The place has a lot of character, the house, the furniture and decor. But it wasn't very clean. At coffee in the morning I noticed 4 or 5 dirty spoons in the tray but it was the first coffee of the day. The half and half was bad, it left specks in our coffee. super sweet and inviting B&B!!! we arrived late, and were greeted outside. Cherie is so sweet, and made us feel at home. The home is so neat!! Every room is decorated like victorian style!! all linens smelled clean and fresh. breakfast was delicious pancakes, bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, oj and coffee. its like we were staying at our favorite Aunts home ; definitely recommend if you are in the are area or not, and want a neat place to stay!! read more

I had the pleasure of staying when I visited Glasgow, Kentucky. The Bnb is literally steps away from downtown so its totally convenient and also a short drive to Mammoth Cave. The rooms are super cozy. The owner Cherie was very friendly and offered suggested of nearby locally owned places to visit. The stay included a home cooked breakfast and is the perfect way to meet and greet other guests. We chatted over coffee, pancakes, bacon, eggs and fresh fruit. I feel the rates are very reasonable especially since this delicious breakfast is part of the deal! Give this lovely bed and breakfast a shot. Located just a two minute walk from Glasgow's square, this little B&B is a wonderful place for anyone looking for a cozy and relaxing spot to stay the night. Upon my husband and I's arrival, we walked in the kitchen to find the owner, Cheryl, and her sweet pup LuLu making us homemade cookies (which were delicious). The B&B was charming and clean. We both slept great! In the mornings, I enjoyed reading in the rocking chairs on the porch with a cup of coffee. Breakfast was served at 8:30, and it was delicious! The first morning we were served eggs, bacon, pancakes and fruit salad. On Sunday, we had homemade sausage gravy with biscuits, eggs, potatoes, tomatoes and fruit. All in all, whether you're just passing through or staying to visit Mammoth Cave (which is only a 20 minute drive away), you simply can't beat this B&B. Do yourself a favor, and book it. We had a beautiful room,furnished with a comfortable bed, and beautiful antiques. She served a beautiful breakfast and was very accommodating with our food allergies. Found this place through Priceline and we ended up spending the night in this lovely town, to go to Mammoth Caves the next day. Karen and Gary were very nice and friendly. Room was quaint. Breakfast was good (Gary). I doubt we will be around here anytime soon, but if we did we would definitely stay here again. read more

I fear I'm losing my critical edge with all these positive reviews, but I would be amiss if I didn't rave about this B&B. Warning: It is in a "moist" county meaning you can buy adult beverages at restaurants but not in gas stations or grocery stores. Also, there aren't any restaurants near the location itself. You're by the cop shop and the funeral home (which is the biggest funeral home I've ever seen). Additionally, we had zero phone service in this area. None of this is the fault of the B&B itself, however. The owners, Karin and Gary, are incredibly sweet and nice but they're not suffocating. They greet you on chek-in, cook and server breakfast, and chat when you see them but they're not keeping track of where you're going. The rooms are large and decorated in a Victorian meets Country style that is era appropriate to the house. The sitting room and dining room are similarly decorated. As a fan of the 19th century, I really appreciated the subtle touches they put into the house. The bed was super comfortable. And there was a tv in the room, although we didn't use it. They offer free wi-fi which was great because as I said above, we had no phone service whatsoever in the county and we're with Verizon. The breakfast is at 8:30 which is a wee bit later than we wanted to eat but it was worth it. You're only about 20 minutes from Cave City and Mammoth Cave from this location and it's nicer and more reasonably priced than the hotels in the area. read more

I am currently in Glasgow, Ky to visit my parents and decided to stay at the Main Street Bed and Breakfast. It's my first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast. It has def been a stellar experience so far. I love the room I'm staying in. The building was built in 1810. It has original flooring which is awesome. There is exposed brick and beams. Very homey and inviting. Cherie- the host is super friendly and an awesome cook. Her little dog, Lulu, is really cute and sweet. I nicknamed her Little Miss Lulu. I'm staying for 2 more days so I can't wait to see what she will make for breakfast. Each room has its own private bath. The rooms are nice and cool for sleeping. I slept awesome. Beds are comfy, and the sheets are super soft. There is some road noise, but not horrible. Great water pressure in the shower. Just be aware- there is no elevator for carrying your luggage upstairs. Again, the place was built in 1810. The outside area has pretty flowers. She just told me today that she is getting a chicken coop so she will have fresh eggs available. Much of the food provided is fresh from the garden. read more

Awesome bed and breakfast just off of downtown Glasgow. It's within walking distance to the Plaza Theater. Gary and Karin were very friendly and helpful. Room was awesome and perfect! Bed was sooo comfy, and it was very clean. Breakfast was delish, and we met some great people. Would definitely recommend to others! This place is the absolute best! It's very much like home for us since we are out of state. The historic features of house is what ties the experience all together. The host was very helpful with near by restaurant recommendations and what was going on in the evening in town. We decided to stay in and have a few glasses of wine and take in the exposed brick and wood beams. The breakfast that was provided was light but filling with options to fit all dietary needs. Our first B&B experience and we loved it! The owners are accommodating and the room was very comfortable. We were in the Dickinson and slept me, my husband, and daughter nicely. Breakfast the next morning was really good and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. Not much around the town but with Yelp and a GPS we found places to eat. I found Main Street Bed & Breakfast a few weeks back on a short trip to anywhere but Nashville. If you like small towns, history and old homes, this is your place. Owners Gary and Karin were sure to make our stay five star. The home was decorated just right to fit its rich history, and the rooms were clean and comfy. The home is a block off the old town square where there are some antique shops that would drive any picker mad! Great stuff so pack lightly. Also, there's an old theater off the square that hosts well known acts. The home's history and interior makes up for its somewhat stark outside appearance. I believe it was originally built as a schoolhouse in 1810 (I think). Our room was stocked well, the water was hot, and breakfast was great! I highly recommend Main Street Bed & Breakfast for small town, historic charm. read more

Stayed here for an anniversary trip to Mammoth Cave. It was about a 25 minute drive to the cave entrance. Glasgow is a great town to stay in and this B&B was very nice and comfortable. We never actually got to meet the owners (someone else prepared breakfast each morning) so that was a let down, but our room was great (Greer room) and the breakfast was good. We will definitely stay again when we revisit the cave. The B&B location is perfect to walk to historic downtown Glasgow for dinner, shops, and the Plaza Theater. read more
