    Palermo pizza
    Ashley T.

This pizza was one of the best I've ever had. We got the Palermo pizza with added chicken and hot peppers (Mozzarella, portobello mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, roasted red peppers). My husband told me afterwards that he thought he saw a mouse while ordering though, so... gross. Knocked a star off for that. Then I looked at the health inspection information and... wow. That's disgusting. My original review was five stars, but yuck. I can't believe I ate that pizza now. I'll be checking that first in the future. I keep getting more and more grossed out the more I think about it-- and I paid $30 for the mouse pizza! LOOK AT THE HEALTH INSPECTION. Yuck. I FED THE TOPPINGS FROM THE MOUSE PIZZA TO MY BABY. UGH

A little expensive, but they're fine. I've had strombolis and pizzas from here, always fine but not really memorable. Perhaps my mistake is not ordering their signature dishes and keeping it simple. They are a step up from their competitors across the street, who I won't mention by name here.

Salmon salad as it arrived (avocado was extra)

they make the greatest salads! I love the salmon salad. it has a nice large piece of perfectly grilled salmon, a few pieces of grilled shrimp, and all the veggies are always fresh and delicious! the lemon vinaigrette dressing is perfect for this salad too. very delicious!

The ingredients taste fresh, cheese is high quality- however the sauce was flavorless/non existent. There was too much cheese and it made the pie greasy. Clean inside however none of the employees were wearing masks or gloves. Overall, wouldn't come back.

Typical game day meal right. Everyone orders this. Most establishments prepare and double, maybe triple, maybe even quadruple up on their stock order in anticipation that every household within a 5 mile radius will be calling in for these items. But not Pizza Wheel. Out of wings and chicken fingers by 4:00PM. Really?? Maybe every household in 50 mile radius called Pizza Wheel first thing in the morning and wiped out the whole supply?? Anyway, we wound up with a pizza, onion rings and a cutlet. Yes, one cutlet. Pizza was forgettable, onion rings were good but the cutlet, I could have ordered a bunch of those had I known how tasty it was going to be. Very crispy and the buffalo sauce was on the side which was nice because it kept the cutlet crispy. However, crispy cutlet or not, it could not save my review because another negative was we tried to do delivery so as not to miss any part of the game but 9.00 delivery fee + 9.00 driver tip??? Again, really??? Yeah, we decided to pick up instead to save almost 20.00 wtf!!! And you ain't got no damn wings. No.

I made a reservation and selected that we were visiting for a celebration and wanted a regular table, not a high top. When we arrived we were escorted to the bar side of the restaurant and brought to a high top. The hostess was happy to move us to a nearby regular table when I mentioned it, which we were happy about. We started with cocktails - a white sangria and one of their signature cocktails - the orange blossom. Both were presented nicely and really good. For our apps we opted for the pizza bread with pesto and calamari. I don't like calamari much, but my bff loves it. However, I ended up having 3 pieces because it was so good. The pizza bread wasn't what I envisioned. It was a very thin, almost flatbread like texture, with a thick layer of pesto. I should have opted for the tomato topping instead. For our entrees, we did the make your own pasta dish with gnocchi, grilled chicken, peas, and a Rosa sauce, the chicken piccata, and a side of the parmesan roasted potatoes. The gnocchi was the standout here. It was pillowy, light, and so flavorful with the Rosa sauce. I could have eaten the whole thing. The chicken piccata was a little strong on the lemon side and the sauce needed to be a bit thicker. If it was served over pasta I think it would have taken it up a notch. The crispy parmesan potatoes were a hit. They were seasoned very well and delicious. They have a selection of desserts as well, but we decided to skip this time around. Our server was hustling and did a great job checking in on us. The establishment feels more like a nicer pizza place than a date night spot, but I'd go back for the gnocchi alone.

I visited for the first time (definitely won't be my last!) on Sunday evening with a few girlfriends. The area is popular due to the Keswick Theatre being nearby, so I definitely recommend a reservation. Every dish here is authentically Italian and made from scratch. It's a BYOB establishment and gives off an early 2000's Tuscan vibe. Props to our waitress, Chelsea, who didn't miss a beat. She made the dining experience so enjoyable. I was with friends that are regulars at Trevi, and she remembered what they typically order. It's clear she genuinely enjoys her job and goes above and beyond for her customers. Our group ordered a few appetizers to start - the Brussels sprouts and fried burrata ravioli were great options for vegetarians like me. The Brussels were seasoned nicely and the fried ravioli was crispy. I highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was thinly sliced and breaded. I asked for spaghetti on the side and it came with the perfect amount of sauce. Chelsea also stopped by with a cheese grater and sprinkled some cheese on top. We couldn't leave without having desserts and there were plenty of those to go around. I personally couldn't wait to try the banana gelato and I was not disappointed one bit! It was thick, creamy and full of banana flavor. From the food, to the service, to the customers, everything you encounter at TreVi is wholesome. The energy inside just makes you feel at home. I look forward to dining here again soon!

A few people in our group didn't receive their food until we brought it to the waitress's attention, but the issue was handled quickly. The important thing though, is that I finally went there today and got a cheesesteak with fried onions. The first thing I did when I got home was weigh it. 2.3 lbs of cheesesteak goodness. Naturally, the enormity of the thing comes at a cost: $19.10 out the door. Being honest, I don't know what started this trend of "more food than you can possibly eat", but it's "a thing" now, so what can you do? Buy it, and share or save half for later. But, back to the steak. I'd say the closest competitor that I'm aware of would be High Steaks in Ambler, but in terms of meat to cheese ratio and flavor, I'm giving Verona the edge. In fact, I'd say it's the best or tied with the best cheesesteak I've ever eaten, and I'm old - so that's saying a lot. So we've got a great a steak that will easily serve two, a friendly staff, and prices within the realm of what you'd expect for August 2026. In addition to those tangible things, I take some joy in seeing that the choke hold once around the wallets of locals by that other place that shares it's name with it's location, has finally been broken. Competition is a great thing, and when you're greeted with a smile and a "thank you" that accompanies your order, that makes a huge difference, and is very refreshing. Overall: Delicious cheesesteak, friendly service, and they seem to appreciate that you're giving them your business. That's an A+ in my book.
