Loved eating here! We wanted something quick but filling for breakfast, and were impressed with the options. I ordered the Avocado Sunrise Sandwich which was delectable. Normally I'd add avocado to a standard egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, so I appreciated that this came on it with carmelized onions. It stayed together well while I ate it and wasn't messy. My partner ordered the Avocado Toast and enjoyed the harissa olive oil on it, plus the fresh sourdough. It didn't take too long after ordering to get our food (but it wasn't busy), and there were a lot of seating options to eat there. They have a good selection of dry goods, particularly featuring local brands, and is a great place to stock up on goodies. Staff was friendly and the signage for where to order and pick up food was clear to prevent backups. Highly recommend Main Street Market! read more

Beautiful space and lots of good snack options. Outlets at many tables - good place to come get work done. Dog friendly with plenty of different seating areas. There is a gallery area that is more quiet. The staff was very friendly and patient with the two toddlers in line ahead of me. I got a BALT sandwich on sourdough and it was absolutely what you want it to be. I also got a Green Dream smoothie since it was a "favorite" and I agree. Very tasty! Stopping off in Rockland for a night. Arrived in time for a late lunch. Main Street Markets did not disappoint! MSM was clean, well staffed and had a calming vibe. I was pretty hungry and every bit of the menu was appealing. I decided on a tuna fish sandwich, a great choice. It may have been the best I've ever tasted. The table area was clean. This was the best place we could have asked for to eat lunch in Rockland. Super clean (although the bathroom was not), bright, airy, and a little something for everyone. On the day we went, their buffet was Indian-inspired. I was able to get a lovely plate with rice, chicken tikka masala, and roasted vegetables. My got a grilled cheese with different kinds of cheeses and added bacon and tomatoes. Epic!! He said it was one of the best grilled cheeses he's ever had. The clam chowder was also lovely. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I think the tikka masala could have had a little more flavor and spice. But it was still delicious and hit the spot! read more

Got take out from this place to bring home and heat up and it was lovely! The market itself has a great selection of pantry foods, sandwiches, smoothies, and pre-made entries and sides. Cutest small town coffee shop/ market I've ever been to. It's beyond clean and every worker is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A great discovery as I walked to the YMCA down the street for a mid-vacation workout. Kombucha on tap and locally made gluten free bread breakfast sandwiches caught my attention. Fantastic market and breakfast spot. Wish they were open earlier! Would have loved to go back and try more of the sandwiches.

My wife and I met with Maine Street Markets for an hour about having them cater our wedding along with having a dinner and breakfast at their sister restaurant, Ada's Kitchen. That meeting seemed to go well but then it was near impossible to hear back from them on pricing and scheduling despite our follow-ups. They seemed very unorganized and unprofessional so I would not count on them for event catering. We went with Megunticook Markets instead and they were great. UPDATE (9/6/18): To update this thread, Jen from Maine Street Markets, and I had a call yesterday after she replied to my review (below). I clarified that the problem stemmed from Maine Street Markets not being responsive after my wife and I had a lengthy yet positive meeting with them in person. Once we eventually heard back, a lot of the requested info (i.e. about a breakfast, a dinner and some food options) was not included and they weren't responsive to my follow-ups after that. We had to scramble last minute to secure an alternate caterer and luckily found Megunticook Markets. I let Jen know that we like the food and grocery options at Maine Street Markets but just can't recommend their event catering services to others based on this experience. read more

We had steak sandwich sliders, Maine crab claws and crudité for appetizers, and delicious bbq chicken with the best broccoli slaw I have ever had for dinner. Everyone was raving about the food and service as MSM made it so easy for us. Ill definitely call them back to cater my next dinner party and I will definitely stop in for that broccoli slaw often - hope it's a regular item in their grab and go! read more

Love this place! The staff could not be more helpful or friendly! They have a wide array of yummy food to choose from all local and organic! I love stopping in whenever I'm having the girls over for some cheese and crackers! The local cheese is too die for and they have such an excellent wine selection! I see that a fellow Yelper already mentioned it but I must recommend it as well, I picked up a few bottles of "The Oyster" recently for a girls night (the bottle is so beautiful) and not only is there a great local cause behind it but it is also one of the best wines (especially for the price) I've come across in years! So went to grab a sandwich for a quick lunch to go- not so quick. Is it me or does this place look empty? Which is it - a restaurant or spartan items on shelves? Pick one and do it right I say. The energy from employees was very unenthusiastic at best. Definitely not a stop for foodies. Management needs to liven this place up with bright and smiling people. Best store on Main Street by far!! I have been coming here for a few months now and it always seems to improve more and more everyday! The food here is always made to perfection, especially the breakfast sandwiches. Staff here is truly amazing, always working hard to make everyone feel welcomed and satisfied. The Main Street Markets team is also one of the most accommodating businesses in town! They catered a party for me recently and on top of they're awesome catering services, they made great accommodations to budgets, food options and space rentals. It isn't so easy having a very slim budget. I emailed the owner the day before asking about catering options, not expecting them to cater on such a short notice... but they did! Everything came out amazing!! No complaints from our guests and no complaints from us!! Very professional and very very organized, I couldn't have been more pleased. read more
