On a road trip with my son from AZ to WA and stopped in Clarkston on night 3. We wanted to eat…read moresomewhere with a good view and found Rooster's Waterfront Restaurant on Yelp. We got right in and asked to be seated on the patio as the sun would be going down over the next hour. The patio is right up on the Snake River offering a great view for our dinner! Walking through the interior was also quite the visual feast...a handful of large rooms and a large bar with a bunch of motley decorations everywhere. The nicest looking room was a rotunda in the back but nobody was sitting in there...not sure if it's for private events only. The menu had a lot of choices...which in my years of dining usually means they offer quantity over quality. And that came to fruition as we received and ate our meals. I ordered the Hazel's Famous Fried Shrimp and my son got the Cod N Chips. These were the smallest shrimp I've ever seen in the restaurant...the broccoli dwarfed it! The breading was also awful as it was soggy and falling off the shrimp. If these are famous, I'd hate to see the shrimp that didn't get the part. My son said his cod was 'alright' but said the tartar sauce was the worst tartar sauce he's ever had. It looked like curdled 2% milk. The table we sat at on the patio was tiny and barely held the two dinner plates. The chairs were also cheap metal and my back and bottom were sore after an hour. At least our server was friendly...and when she asked 'how was your meal' when picking up our dishes, we said it wasn't great and she replied 'yeah...' and walked back inside. That was actually a pretty funny way to end the meal.

The upstairs has the kitchen and dining area. But there's also the downstairs, basement dining and bar which practically lends to a speakeasy vibe. Each time I've visited I've opted for the bar, as I'm usually dining solo. The menu is small, but the food is done so well. I also look at the specials. One time they offered an Ivory King Salmon, I've never heard of it before and looked it up. Apparently it's very rare and makes up on 5% of King Salmon species. Super glad I ordered it, it's buttery, mild flavor reminded me of black cod. But their other menu items are nothing to ignore. I've had the roasted marinated lamb, and they also offer $15 dollar pasta Wednesdays. Recently I had the Linguine with meatballs, it tasted homemade - like the Nonna's were in the kitchen! IF I have space for dessert, I usually opt for the gallette or cheesecake, both are worthy options to end a satisfying meal. My only complaint is that Saute' on 6th is only open from Wed - Sat, so I have to plan my visits...

For dinner I decided on some smaller plates, I ordered the shrimp crostini which was very enjoyable and just the right amount. Additionally I ordered the tomato bisque, I really enjoyed the presentation since the server came out with a small carafe of the soup and poured it into the bowl at the table, which was fun and delicious! For dessert I tried the espresso crème brûlée which was good, the top had the right sugar crack and snap, which was yummy! Will definitely be back, the service and ambiance was really enjoyable as well.

First I was served the house bread with garlic butter - which was the best thing I had. For my entree, I ordered the Braised beef Pappardelle which comes with a house salad. I can only say I'm glad I filled up on the bread, as I was served an entree with burnt onions and mushrooms. I had to pick at the meal to make sure I didn't get any burnt items. I will say, I did not mention this to the staff, at this point I didn't think it was necessary as there was enough to feed 2 people. Anyway, I don't think I will return when I'm in the area...

I love this place! Seasons is one of the best vegan-friendly restaurants in the Valley. The Huckleberry BBQ burger minus the bacon and mayo with the Boca patty add-on is amazing with the orange salad and onion poppyseed dressing on the side. The fried green beans are outstanding, and the fries are to die for. They can mix a mean drink here, too. The atmosphere and decor are very nice, and the restaurant is never loud or over-packed. The staff and owner are always friendly and have never gotten my order wrong to date! If you are a meat-lover, don't worry, they have plenty of that here too. My friends have remarked that the bite-size steaks are great. Thanks for the awesome food, Seasons! read more

The last time time I ate there I asked for the hamburger wrapped in lettuce (Keto diet) - they charged a little more, but did it right. The only place so far in the valley that did it right in 15 years... If you are on the diet you would understand. My wife was happy with her order too (not on keto diet).
