This place is very disorganized. From start to finished be prepare to spent at least 2 hours here. Check in is smooth as they have more than enough resources for that but the wait for the actual testing can be anywhere from 30 min to an hour with new indication of when you are next. read more

I came here for many of my sonograms and x rays. It is a radiology and the waiting area is pretty decent sized. Though the waiting area is a good sized but it is definitely not clean. There are used cups everywhere. It is the patients' responsibilities to their them away themselves but it does not seem like these Asians have any common courtesy to clean up after themselves. If that's the case the employees need to find a way to get the garbage in the garbage can and keep the waiting area environment more comfortable. Now to the technicians. They are friendly and nice. They try to help you as much as possible. The wait on a Saturday is always much longer than other days. They are open Sunday's as well which is great. They also allow you to walk in as well. Came here for my MRI for my liver. Front desk Sally was so helpful sign me in and helping me fill out the forms I didn't understand. Super friendly. The MRI technician Wendy was very knowledgeable. She walked me thru every step of what to expect from my MRI and made sure I was comfortable before I start the procedure. If you never had a MRI before it can be very nerve wreaking being stuck in a tube for a long time. She made sure the temperature in the room was ok and gave me a blanket because it was a bit chilly. I recently had an appointment at this location for an ultrasound. When I arrived, I waited for a bit and was helped by a lead tech named Maria. She escorted me to the ultrasound room which was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. I was happy that the the gel used for the ultrasound was actually warmed!!!! Maria was very professional and most importantly made me feel comfortable. If I have to go back for another ultrasound, I'd make sure to request her. read more

After searching for Radiology- I found Kissena Radiology @ 4125 Kissena Blvd Ste 121, Flushing, NY 11355. They do not play around with the billing like Main Street. Shame on you Main Street Radiology for billing me over $5000 for 2 X-Rays and 1 MRI. After contacting NY State Attorney's office they lower the bill by 30%. read more

This place is disorganized and inefficient. My mom came in last week for a mammogram and breast ultrasound and it took them 40 MINUTES to tell her she does not have an appointment. Fine, that's not a problem. She believed she had and if she didn't, okay, we can always schedule one. Miscommunications and misunderstandings happen. HOWEVER, the fact that it took them 40 minutes to tell her was unacceptable. Definitely wasted her time. She came in today for her appointment. They told her to be there by 2:10, and she did. Mammograms and ultrasounds aren't hour long procedures, right? Wrong. She was there for almost 3 hours, for 2 exams that could have been finished within an hour and a half. No explanation, nothing. She was sitting there, cold and barely wearing anything, just waiting and waiting. It's already nerve wracking to be doing these exams, plus she's been feeling some pain. It was very frustrating and ridiculous. I do believe this place needs a change when it comes to its operation. read more

Came here a little earlier than my appointment so my stay was around an hour and 50 minutes. Considering the amount of patients they had, it was organized I would say. The staff was friendly. The decor made me feel at ease and it seemed sterile. The person who did the imaging was super nice and made me feel comfortable. MSR is the usual place I go to for any lab tests that need to be done; I've been here at least 5-7 times and every visit has been decently fast and competent. Had a MRI scheduled for 10:00AM on a Saturday -- got there at 9:50, registered by 10:00, and the MRI was finished by 10:50 (the MRI itself took 20-30 minutes long). I'd probably try to get there earlier next time just in case because they usually get pretty crowded. My MRI technician was Tina and she took the time to explain the procedure as well as updating during the MRI itself, which was nice. read more

I was offered a letter of reference to the Main Street Radiology in Queens by my internist Dr.Tao Wu (whom I completed the breast exam with) and whom suggested me to undergo a diagnostic mammogram to determine any possible early detection, if at all. The Main Street Radiology is opportunely across the street from the Charles B.Wang Community Health Center. The waiting room is abundant in rows of chairs -foremost, upon entering the given floor the patients need to make the front desk staff aware of their arrival for the medical employee to present them with a questionnaire (referral from the primary care doctor are a must for the radiology procedure to be permitted to take place). Next, the patient fills out the medical history form and returns it to the front desk staff and sits to wait until a staff announces their name with a number which will be the indicated compartment office cubicle where the patient sits down and is asked further health questions by the staff with a computer. The patient waits till a staff member opens the door and states your name or several names at once. At the instant they called out my last name (which the lady spelled it out loud) along with other names -we were all led to a room with seats and dressing rooms with curtains. We each entered a private empty room in order to change into the provided long navy robes with attachable waist belts. A staff gradually states a patient's name to commence the mammogram. I was called and escorted to a room where a young female technologist asked me some questions and placed one breast first on the compression paddle -as the compression flattens the breast for seconds, the pressure intensifies. Honestly, it feels uncomfortable as the breast is completely stamped down flatly with the force of the apparatus on top of it. Notwithstanding,the breast is swiftly released once the x-ray beam has finished copying the image. The technologist did the same on the other breast and positioned it in different angles. They were numerous x-rays because it was a diagnostic mammogram. One position was so awkward where I had to bend down twisted with my breast attached to the modern machine. I told the technologist that it seemed like a NASA astronomy technology. The x-rays were then given to a radiologist and the final results sent to my internist. On that exact day, the staff informed me that I should do an extra breast ultrasound. I exited the room and waited a while -thereafter, I was shown a room where a lady properly cushioned me on top the examination table with towels for proper placement. She utilized a gel and then a transducer back and forth evenly on both my breasts, copying the images on computer via sound waves. She consequently did both of my armpits. In approximately forty minutes we were through and in the dressing room I dressed up and took off the blue robe and asked an assistant in the hallway where should I leave the robe and she signaled to a large basket ,where patients should enter it when they terminate their procedure. I called by telephone my internist Dr.Wu and he saw that my mammogram results were benign. The Main Street Radiology was collaborative. read more

I've been here before for an ultrasound and it was a pretty okay experience the mri experience was much better. I had a nice person named Kim who gave me the results of my mri in a cd which is great as it's a very urgent matter and I didn't have to wait long. The front desk woman who i checked in with was also really sweet and patient! It's a tough crowd in flushing so I thank them for the patience. The woman who also injected me with gadolinium was sweet and and the radiologist for my mri really tried to make me comfortable and she was kind to me even though I was secretly freaking out. I'm a very anxious person in general in medical settings but they moved fast, efficiently and with a smile. Hopefully I'm okay and have good news, but Main Street radiology is good if you are polite and kind to the workers there. I see some people are rude to the employees which makes the employees of course not want to help out- just be nice and you'll get great service read more

I don't normally give reviews unless the place is awesome or total nightmare!! I have been using Main Street Radiology for many years and had recommended to my families and friends to use them. I had my annual exams this year. The next thing I know is letter from a Collection Agency which only shows the amount I owe and account number! This is totally unacceptable! How do you expect your clients to know they have outstanding balance without even trying to send them the bills?? Forwarding the charge to Collection Agency and doesn't disclose what is the charge for (just shows Main Street Radiology on the corner) makes even worse. I called Main Street Radiology right away for the copy of the bill, and also found I have another outstanding bill from June 2016, beside the March 2016 bill that the Collection Agency has. I was told the copies will take 48 hours to send to my email. The Rep was very "NICE", doing me a favor kind of giving his personal advice, telling me to pay the bills over the phone NOW because they about to send the second bill to Collection Agency which will harm my credit score. Is it a common sense that you only pay for the bills when you actually see or receive bills? What kind of advise is that telling people to pay the bills without even letting them to see the statement/bills for the service charges?? Instead just telling your long term client that "the system shows you owe $xxx and I'm helping you and giving you my advice to pay now to avoid hurting your credits because the time is kicking. We are sending your next bill to Collection Agency in two days." Is this a Threaten? I don't know how you guys feel about receiving notice from Collection Agency for the charges that you don't even aware they exist. I feel awful, shame and worry about my credit scores. Having phone call with the Rep from Main Street Radiology completely pissed me off. Again, I'm not going to pay anything by just give my credit card number away over the phone when I don't even able to get the copies of the bills. Please tell me if I am wrong. **Oh, I forgot to mention. I was also told by the Rep that I need to pay for the Collection Fee too. Oh hell, You never bother to send me the bills at all, but just forwarding my information to Collection and telling me to pay for the Collection Fee?! This is totally a FRAUD! read more

Huge wait time. My appointment was at 1 and they asked I come in at 12:30. I was not brought into the waiting room until 2:30. The team was rude and indirect when I asked about when I could be seen and needing to go back to work. One staff member on floor 4 yelled at my husband saying he couldn't be on the floor because it was "only for women" and to wait downstairs. Even though there were other men sitting down. It was an intrusive ultrasound appointment and I wanted him there for support and he was not allowed to come in. read more

From the person who made my appointment, ( who was lovely, knowledgeable and very patient) , to the gentleman at the front desk, who was likewise, pleasant and accommodating, to the technician who was lovely as well. I wish I got everybody's name, so I could praise you each by name. There was a bit of a wait, but not enough to be annoying, and even so, it's a medical setting. It's par for the course. I had problem with my bill also, they kept sending the bill to me. Even my insurance cleared me. So I asked insurance company to call them back at the same time and clear the bill. But if the people didn't know, you just over pay your payment. They also sent you the third party even you don't own any money, because their billing system messed up. read more

I am a Neurologist-The services were fine at the Bayside MRI center. The scan quality was decent. However-The report per Han Kim, MD stated 2 different sizes of the herniated disc in the report. I and my Neurologist each called to correct the report-with multiple messages left for a call back, etc. No one called back. On 2 attempts today, I finally reached an MD to review the films and correct the report. The process today took 45 minutes. The report should be reviewed before it is sent out for accuracy. It apparently was not. Contacting a physician there is a major problem. read more

I talked to few people making appt but all of them gave me different times to schedule and even though I say I will get my insurance to approve they to me I cannot make any appt until you get it. They were very rude and was not helpful at all. What other people wrote on the reviews are all true. They sound like all they want is money. I told the gentleman to call me if there is a cancel appt he said no what kind of service is that. I will NEVER EVER go there again!! NEVER !! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! so my grandmother had an appointment there last Sunday. My grandmother is 73 years old and cannot speak English. one of the front desks who has long curve hair and black skin was SO RACIST AND RUDE to her. When my grandma got home, she told me that the front desk was yelled something like No Chinese, no Chinese and if no address, go home. When she told me these in Chinese, I was so surprised that what she said to my grandma. She was so angry when she got home, but she said later on they found one Chinese translation to help her and the Chinese girl who helped her was nice. After she told her experience at this place, I would rather say if main st radiology going to hire people like that, there will be less and less patient after few months. I called and they said they would put in a request. Another 2 days later, still haven't received them. Called them again and they said they would email it in 5-10 min. Received it 40 min later. I had an appointment at 8:30 this morning to get an ultrasound. I'd never been to this location before so naturally I looked up reviews on yelp and Google. Quite a few people had complaints about the lack of customer service, the rudeness of the staff and billing issues. When I got there this morning and went up to the third-floor, there was a line backed up to the elevator doors. However, it moved quickly. I had already printed out my registration forms from the website so I just gave it to the receptionist and she gave me another sheet of paper and I sat down and waited for my name to be called. I waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for my name to be called. I walked over to another desk where there was another receptionist waiting to take the forms that I had already filled out. She processed them, copied them into the computer in addition to my drivers license and my insurance card placed all my paperwork in a folder and directed me to go up to the fourth floor for my ultrasound. After heading up to the fourth floor I was greeted by another lady who took my folder and escorted me into another waiting area. I was surrounded by older ladies who were dressed in robes but since I was having an abdominal ultrasound I didn't need to disrobe. I waited for about 10 minutes for Pauline Lee, the ultrasound technician to call my name. She led me into an exam room which was very clean and quiet. Pauline directed me to lay down on the exam table. The ultrasound gel was actually warm to my surprise! The entire procedure took about 10 to 15 minutes and the whole ordeal took about an hour. Pauline Lee was very sweet and very kind. She instantly put me at ease. She made sure that I was OK for the duration of the procedure. All in all, I would come back to this location if need be. Also, I would come early because the office was pretty busy at opening time. read more

My doctor made a mistake on my referral (supposed to be for left hand but my doctor put right instead), I didn't released until I took the x-ray(even the staff re-confirmed with me during the registration if the x-ray for right hand, I was spaced-out and said yes). The staffs were very helpful and contacted my doctor right away. The waiting time was not as bad as I was expected (I made the appointment 15mins upon arrival), able to finished up everything in 30mins (including registration & taking x-Ray). read more

My Mother had to go back again for a CT scan in the abdomen because the technician did not get everything needed first time, she was distracted on the phone throughout, needless to say Mom had to fast a second time, she is only 84 lbs. Mom had to go back for a CT for the chest, waited an hour after asking receptionist twice, only to find out she was supposed to be on a separate floor. She didn't hear anyone call her name but at least they could have told her she was on the wrong floor. We will never go back again, they treated my mother with such disregard and lack of concern, MSR on 37th is a bad establishment, shame on them for treating my Mother so poorly. read more

My experience here was smooth and issue free. Appointment was made for the following week and scheduler gave me all the info I needed to prep for my visit. Based on the number of people I saw in the waiting room when I arrived, I thought I would be waiting for hours. But within 15 minutes, my name was called. I registered with a young man who was professional and polite. Then went to a different department waiting room, where a technician promptly took care of my first exam. Second exam with a different technician followed immediately and I was done! My doctor received the results within the promised timeframe so all in all, everything worked out well! Very pleasant experience I was surprised how nice and courteous everyone was. I was taken in on time, I was treated like I was important even though the place was pretty crowded. There was a parking lot next to it where a valet parked my car for free! I'd go back there anytime. Please rethink seriously going to this place. The mammo sonogram person was so unprofessional, had an accent, had a very bad tone and attitude and making me so uncomfortable through out. At first, when she brought me into the room, I could feel her anger/unhappiness. She hated her job or something. She told me to put my pocket in the chair that every one steps on. Then she commanded me to lay down and then threw the scan stick quickly and carelessly without a direction, just as someone treating her hostilely, scratching all over my breast,you could see and hear from her breathing and body language. By the way, she was supposed wearing her glasses. I felt she was unethical and very unprofessional, then she mumbling herself and jumped to the computer asked me if I had a mammogram already. Why would I be that room w/o mammogram, no wonder she found something wrong with me in the sonogram and asked me to wait and had the doctor came in, then the "doctor" without looking at my mammogram, and the 2 years ago mammo CD and reports I brought in, told me to have a biopsy. I asked if she had looked at my mammogram yet and she said no and due to their system had just down. Am I in the wrong place wrong time?No, I think this place has to be looked at. I had no confidence in those strange doctors and staffs. I am considering bring a lawsuit against this company and filed a complaint about the doctor and the insane sonogram person who even argued with me that the pale doctor won't see me after finishing. I saw the doctor was trying to close the door and hiding behind it, and since I was there, then she opened it and smirked at me? What a creepy place! I've been going here for about 10 years mostly for mammograms. I have to say it's a very professionally run, clean, and efficient operation. Everybody seems very competent on their job functions. However, the technologists are not that friendly and keep you hanging with no details of what is being done. This has been the case for years and years, and it only increases your anxiety. I assume this is done because they aren't allowed to disclose much info before a radiologist gives the ok. I have been in tears from fear, and only when I look like I am about to cry or pass out do they tell me something about my condition/ test result. I believe a Dr should be available right then and there to lessens your fears, before you go home and have a sleepless night. Something needs to change. read more
