I came in for a sleep appliance appointment. I had previously gone to Stanford health for a sleep apnea study and appliance. It was a pain to use the sleep apnea machine because it was uncomfortable and looked awful. I saw Dr. Nottel and he was excellent. He had great bedside manner and did my imaging in office. It was quick and easy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The sleep apnea appliance has significantly improved my sleep quality and helped with my alignment! But after Dr. Nattel assured me of the ability to exactly replicate my existing denture via new technological processes, I decided to give it a try. Poor communications on care plan. Refused a routine cleaning and pushed a deep cleaning instead. Never had this happen before.

I decided to go to Mexico to get all my crowns done. I had been watching YouTube videos and beauty bloggers talking about how much cheaper it is, and you get the same results. That's an absolute lie, and I want to caution anyone who is thinking of going to a dentist office in Mexico. I went to the dental hub of Mexico, los Algadones, also known as dental city. They have over 60 offices, I did my research and picked the one with the best reviews. I had all top 10 done. My gums were so inflamed from the crown glue they used, and crowns that didn't fit my mouth. Main Street dental had to cut back my gums several millimeters. They were bulky and did not fit my mouth shape. Of coarse they didn't! how could you expect a good result is 3 days! A weekend in Mexico isn't enough time for a good quality outcome. I was so disappointed, my mouth stunk all the time from bacteria build up. The crowns were not set properly, my gums were inflamed. They didn't numb me properly and it was the most painful thing I have ever done in my life... and I'm covered head to toe in tattoos and piercings. When I tried to get ahold of them, because 2 came off... guess what. No answer, and it's another country. Not exactly a quick trip to have things fixed. I later found out all their good reviews were fake. And most are for any dental office in Mexico. They don't have the same standards as America, they don't have the same after care, they don't have the same medicine, they don't call and check up on you and make sure you are liking your results. They don't schedule a follow up appointment, it's boom boom bam, your done go back to America, good luck. please don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise. I came to Main Street dental and my dentist was fabulous. He told me exactly what was wrong, how we were going to fix it, and together we created the smile I've been wanting all along. He was fantastic, anytime I had a question, he had an answer. He explained every step, and showed me physically what needed to be done. I sent pictures to him and they designed teeth for me based off the type of smile I liked. It was 2 years of having the uncomfortable, smelly, bulky crowns, and thanks to Main Street dental I finally have a great smile. I could not be happier, and please please please... I understand we all want to save some money. But dental work is not something you should cheap out on. Or anything medical for that matter. I am so glad I have an amazing smile now, I hardly smiled for 2 years because my previous crowns were horrible and looked like chicklets. My teeth look fabulous, my breath doesn't reek like something died in my mouth anymore, and my gums are actually healthy and pink now! I have been going here for over a year now and Tracie and Dr. A are the best! I even drive out of the way to come here, but I won't get my dental care anywhere else. Tracie does a great job every time she cleans my teeth, and I had a huge improvement in my gums after she recommended a laser treatment on me. I have been to many and their bedside manner is caring and considerate - They ask, " are you ok if we put the chair back" , " are you ready for us to numb your mouth ?" The front office experience was awful. Front office person was very argumentative and extremely loud. The front office person didn't know, refused contact the dental insurance or understand benefits. Went to Main Street Dental for a scheduled cleaning. After waiting 30 mins I was about to leave when I was finally called. After my cleaning the dentist came in but did not examine and repeated my care plan to the hygienist. This was the care plan created 6 months ago that required a crown, night guard or sleep study was suggested. As I was checking out I noticed I had splatter over my eyeglasses and attempted to clean them. When I got to my car and looked in the mirror I had toothpaste around my mouth! I couldn't believe the hygienist let me walk out looking like a crackhead! Cleaning on Wednesday had a flight out of town for the holidays and cracked a tooth on Saturday! I'm on vacation and I have what feels like a hole the size of the Grand Canyon! Can't see a dentist, it's the holidays so I had to wait until after the new year. Guess what...I needed a crown but on the tooth identified by the dentist at Main Street Dental. Went to another dental office and started the procedure for a crown on a different tooth! I felt pressured to have work done but I had just had a full mouth deep cleaning with my periodontist. In the past my dentist and periodontist worked together and wasn't interested in duplicating services. read more

Located in the heart of Verrado this place is good if you live in the community and need some emergency dental work done but I would look elsewhere if you need a good dentist. My family and I used this place for the first year we lived in Verrado but have since found a new dentist after my wife went to get a second option on a root canal (2 weeks after her biannual cleaning) and the dentist she got the second opinion from said her teeth had tarter build up and she was due for a cleaning. The dentist claims I have "nerve pain" doesn't do anything to help me in any way but he doesn't hesitate to try and sell me on Invisalign and night guards and whatever else he could make money on. Making an appointments for my kids over the phone was easy enough. And checking in at the front desk wasn't too bad. Not exactly welcoming or friendly though. But after my daughter's appointment, the woman that didn't bother to greet me or introduce herself when we arrived was eager to schedule a follow-up appointment for my daughter for fillings. I asked if my daughter had cavaties. The woman with an attitude proceeded to tell me that the dentist said she needed fillings. I again asked if she had cavities. She did not answer my question and I felt very uncomfortable. She proceeded to schedule my daughter for fillings. I left feeling uneasy. I did not like the snippy comments or attitude of the person running the front desk. So I called and canceled the appointment for my daughter and the appointments I had made for myself and my husband. I called another dentist on Indian School road near my house. My husband went today for his appointment and loved everyone there. No attitudes like Main Street Dental in Verrado. read more
