The Customer service is awful! I ordered a vest on Nov 30th to be overnighted for hunting season and it never arrived. They never contacted me until I reached out to them. Finally 4 days later they tell me that the color vest I ordered was not available (I ordered black) They said its available in Navy. So I immediately respond saying send the Navy! Now it's 5 days later and my overnight order has still not arrived! Not even a follow up email. NEVER NEVER order from this place! The service at this store is horrible. I paid a lot of money for a pair of warming gloves and when I went to put the battery in one of the gloves the connection was not there. Placed an order over 30-days ago and it still show pending. You can't talk to a live person, every extension goes to voicemail and I have never received a call back. I also sent several emails and no reply. I foolishly recently placed a second order with 2nd day shipping, and same results. In both cases my credit card was charged, so now I have to dispute the charges and find the products elsewhere. What a pain!!!!! Save your time and energy and find another retailer. Update to my review - my 2nd Day order shipped, but they sent it by ground. I had to use Google Trusted Store services to get their attention, but when they finally responded they told me that the $30 I paid for shipping a pair of gloves was for ground shipping (even though my invoice clearly says 2nd Day Air and they offer ground shipping for $5 on their web site). Do not buy from this company. I ordered an item on October 18, but still did not receive it on or before November 23, despite assurances that I would by customer service representatives. When I called, I was told it would be another 10-14 business days. This was a birthday gift, so I had to order a similar item from another company with expedited one-day delivery. The warming store is at best an incompetent company. At worst, it may be a fraudulent company. Still today on it's website it says that the item will ship by November 17. The Warming Store is billed as a small Mom and Pop store. That isn't an excuse for horrible service nor failure to ship. I've had contact with a representative of the store, regarding when my order would ship but the first reply was nonsensical, mistaken and also offered that should order something else. (NOT!) I've asked for a refund and to cancel the order, luckily I paid with PayPal so have also opened up a dispute thru that company. I just wanted to spend a couple minutes to give my (good) review of The Warming Store after seeing so many horrible ones. I had a return in process when I read some of these bad reviews and wondered if I would receive my refund. I received my refund, no problem, and also received the exchange which I requested. I agree that they have been somewhat slow, but they may have been overwhelmed during the holiday season. Not sure what happened, but I had a good experience and I got a wonderful product/s, a heated (Mobile Ansai) vest and a back-up battery. This has been a dream come true for me, because although I'm in Seattle and it doesn't have the harsh weather conditions that some places have, I am a cold wimp and I am freezing most of the time. With my vest I don't need to be so bundled up and it makes it more likely that I will take walks outside. I ordered an item Nov 28, 2017 from their store because this item was shown to be on back order at other stores, but not at the Warming Store. Turns out they only tell you it's on back order AFTER THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY and AFTER YOU INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR ITEM. And then they tell you it will ship in 7-10 business days. 13 Business days later it's still not shipped and "promise" it will in the next 7-10 business days. When you try to get the name of the person you are speaking with they only give you a first name, won't let you speak to a manager and THEN THEY HANG UP ON YOU AFTER CONSULTING WITH EACH OTHER. On the 11th, got an email stating that the product had been shipped. When trying to track the product through the USPS, discovered that the product had never been received by them. I purchased the Volt heated gloves and heated vest for approximately $350 from this store. The first time I attempted to use the gloves, the connector from the glove to the battery kept slipping off, hence no connection. I tried the second battery and it connected properly. Now the fun part, I called the store to start the process for the exchange, first call was on hold for over 30 minutes and never an answer. I sent two e-mails and finally received a form letter response about the hoops I needed to jump thru to get their defective product replaced. Sent an email asking the status of my order and wait two days for a response. Tried calling waited on hold for "the maximum amount of hold time" and left a message. I LOVE their products! How did I ever survive a winter without them? I can never warm up... The sizing charts were off, so I did have a little trouble with the sizing, but after all is is said and done with the exchanges, I received my items very quickly. I want to mention the customer service people. They could not have been more helpful or nicer despite all my sizing issues. They felt like "friends" and never seemed to get frustrated with me. Wish I'd read these reviews about TheWarmingStore.com before I wasted my time and money. The single product I ordered from TheWarmingStore.com arrived on time, but was defective. I contacted The Warming Store multiple times (including detailed info and photos of the defective item in my polite letter) in attempt to simply exchange the defective item for a correct one, but TheWarmingStore.com did not respond to or acknowledge any of my emails or messages. Although the customer service ticket forms you will find at The Warming Store's website create the appearance that The Warming Store will responsibly address an issue with your order, filling them out did nothing for me but waste more of my time. After waiting weeks for any response from The Warming Store I gave up and returned the defective item back to The Warming Store at my own expense, and ate my original shipping costs too when they eventually refunded my credit card for the defective item. Find anywhere else to buy your warming gear. It is likely that Amazon or another site will carry the item. I ordered a jacket (listed as in-stock) and paid for UPS 2-day shipping. When it still hadn't arrived for an entire week from the day it was confirmed shipped, I tracked it, only to find out the store had canceled the order after it had already been shipped (meaning it was turned around). I emailed and left them voicemails for more than a week with no response, UPS still insisting the package had been canceled by the sender. I still had not been refunded. After 2 weeks, I had given up hope of getting my order so I ordered elsewhere (where I ultimately found it for a much better price). A full 21 days had passed before it ended up showing up on my doorstep, not by UPS, and after my second order had already arrived. I still had paid for the UPS 2-day shipping and was never able to get in contact with anyone from the Warming Store for a refund on it. Again, most of their items can be found elsewhere. In January 2017, I purchased a full set of Gerbings heated gear (jacket, pants, gloves, socks and 2 channel controller). I went with the Warming Store as it indicated everything on my order was in stock, whereas Revzilla didn't have the 2 channel controller. I suspect they do not have the 2 channel controller since it was out of stock at Revzilla. I never received the controller I ordered. I just consider this as a mistake on my part and will do business with reputable retailers in the future. I wouldn't recommend buying anything from this vendor due to bad customer service and a website that me be questionable as what is indicated as stock items. P.S. It looks like Gerbing (Gyde) doesn't even offer the 2 channel controller. I purchased the ThermoGear Thermo Gloves Battery Heated Liners in Nov. 2017 From TheWarmingStore.com The pair of gloves have been placed in the shipping box only, did not come with the original box, nor was there any instruction booklet included. This reminded me as a pair of gloves that was place out on display as a demo. Now it's Feb. 2018 and the gloves doesn't even come close to meeting the performance as advertised. I've had up to two gloves over the liners with no satisfactory heat with the gloves on the high settings control. From my experience I can honestly say no, I would not recommend the gloves. Bad pair? Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I ordered 3 products, 1 was good and the other two were absolutely TERRIBLE quality. Gloves so cheaply made they literally ripped like paper when I tried them on for the first time (and not because they were too small or anything like that). Called repeatedly and FINALLY got through after at least 5 tries - when I told them of the issue, like a DUMMY I trusted them to send me a higher quality pair of gloves. I needed them fast, so the rep offered me a 10% discount to offset the cost of the express shipping. WELL - they did not show up in time for the trip, I was charged for overnight shipping and they sent 2nd day. To add to the fun, rather than a 10% discount, they gave me 1 cent off. I ordered 3 "cooling hats" from the Warming Store for $19.99 Each. The items. The items arrived in a timely manner. I ordered 3 because I was so excited. But were a terrible disappointment. The hat in the picture was very light or white straw. When it arrived it was dark straw. They are cheap $1 hats with cheaper 1 cent "patent" pending or something technologically advance bands inside that need to be wet to activate and when you do the cheap straw STINKS to high heaven. As for the one size fits all-- they are huge. The Customer Service I have tried calling and chatting but they are always experiencing a "high volume of calls," with products like the above, no wonder. I have emailed several times and have still not received a reply. The Resolution None thus far.
