My mom and I stopped in for a quick bite so we sat at the bar and had a bowl of the yummiest kale mushroom soup. It was rich and earthy and delicious. We also shared a half order of the Spring Fettuccine...what a lovely broth sauce. It was more than enough. We had a glass of rose and tried a taste of the Polish Martini which was so fresh and sweet but not too sweet. We we're very well attended and loved to hear the staff descriptions of the food and beverages. I will absolutely go back. read more

Not a bad place to go eat, the food was good. I did enjoy the fresh grown vegetables. You can for sure taste the difference. The price is a little pricey for the area. But won't stop me from coming in a again. To me the staff is a what gives the place the best feel. We had an amazing server who was perfect. I will suggest pumping up your ticket times. Not a huge thing because it's not the place you come for a speedy dinner, but 45+ is a little long for me. But one of the best trained staffs I've seen in a long time. read more

Excellent food once again. Tried the Buttermilk Fried Chicken ( adult chicken strips). They were excellent and the sides that accompanied it were exceptional. My husband ordered a burger and it was one of the best he's ever had. We did order the bread pudding for dessert since it was our anniversary. It was served with real vanilla ice cream. I'd recommend it and everything we had. A great place for a meal if you're wanting to try something other than bar and grill food. If you haven't given Main Street Farmer a try yet, you should. Very good food, the meat and cheese tray was a great appetizer and I would highly recommend it. I will be returning for sure, the food was great. We went for late lunch and it was great. Our waiter was good but he seemed preoccupied, my wife wanted something left off her salad and he forgot to check it before he brought out the food. Fries here are amazing! Cuban was tasty. Kiddo didn't like the chicken tenders, he's used to the crap in the bag and not a fresh real chicken (with homemade breading). I thoroughly enjoyed the sangria and my chicken sandwich was a little average. read more

Great atmosphere, lighting, music, wine list and the sublime food rivals the downtown Minneapolis restaurant scene. I have had the pleasure of being served by the bar manager the last 3 times I visited the restaurant. He is incredible!! Ask him what the special is and than challenge him to tickle your tastebuds! The food is always fantastic (do NOT miss the salmon), and ambiance is sexy for couples. Both kitchen and bar programs are on point for a date night (though I have brought my children to the restaurant and they have enjoy themselves as well). Food is pretty good. The price is really high for the area of restaurants. This is due to lack of options within a small city. The atmosphere is always loud due to the design inside but is manageable. The drink menu is nice and has a good selection for a full bar. Since covid the menu has changed and prices have gone up by 25% or more depending on the item you choose. Some of the items have a hidden price, the price literally says market price. In a large city or more upscale area this is perfectly acceptable but in a small city like this makes no sense. I made homemade guacamole as an example cost me less than $10 at the local grocery store. I had guacamole here same day for a dinner appetizer and it cost me almost $20. I understand you pay for the experience of a restaurant and they have their overhead. But when I asked why it was so high the answer was avocados were expensive? read more

The place was nearly empty and we were simply told "we don't have a table available". This place is way over rated. We had a burger (which was the size of a White Castle burger) not good at all dripping with blood. The fries were way over salted. Also had the fried chicken, the chicken was good but there barbecue sauce is terrible. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was not edible, and way to much garlic on the green beans. First time there and last St. Michael still needs a good restaurant this isn't it. Also way over priced for what you get. read more

Tries hard to be hip but the food is over cooked and hence dried out. The flavors fall flat with an over reliance on onions.

I have to admit I was not blown away by the food. I ordered the sloppy joes and I did send it back. It was an odd combination of being greasy yet dry. The waitress did seem slightly annoyed but asked if I wanted something else. I said I would try the burger. I was not impressed with it either - it was greasy and the only flavor i could taste was Worcestershire sauce, but I did not want to risk a more unpleasant experience by telling the waitress I did not like it either, so I ate it. Plus, I was having a wonderful time talking with my friend so just dealt with this. My friend ordered the schnitzel and said it was just ok. We also ordered the nachos as an appetizer and she did not care for them, I thought they were just ok. On the way home we talked about what exactly we thought the problem was with our food. And honestly - the consensus was that it was very bland - there just wasn't much flavor. I thought the interior decor and ambience was fabulous, just not the food. read more

One of the worst places I have eaten and I have over 15 years experience in the food industry. The only thing slightly edible were the burgers (which were tiny) and the fries. The kids tacos were dry and over cooked, pastas were watery and flavorless, Caesar salad was really nasty and the bread basket was a bunch of dried out bread. Even after complaining and barely eating any of it we were still charged $85. Not sure why they have good reviews. read more

Overall, the food was decent. I don't mind paying good money for good food. However, the service was sub-par, in that I had to ask for my drink twice after waiting for 30 minutes and we were never offered drink specials as were the other tables and service was very slow. I do think the mere fact we had kids impacted our service, which is sad given they ate off the adult menu. My steak wasn't cooked as ordered, but no one even asked. We did like the flavor combos, but next time we go back it will be for burgers or the chicken, which was fantastic. read more
