Roasted Turkey with stuffing and cranberry

We really like this place--a classic general store with just what's needed for sale on the shelves, and simple well-prepared food for lunch! The staff was friendly and helpful and the customers varied from tourists like us to workmen on lunch break. Some members of our party had ordered the Turkey sandwich with stuffing and cranberry sauce and the cook came out to tell us it would be a moment because she had to make more stuffing! It wasn't "artisan" but it was delicious. Fresh soft bread and great Turkey.

Friendly staff, great food. Nothing fancy. We visit here every year and always eat here several times. The crab and lobster rolls are our favorite. They have much more than seafood, but we've just never had anything else. Their macaroni salad and fish hash both are delicious. We highly recommend this place.

This place is a staple in tiny little South Thomaston ME. Not far from where I grew up in Owls Head, the Keag store sits on the beautiful harbor. This is the kind of place you'll find rich tourists who just flew into Owls Head airport on a private jet, sit next to someone's grandpa Joe who is just enjoying a nice crab roll by the window. They've got all the provisions but they also do a great take-out (or sit in!) lunch. Their crab roll and fries is one of the most affordable and freshest around. You can also sit out on the picnic tables on a nice day and enjoy the harbor. This place has been around for ages and will continue to live on with the tradition. We need more places like the Keag store in our lives!

Great food, nice people. Totally worth the trip!

Family run business. I have been coming since my early childhood and brings back fond memories. I always make a point of coming in when I come back.

Sandwiches were okay, just another basic general store in an area with few choices of places to eat.

Great food, reasonably priced, no ambiance here but take a look outside to the Keag River.

If you dined in, they gave you a little number and brought out drinks and food. We did not have a long wait before getting helped, we did take a moment to look at the expansive menu that was on the wall. My partner and I both got a drink and breakfast wrap which came out to be about $32 before tip. Our drinks were brought out shortly after we sat down. The iced chai latte was on the sweeter side but very yummy. The iced matcha was also good but I asked for some vanilla flavoring, not sure if it was added since it didn't taste too sweet. However, I think they may have a table to add more flavoring and sugars to make it just right! Lastly, the wraps were AMAZING! We got the Mexacali and the Lee's special wraps. It's safe to say that they were devoured. I'll be dreaming of these wraps for a long time. If we find ourselves in Rockland again, we will most definitely be coming back!

I particularly loved watching the two artists quietly creating at separate tables. The Ambrosia is a signature item. Imagine, if you will, a brevet cappuccino topped with chocolate powder. This is pure heaven in a cup. A variety of breakfast burritos are available on plain, spinach, and tomato tortillas. Over the week we were in town, we ordered each one and found them all to have generous portions of scrambled eggs. My favorites were the Mexicali and the Reuben. While ordering at the register, the service was patient. The servers who brought our food items were very nice.

On a recent cruise we had a port stop in Rockland, ME. Instead of doing an excursion we decided to…read moredo one of those "go down this street and right" excursions where you make everything up as you. Since it was between breakfast and lunch we decided to stop into Atlantic Baking for a coffee and a pastry. Atlantic Baking is an unassuming shop right along what I'm going to consider a main street through Rockland. Not necessarily THE main street, but the Main-est we saw, so I'm sticking with that. Inside are several cases of pastries, breads, rolls, donuts and other baked goods that looked at me as if to say "I dare you". There was a cinnamon roll-ish thing that looked really good, and a Vanilla latte are what talked to me most. The staff (two young ladies on this morning) were busy hustling and, even with that, were helpful as they tried to keep taking care of customers. The vanilla latte was SUE-PERB, albeit a bit hot for my taste (had it let is cool first). As we sat having our halfway-between-breakfast-and-lunch-but-not-really-brunch snack there was a steady stream of customers, I'm guessing about 50/50 regulars and cruisers. Aside from pastries, coffees and teas, there's a cooler with canned/bottle beverages for the on-the-go beverage drinker. With as much activity as was going on during our visit you'd think it'd be difficult to keep clean, but there was a gentleman who came out frequently to take care of emptied tables, trash, etc. There are windows into the baking area, proving that they've got nothing to hide. Most everything is made on site with fresh, natural ingredients by people who take pride in what they do. Atlantic Baking is a charming place and a nice stop for a mid-morning snack
