She nursed one of my fur babies back from the brink of death. My dog had to stay at the hospital for 5 days and would only eat boiled chicken. Although the doc is a vegan, she would prepare the chicken for her every day and would call me to come in when she wouldn't eat so I could coax her into it. AND it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Her fees are very reasonable, the office is clean and the staff is kind and friendly. I consider them a part of my family and highly recommend their services...

I do not have enough good things to say…read more I have now been here twice with very different outcomes, though both ended exactly as they "should." The first time was 6 years ago with my dog who was bitten by a venomous snake on a hike. By all accounts, he should have died. They absolutely saved his life and kept me updated every step of the way (it was covid, so I couldn't even go in with him). He had to stay overnight for 2 nights and the vet even called me at 10pm with progress reports. They gave me an estimate range, and while it's expensive to save your dog from a copperhead snake bite, the bill actually came in at the very lowest end of the range. They were phenomenal. My dog fully recovered and is happy and healthy. Today, I visited again with my 15 year old cat who needed to be put down suddenly and our local vet was closed. Once again, they could not have been more thoughtful in how they handled us and our beloved cat. The vet explained things clearly and sensitively. Immediately, they offered to sedate him in the exam room with us so that he wouldn't have to be scared and taken away. They brought in a bed for him and we were able to be with him and pet him until the end. It was the least stressful it could have been for our cat. Every staff member was sensitive, respectful, and accommodating. I'm incredibly grateful. Two of the worst days of our lives could have been much, much worse without the care we received.

During our visit, the vet explicitly advised me that blood work was necessary to properly diagnose my pet. I was given a financial estimate that included this blood work, which I explicitly agreed to and authorized. At discharge, I was charged the full amount of that estimate. Because no one discussed the lab findings with me, I assumed the results were still pending and that I needed to call back. When I called for the results, I was shocked to be told that the blood work was never actually performed. To make matters worse, the staff insultingly claimed that I had "declined" the service--which makes absolutely no sense given that I paid for it based on the required care outlined by their own vet. When I tried to address this blatant error, the front desk staff was incredibly condescending and dismissive, giving off a "deal with it" attitude. Charging a pet owner for diagnostic procedures that were never performed--and then shifting the blame onto the client--is entirely unacceptable. Check your receipts carefully if you bring your animals here.

They treated my ferret but I ended up later going to an emergency vet in Paramus NJ bc he wasn't doing great after we got home. If I hadn't utilized west end and had him starting fluids and hand fed, he likely would not be here. Thanks to their treatment and ability to fit me in, Slinky is now doing well and thriving.

Well I decided to stop in after stopping at the smoke shop that used to be next door and in search of some premium dog food for our dog. Boy was I shocked at not only at the selection of quality dog foods they had and prices but the customer service that I received. I can count on my hand the number of times I have stepped into a pet shop and received the kind of customer service I received during my visit at this shop. Customer service is top notch!! An employee helped me select the right food for my dog, even providing me samples to try before I committed to a large bag of dog food that my dog might not otherwise like. They have a surprisingly large selection of foods, treats and other goodies in a very small store front. This small shop gives new meaning to, "good things come in small packages."

Our cat got into a fight and wound up with a cut on the side of his nose. It turned into a very…read moreswollen abscess and within an afternoon one of his eyes was almost completely covered by the swelling. Our daughter had the car, so I called Dr. Barbara MacMullan and she came over after she was done working her day job, at a local Vet's office. For $50 she did a full exam, weighed our cat, clipped his nails, examined his ears, eyes and mouth and talked to us at length about the options. We didn't want to lance the abscess because it was so close to the eye, so she prescribed amoxicillin. Two days later our cat was on the mend. We didn't have to take him anywhere! No stress. And a $10 savings from going to the Vet. A Vet who makes house calls is great. A Vet who makes thorough house calls and follows up is amazing. And Dr. MacMullan definitely falls into the latter category. :)

I brought my brand new mini schnauzer to get all of his vac and checkups. When you arrive they give you a print out of an estimate of what the appt might cost. Then they take your dog in the back and and come out w a completely diff estimate with all the things the vet thinks u need now. So you agree and after they do all the work they come out and say he needs a few more things. Two visits I spent over $1000 on unneeded fecal tests etc. now is the hook, line and sinker. I have my dogs flea med on auto ship from chewy and Bansfield just rejected the most recent delivery. When I called back, they said my dog needed another test b4 they would approve it. So one, they r holding the medication hostage and my dog will now miss a month of his needed meds, and two, they actually think I'm coming back for the heart worm test. I called Tara's Mobil and her test is $30 and Bansfield was going to be $130. It's disgraceful what they r doing and I clearly let the woman on the phone know. Extremely unethical business practices. They are all about the money and couldn't care less about your pet and this scenario is proof.

I love my vet in Sone Cottage but recently it's hard to get an appointment with him, so I decided to try another vet. Well the vet and the receptionist in this office are still with the issue of Covid. I don't mind wearing a mask, but I'm not giving you my dog for you to take in the building without me! First lets sit down, talk about my dogs history and being a new patient let me get a feel about you as a doctor. This man came out of the building asking two or three questions in the parking lot, when I didn't want to give him the dog, he asked me to get leave. What kind of doctor does that? I traveled 25 min just to get there, I would never give him my dog not knowing what he's going to do! Never, have I encounter such a rude and uncaring doctor, if that's what he was, never introduced himself!
