I googled a pizzeria near one of our jobsites in Jenkintown and this place popped up. I had never eaten here before, but the photos and reviews were outstanding. Ordering online through a third party for delivery to a jobsite can be a little chaotic, and while DoorDash was great, the driver arrived without the pizza I originally ordered. I called the restaurant and spoke with Jen. She was incredibly apologetic and assured me she would take care of it -- and she absolutely did. In less than 30 minutes, the crew had the correct order delivered. The guys had rave reviews about the BBQ wings, fries, and pizza. Thank you, Jen, for the excellent customer service. my husband and I don't live too far from here and have come here or ordered from here at least three times in the last five months since discovering it. Every time we get something different and it hits the spot. I'm still dreaming about their crispy chicken Caesar salad wrap if you're looking for something healthy I definitely wouldn't get the crispy chicken version of this, but if you've been craving a chicken Caesar wrap and want to indulge, this is definitely the place to do it. My kids wanted to try a new spot from our typical spots in Mount Airy. We ventured out to Main Street Pizzeria and we had the best experience with Sam R. She was friendly, kind and helpful. Despite a guest being extremely pushy and rude, she maintained her composure and friendliness. I ordered Pappardelle Alfredo and added chicken, side salad, lemonade. The Alfredo was hot, flavorful and there was so much that I took the rest home for another meal. The dinner was so good, I took my salad home too. I saved room for dessert, terimisu and coffee. Sam, the waitress was so attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and there was jazz music playing on the TV. I was using a cane due to a car accident and they even carried my leftover bag of food to my car for me. If anyone is interested, they participate in the program app "TO GOOD TO GO", . For those who don't know how it works, you install the app on your phone and you can see all that participate and how many bags of leftover food for that day. You reserve the surprise bag at a discount and pick it up at the times specified. It's a great way to help with food waste, the business makes money rather than throwing it away, we get great food at discounted prices. It's a win win situation. While hanging out at a friends house in Elkins Park and watching a basketball game, I looked up a restaurant still open past 8pm on a Saturday and had delivery service and found Main Street. The ordering process was quick and easy and the food was delivered within the time frame stated. Our order consisted of 3 orders of cheesesteak egg rolls and a large order of French fries. The French fries were seasoned and yummy. I was unfortunately disappointed with the cheesesteak rolls. The order included three nice size rolls but lacked flavor, lacked meat, and lacked cheese. I've had a couple of decent meals here but I was very disappointed tonight. I ordered a calzone and everywhere I have ever ordered calzone a marinara dipping sauce comes with it, but it was not an option on the order page, although there were dipping sauces offered for Sicilian pizza!! I added a comment to add a dipping sauce and also called the restaurant to make sure they saw it. The calzone was WAY too garlicky and charred on the bottom, AND they charged me $2.20 for a couple of tablespoons of marinara sauce. It was so burnt and garlicky that neither my husband nor I could eat it. It went in the garbage. I tried a bite of my husband's Sicilian pizza but the pepperoni on half of it was some of the worst I have ever had. If we had been ordering for visitors I would have been very embarrassed. I was nearby and craving pizza so I dropped by here. If you check in on the yelp app, the restaurant give you a complimentary fountain drink with a purchase over $15. There were bunch of tables to dine in. Though when I came in, there was no one really dining in but I did see some delivery people. When I entered the restaurant, I was handed a menu. From the menu I chose the spicy buffalo pizza to dine in and the boneless wings with BBQ sauce to go. In my opinion, the pizza was average. The crust was a bit hard and I wasn't a big fan of the bleu cheese included in the spicy buffalo pizza. Though I was most disappointed in the wings. The boneless wings were a bit soggy and just bland. Overall, I just think I chose the wrong type of pizza and would be open to the idea of trying out another type of pizza on their menu. The vegan chicken was the worse. It was just large vegan chicken strips on a long roll. No ketchup, no cheese, no vegan Mayo. No lettuce, tomato. I have been wanting a delicious burger since I had a hangover on New Year's Day and today I found that burger. I ordered on DoorDash. The menu is clear and concise so big up for that. I ordered a Fat Boys Rodeo burger without ham (normally I don't do substitutions but I have a funny story about ham for another day & forum). This burger is beef stuffed with cheddar, topped with more cheddar, bacon, ham, bbq sauce & a jumbo onion ring. They use paper containers not plastic so I guess it's a plus. Presentation is everything even though it was takeout. It comes with I'm assuming is homemade chips if you don't add on fries. This burger was everything. It was juicy and perfectly cooked. Ok first of all both are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. The mozzarella balls are so fresh and juicy and delicious I'm literally addicted. Best mozzarella sticks/ balls I've ever had. THE PIZZA is the best I've ever had from the sharp provolone and the sweet sauce. It's a perfect combination and I can't get enough of it. They also have the best fries (seasoned & crispy) that my kids love. Also the salad portion is big enough to have two meals from it or great to share. The pizza is good for this area. (I grew up eating pizza from NJ shore area so not much is comparable in my mind). The sandwiches are great too. The location is interesting. It's near the Jenkintown train station and a small park which, along with the Victorian houses, creates nice scenery if you choose to sit at one of the few outside tables on a nice day. (My husband & I walked there with our dog years ago one afternoon and enjoyed eating outside.) If you're looking for fast, delicious pizza place food then give it a try for takeout or dining in. This place is a quaint little pizza/sandwich shop right by Jenkintown Train Station. My dad and I were early one day so we decided to get lunch here and we were not disappointed. I had Grandma's Chicken Cheesesteak and my dad had the Italian Chicken Cutlet sandwich. Both rolls were seeded and delicious. My sandwich was saltier than expected, but still very good. The food use to be acceptable, but this is an unethical business. I have no problem paying a fair price for good food. I have a problem being taken advantage of. I paid $11.43 for dried out chicken. Add on fIfty cents for a few strips of onion! And another fifty cents for cheese! Good customer service is important, yet these people charge premium prices and does not give an effing pickle back. The first time I orders from them, the chicken was chunks of breast meat. This time, there is a serious deficiency for $11.43. Sidebar - take heed to what the delivery guy tells you what your total is. My total was $11.43, but he said the bill was $12.00. He got me the last time, but that was another ripoff. read more
