However a lot of experiences elsewhere. This place was great. Loved the atmosphere and service so having great food was a definite plus. Homemade Pirogies made my day as they are not readily available all over. They were extremely good. One recommendation to heighten the experience would be to offer an option not deep fried because mostly healthy alternative but also different texture. read more

I really want to love this place, but unfortunately, I can only give it three stars. The food is above average for a hole-in-the-wall bar, but it feels like they're trying to shed that identity and become something fancier--which, frankly, is disappointing. The highlight of my earlier visits was a gentleman named David, the general manager at the time, who made an excellent old-fashioned and introduced me to the late-night happy hour. Thanks to him, I came back three more times. However, I recently found out David is no longer there, which was the first red flag. The main reason for my three-star review, though, is what happened during my most recent visit. I was enjoying Russell's on the rocks during late-night happy hour at $9 a pour--a great deal. When the bottle ran out, I told the bartender to give me something similar. Without warning, I was served Angel's Envy instead. I didn't think much of it until I saw my bill: the pour jumped from $9 to $24. Angel's Envy retails at about $50, while Russell's is around $47. Why the drastic price difference? Beyond the pricing issues, I've noticed both employees who made this place enjoyable are no longer there. Is it because of these pricing practices that make it hard to retain both staff and loyal customers? I had high hopes that Romeo's Main Street bar would improve with new ownership, but it seems to have fallen into the same trap as so many others: trying to be overly fancy and expensive. This is a hard-working town. We value great beer, reasonable liquor prices, and good food--not bars pretending to be some Michelin-rated place they are not. Over all would I go back? Yes, more than likely I will. More than likely it will be a while to get the bad taste out of my mouth. While the chimichanga is good, it's not good enough to get over being gouged. Visited this place for lunch several times in the past, but this time things were different. The food was all Gordon Food Service or GFS type food which is all pre-processed. We thought it was longer cooked on site and now jazzed up and heated. We had a hot sandwich, a fish and chips dinner and a pot sticker appetizer which all had a pre-processed texture and was somewhat insipid. We had drinks as well which were acceptable. If ownership has changed or some cost cutting initiative employed, this use of pre-processed food is a big step backwards read more

A great little restaurant with pretty good food. Not super pricey either! We stopped in on our way home from Blake's Cider Mill. Staff was very friendly. We did wait an hour for our food, but the BBQ Bulldog Nachos made up for it! They were amazing, probably the best nachos I've ever had. We also got a pepperoni and pineapple pizza which was okay, not the best but didn't expect it to be at a little local bar. Also got a black cherry hard cider that was very good. Found this local bar and grill in downtown Romeo on Main street. Parking in the back by the updated park. Fresh interior with tables, high tops and seating at the bar. Great quick service by Lilly. Happy Hour till 6 The greek salad was fresh and filling and the 1/2 lb angus patty melt was grilled right and juicy. I would order it again along with the onion rings. 12$ for the melt and 4$ for the rings. The tap beers were a decent selection. I understand why the other reviews mentioned bad service. This place would easily be a 4 or 5 star spot if the waitress we had wasn't oblivious to any and all skills and traits needed to be at least an okay server. The food was solid, the atmosphere was fine, the server was just that bad. She wasn't rude or snarky, just a fish out of water (which sat empty all night). Great place overall. I was shopping for my wife's birthday gifts at Town Hall Antiques and lunched at one of our go to places in downtown Romeo. The staff was fantastic. The restaurant is very old and established. The clean, updated restrooms are in the basement, so plan ahead for that, otherwise, enjoy the exposed brick, decent prices, and friendly staff. The owners have been trying to sophisticate the menu, here and there, but it's still a pretty casual place to hang out and maybe watch a game. We had an event which was catered by Main Street Romeo. The menu was delicious, and included a wonderful, large and fresh salad, delicious pasta with meatballs, perfect chicken Parmesan, crave-able garlic bread and garlic green beans. The food was served hot and with a smile. The restaurant is a great spot right on Main Street with a fun garage door style window. This restaurant was shut down and new owners bought it and added a whole new menu and did some major remodeling. The menu has some new and interesting options. The food was very good. My friend and I both ordered off of the specials menu and. I got the chicken fajita dinner which was delicious other than salty refried beans. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The portions were good- not over the top. My friend got the perch dinner and he said it was delicious. Now the reason for only 3 stars - there is no sound proofing in the room and it is incredibly loud. We were there at 6 pm so it wasn't like it was a full bar crowd. The waitress couldn't hear us and even with her pulling her mask down we couldn't hear her. Don't plan on trying to have any conversations while you are there - but you will probably enjoy the food. read more

Driving through town and needed a bite to eat. Parked right in front of the entrance, so we decided this was the place. It has a neighborhood/sports bar feel. I don't recommend ordering the alcoholic drink called the Jungle Bird it was absolutely disgusting the ingredients involved in the drink resembled rubbing alcohol leaving a fowl taste in your mouth. Main Street has become our favorite place to eat in Romeo. The filet is out of this world and cooked perfectly, they did a better job than most high end places I have been to recently and the presentation is spot on. The soups are always amazing and the salads are my absolute favorite, I love how they chop them. The quality and portion fit the prices here. We have never had a bad meal. The tater tot appetizer and potstickers are two of my favorite appetizers. Last night the tater tots were a little over loaded with onions but still delicious. Our waitress we had last night is always the sweetest and very attentive, didn't catch her name but her grandma's recipe for their bread pudding is one of the desserts. Stopped in last night for a few adult drinks. I wasn't impressed. Bartender pretty much ignored us. Our drinks were made wrong. I asked for well vodka tonic and apparently they don't have well, but only top shelf. When I want a few drinks, well is ok in my book. If I want top shelf, I'm going all in and having a dirty martini. Tonight was not a martini night, but was hoping for fun and cheap drinks. Not the case here, tonight. Not to mention is was the weakest drink and there was no carbonation. Other drink was a Jack and Diet Coke but received at Captain Morgan's and regular coke. 2 drinks and neither made correctly. The place was busy and lots of people were eating. I didn't pay too much attention to the dishes being served and I was distracted by my poorly made drinks. Small place but seating at the bar and plenty of tables for dining. They have Keno, and normally I love to play a few slips while drinking. But to be honest, this place and the bartender killed my buzz. Maybe an off night for her. I'll try it again. Maybe. Maybe not. I would 100% recommend you to go and eat at this restaurant! This food was so amazing. It was hot and fresh when it came out, and it came out very quickly which was very helpful in my case. Service was perfect also! We had an awesome server who was very nice and made me feel very welcomed. The servers always have a smile on their faces, and can probably get a laugh out of you, causing you to have a great time. Came for an early dinner.. Expresso Martini was amazing!! We ordered a Patty Melt and Greek Salad. Took almost 45 mins to get our food. Husbands food got sent back because bread was soggy on his patty melt and tots were cold.. I only took a picture of my salad but $18.00 for this salad. Two tomatoes, and the cucumber and onion are diced so small you couldn't even taste it and there was barely any in the salad.. $4.00 for a very small amount of Chicken that is diced so small you need double the amount of chicken. And you pay extra for that. Probably one of the worst Greek Salads especially for the price and it was mostly lettuce. This place came highly recommended but honestly would not come for food. Drinks were great.. Food prices are high for the small amount of food you get. It was freezing after they turned on all the fans on high.. it's freezing outside so why the fans on high is needed not really sure but made it very uncomfortable to have to put my coat on while eating. To say this place is a disappointment would be an understatement. I came here for the first time after reading how good the reviews are only to be disappointed by the service and the food. My boyfriend and I started with the fried pickles and I ordered a drink. We were so hungry and were looking forward to an appetizer you cannot mess up however, we quickly discovered the pickles were non-existant and we were simp eating breading. I wish I could say my drink was good, but unfortunately it came watered down and I could tell it sat at the bar for quite a while. I understand our server was busy and I understand things may be forgotten about, but I have never had such bad service. The tables around us in our servers section had much more attention than my boyfriend and I. After over an hour of sitting down, we had to get up to ask the bartender for silverware. We never received napkins, and our server walked right past us each time she entered her section while every other guest around us was greeted by her. As for the food I wish I had better things to say. My wrap was overcooked, and the buffalo chicken was more salad, with one piece of chicken. What we thought was going to be a great experience turned into one of the worst. I have never written a review before and unfortunately, my first one is a negative one. I used to frequent Main Street for weekend Karaoke before Covid, and this is my first time back since they reopened. Really impressed with the updated decor and fresh new look. The service was friendly and prompt. Food was excellent. The Chicken Rockefeller Soup was fantastic: great flavor and texture...perfect! The cheese steak sandwich was also delicious (maybe a little messy, but very enjoyable). The loaded tots were also fantastic.
