I was in the area getting a manicure service for my son, and since he was hungry, we decided to stop here because it's right on the corner. There wasn't a printed menu inside, so we were directed to view it online. We ordered the square white pizza because we were told it was thinner than the round pizza. We added chicken and sausage, and the total came to about $20. The pizza was okay, but it wasn't my favorite. I would have liked more sauce, and I found the chicken to be a little dry. The sausage had much better flavor. The crust was not crispy like I prefer. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with plenty of seating if you want to dine in. I also liked the old-style bench near the front where customers can sit while waiting for their order. Parking is probably the biggest challenge. There isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking, which is limited. Many of the nearby spaces seem to be occupied by neighboring businesses. One thing I did observe that concerned me was food handling. I saw a few employees using their cell phones in the kitchen area. After using their phones, they appeared to go back to handling food without first washing their hands or putting on fresh gloves. The employee who prepared my pizza was not one of the people I observed doing this, so I felt okay about my order. However, cell phones can carry a lot of germs, and proper handwashing before handling food is an important food safety practice. I hope management reminds employees to wash their hands and change gloves after using their phones. Overall, the service was fine, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the pizza for the price. I'm not sure if I'll return, but I appreciate the convenient location and hope they'll continue to focus on food safety and consistency. read more

I have frequented this establishment of my lunch break multiple times. Today as I waited to order the young lady at the counter was currently busy while another was just standing around. Another gentleman walks in behind me and the young lady who with nothing to do is VERY eager to assist the older white gentleman that walked in after me. I told her "Excuse me. ive been waiting." She brushed me off. So I left. I was so upset that I wasted my break, I went back to tell her myself. we have picked up food from here 3 times now. Every time , the food has been delicious and very fresh tasting. I like it because it has so many different options, not your usual boring kind of sandwiches & salads. My favorite is the Natales grilled veggie on focaccia, turkey, asparagus, zucchini, just so tasty! We tried the round cheese pizza today. Thin crispy crust, just the right amount of sauce to cheese, we really liked it. My cousin likes the chicken caesar wrap. i am not in this neighborhood as often as i used to be but for some reason every restaurant that is ever at this address and it has changed once or twice in the past twenty years is always great. i don't know what it is but it's always solid food. it was a rainy sunday night and i was on my way back to the city and saw trios was open so i went in ordered a tricolor calzone which is mostly just vegetables, tomatoes and spinach i think with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and a side of sauce and it was really good. perfectly cooked. and huge considering i ordered the small. makes me wonder how big a large is cause the small almost didn't fit in the pizza box. the crust was crunch brown and the breast parts were also well cooked no burn spot and the filling was delicious and not to greasy which is sort of rare in a calzone that's a large part cheese. makes me think they are definitely using high quality ingredients and it tasted very fresh so i am sure that's true. anyway i will be back for sure and since i am a huge tomato pie fan i can't wait to try one of those also. menu is solid lots of choices. they get the food made fast and the staff is nice. it's also clean and and well organized in there and they are constantly cleaning so no reasons not to get the full 5 stars. read more

We have had Trio several times in the past but at one of the locations not real close to us. Well that changed this location just recently opened in Elkins Park a lot closer for us. Saturday night and had to check them out and glad we did. We split four slices between us and they were all excellent. I really can't pick a favorite. We got the square thin tomato pie, the buffalo chicken & the Hawaiian trio. I was most excited to try the Hawaiian trio but the tomato pie was actually the winner out of the three. The Hawaiian trio tasted a little too dry and the toppings, mostly the pineapples, were quite sparse. I'd definitely try it again though and maybe ask for a bit more in the toppings and sauce department OR ask for that topping combo on a red saucy sauce pizza instead of white. Their Caesar salad was tasty and there was plenty. I'd pass on the potato wedges unless they're loaded - otherwise they're just portions of a baked potato & not crunchy (maybe they're different when dining in). I look forward to getting it again and trying even more combos.
