UPDATE: July 2019 - 1 star Daughter and I watched Spider-Man Far From Home movie; got a side showing of "Roaches Too Close For Comfort" as 2 good size bugs crawled on the wall right next to my daughter. Immediately, I understood #1: why the movie was $5.50 each & #2 I was not eating anymore popcorn, which btw, they told me mid-movie they no longer give a same day courtesy refills on the souvenir popcorn bucket. This makes the $10 sticker price useless if you pay EVERY refill. The Large bag offers same day refills for $8. Obviously if the bug problem persists, they won't have to worry about people wanting to eat what they're serving. 3 star review May 2019 Celebrated kids' LDOS by watching the new Aladdin. Ticket window was unstaffed, bought tix at concession stand. $5.50 per person is fair admission cost. $10 popcorn bucket deal is great; when you bring it back, $4.50 gets you 2 refills per day. Value for our large family. Theater 8 was tiny but had a 5 rows that offered 6 seats each. Sadly, I didn't pick the last row and paid the price listening to a kid behind us eat popcorn LOUDLY 2+ hours. Screen and sound were good quality; some seats were a tad untidy (old popcorn in the seats). Lone gripe? VERY POOR AT&T PHONE SERVICE. It's virtually a bunker, perhaps done intentionally? Still, it's nice to have a working device in an emergency.

This theatre is located next to the NEX at Norfolk. You must have someone with you that is Active Duty , DOD or has a CAC or Retired Vet card. They show the newest movies. Always have the best fresh popcorn and hot dogs. The admission fees are amazing - $5.50 for adults. The prices at the snack stand are a bit pricey but all around still cheaper than a regular movie theatre. We always get a combo meal- tonight we got the 2 hot dogs with a large drink and a large popcorn with 2 drinks and it came to 29.00$ When you walk in to your right they have some arcade games and shuffle board game. Some 3D arcade games as well. Plenty of space for those busy nights. The wait has never been long here. The employees are always very helpful. I enjoy how clean it always seems to be also. When it's hot outside it's always cool inside. That's a bonus! During the summer I noticed they have kid movies for free so definitely check out their website ! https://www.phoenixtheatres.com/location/4111/Main-Gate-Movies-10-Phoenix-Theatres-Showtimes

I thought it was a great spot to go to see a movie. It wasnt anything special you wouldn't find anywhere else, but the prices were awesome for what everyone wants from a movie theater. They had a special going on where you could buy a combo and get free candy all for $14. Our tickets cost $6.50 each because we had our military ID cards. The pop corn was, well delicious movie pop corn like anywhere else. The lights in the theater were not on while walking in nor exiting so that posed some problems for finding a seat and leaving. All in all the seats were comfortable and there was plenty of leg room to stretch your legs all the way out.

I come here at least twice a month and sometimes once a week. I love this movie theater because they offer $5 movies year round for nearly all new releases. Also, the people who work there are friendly and helpful. They have a really good deal where if you buy a huge $10 plastic bucket, you can bring it with you to refill at each movie for $3.50. This place is really good for a cheap date night because for a movie for two + a huge popcorn and large drink you will pay $19.25 (no tax). The reason why I have to give this theater 2 stars is because I have had multiple issues with one of the employees here. Every time I come and am helped by this individual there is always an unpleasant experience and most recently it really got out of hand. I have addressed it with a manager and the general manager of this establishment, so I will edit this review if my future experiences with this theater change.

    One of the lovely seats.

WHAT! I've been living here over 3 years and haven't reviewed this place yet?…read more To me, Naro Cinema is a little piece of home. I'm from Los Angeles where art house films can be seen at art house theaters or established theaters like AMC or Regal. Naro is THE place I can count on to play awards campaign films, but they'll also have an incredible showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show :) The staff is super friendly and you can tell they love to be there - they're my kind of people who love film. Ticket prices are cheap (I usually buy them online) and food prices are reasonable. I love coming here because theaters are dying and places like this need to continue living! So please, support cinema art and watch movies at the Naro.

You're asked for your ticket and even when mine was bought online (digital), they could look up the transaction that I bought online by just giving my name! The popcorn was not warm and can't taste the butter they asked if I wanted some. They have home baked goods like brownies and baklava, wonder whose home they came from, no labels of ingredients or when they're good until! Neat part is that there is a balcony section. My first time here, had always wanted to go in the almost 7 years that I relocated to VA Beach from NoVA/DC area. Speaking of which the draw of this theatre is that they show independent films, love it! Wish they have more choices though, only two film showings per day. Am watching Black Bag today, should be a good spy thriller movie starring Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender.

Returned in 2026, and they do not have the reclining seats anymore, which was the main reason I chose this location. Other than that, it's mostly your typical movie house. Concessions are ridiculously overpriced, moviegoers are obnoxiously loud, and the trailers last forever. It took nearly half an hour for one film to start because of all the commercials advertising how great AMC is. It was very ironic as it didn't do them any favors in proving that claim. However, I have had a good time here. The lobby is big and they have a bar in case you want to drown your sorrows over having spent so much money and having to sit through a sucky film. They also have claw machines where you can get little toys if you pay for tokens. I took the gamble and won a rubber turtle with an affliction and a soccer ball on its shell. Maybe I just like hanging out in movie theaters, but I did enjoy my time here each visit. I'd go back if I was in the area or if I wanted to go a little way out from where I live if there's something playing at this one I want to see that badly. I like being able to put mustard on my popcorn. For anyone curious: the films I went here to see were, Jeepers Creepers 3 & EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.

Having never screened Lost on a big screen, I jumped at the chance to finally check out Suffolk's Regal while seeing one of (imo) cinema's great films about love, loneliness, and longing. I grabbed a ticket via the Regal app - a simple process that takes little time to complete. For me, the toughest part about driving out to Regal Harbour View is it's far... real far... with tolls (I'm coming from Norfolk). At the same time, I got stuck at the Downtown Tunnel (bridge lift), which almost kept me from arriving on time. Harbour View may be the nicest Regal in the area. It originally opened in November 2000 as a part of the Consolidated Theaters company and didn't officially become a Regal until 2008 (Regal acquired Consolidated Theaters). Based on that timeline, you can tell by glancing at the lobby that its design and architecture is not a Regal concept. That's actually a good thing because the lobby, despite being a little cramped, looks cozy and welcoming. I was greeted quickly upon entering - the ticket taker scanned my ticket on my phone and informed me which theater to go and where it was located. I decided to pick up some snacks and the employee there was just as pleasant and friendly. The theater where I saw Lost looked exactly like a theater at the Regal Strawbridge. I'm assuming there were some renovations made to the theaters themselves, because this specific theater looked brand new. There were 3 other moviegoers in the theater with me. I absolutely loved seeing Lost in Translation on a big screen and enjoyed this experience at this Regal. I hope to visit again soon, despite this location being quite the trip. Thank you, Regal Harbour View! JV

It is a huge venue, ample snacks area, kiosk ticket purchasing and roomy restrooms. There is online ticket purchasing and seat selection. One time though I misunderstood the seats I chose and embarrassingly thought someone was in my seats. Anyway, is the actual theatres that are epic. The seats almost fully recline, with an attached swivel table and cup holders. There is no one's head blocking the view in front of you. The screen is a good size to enjoy the film. I guess they have HD screenings I haven't checked out. If you are on a date you can move the arm rest to get cozy, or if the film is a giant yawn you can fall asleep and not bother anyone! One time I had to sit closer to the screen than I prefer, but even that seat was fine for enjoying the flick. If you still like going out to movies, taking a stroll after around the fountain or hitting up one of quite a few nearby eateries, you can make quite an event of it! Or you can just pig out on a large popcorn and enjoy the film before heading home. Some theatres can't complete with home viewing these days, so if you do venture out to the movies, make it worthwhile with this movie watching experience.
