager never came to our table the entire time we were there. Then when they finally sent someone to take our order, we only ordered an appetizer and a impossible burger, it took another 45-1hr to get our food and the impossible burger came 20 minutes before our appetizer.... Again do not waste your money here it is expensive just to get shitty service. read more
