We recently just discovered Amore's and have been there 3 times so far. We haven't tried breakfast yet, it's been Italian or cheeseburgers for the most part. Their menu is absolutely huge so if you're a newbie, I suggest look it up online before hand or tell the waitress to give you ten minutes lol. Everyone we came in contact has been very friendly and answered our questions with ease and didn't have to go running back to the kitchen to check. They have a huge 1Lb burger with all the toppings called "The Beast" and you win a free tshirt if you do it. According to our waitress she said About 60-70% do try and win. She also said there was 11-12 year old girl who had beaten "The Beast" so the BF may give a go at it next time we lol...It's pretty quiet in there for the most part... looks like so regulars at the bar, A decent amount of seniors at the tables And booths. We had our daughters brunch after her baby dedication this morning and we ascended on this restaurant with 21 people. They did an amazing job accommodating us, food was fresh and great, service was amazing and we never felt rushed! They did an amazing job!!!! I visited this restaurant with a friend on a Wednesday night. We picked it because it was a convenient halfway point for both of us, each driving about 40 minutes in opposite directions, and it had solid Yelp reviews. Even on a weeknight, this place was hopping. The large parking lot had a lot of traffic, which told me they likely do a strong carry-out business. We were greeted and seated right away. We started with Fried Dill Pickles, Pot Pie Soup, Bruschetta Chicken, and Shrimp Scampi Pasta. Since it was a weeknight, we skipped drinks, but the restaurant does have a full bar. The place was clean, though a bit worn--typical for a family-friendly spot that's been around for a while. The Fried Dill Pickles were tasty, but they were super hot, so be careful when diving in. They came with ranch, but I would've preferred a special dipping sauce. Still, they were good. The Pot Pie Soup portion was massive. My crust topping was a little burnt, which threw off the flavor a bit, but the soup itself was really good, with big chunks of chicken. Neither of us could finish it, especially with dinner on the way. I had the Shrimp Scampi Pasta, and it was just okay. I wouldn't order it again. I expected a sautéed spinach with tomatoes, but it seemed like frozen spinach that didn't distribute well throughout the dish--almost too much of it. The portion was huge, enough for two, and there were plenty of perfectly cooked shrimp. However, the spinach and sauce didn't blend well; it needed a heavier sauce to balance it out. My friend had the Bruschetta Chicken, which was also a generous portion and looked great. I almost ordered it myself and, after seeing hers, kind of wished I had. She really enjoyed it. The service was attentive. A manager or owner was walking around and stopped by to check on us. We never had to ask for a water refill--it just appeared. What impressed me the most was that after we were finished and just sat there chatting for a while, there was zero pressure to leave. I ended up leaving an extra tip because I really appreciated that. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just a typical diner. Food (mostaccioli) was only okay. Waitress was quick and attentive.

We just left after waiting on food for almost an hour without our food. The waitress took our order and we waited and waited. We watched other tables get their food. We finally had to ask the bus boy for our kids hot chocolate. The waitress only checked on us after the bus boy brought the hot chocolate. We talked with the manager and waited another 10 min and finally left when the table beside us got their salad and soup after only being there for 10 min! When we said we were leaving the waitress said she was new and they got their salad and soup because that was what she put together. I however had ordered soup and never got it. I've been going to Amore's for decades, since I was a little girl. They never disappoint. Everyone is always pleasant. The salads are HUGE and delicious. The grilled chicken pita was one of the best chicken pitas I've had! The chicken was juicy and favorable. We also ordered onion rings and boneless honey bbq wings. The onion rings were not greasy and a good sized portion. The wings were sooo good. We each ate a few and had a large portion left for the next day. Perfect ratio of sauce, breading & chicken. We have been to Amores Grill numerous times in 2023 and have ordered a wide variety off the menu. Every meal has been "chef prepared", and have never once been disappointed. The waitstaff goes out of their way to make sure everything is just the way we want it. They are pleasant and seem to enjoy their job. The restaurant is clean, has booths and tables. Not what I expected. The food was flavorless and burnt. The waitress was kinda like, yep! Plus we waited so long for the meal I did not want to be the lone eater at the table when/of food finally came. The front door creates a large temp difference as it opens. They also don't have enough in the facility to absorb noise so people just talk louder and louder. They do offer a full bar and have a big burger eating challenge shirt for those that pay for the burger and St the entire thing. Now with all my complaints I would be remiss not to point out- they were hopping busy! This might/ would lead you to think I was missing something or there on a "bad day". Amore's Grill never disappoints They are always spot-on with their service their menu and the chef prepares your food like you would at home. On our most recent visit. We ordered the perch. Dinner and the ribeye steak both we're cooked to perfection. Ribeye steak was ordered medium rare and it was cooked medium rare pink on the inside cooked right and delicious Now The perch dinner was pan-fried and I'm telling you those pan fried perch were just like we would have done if we were at home seasoned very nicely and pan-fried served with french fries and delicious tartar. The service at Amore's is always very good. On this particular visit our wait person did a wonderful job making sure that we had everything we needed. Including a menu which nowadays is very hard to find. She checked back with us often was very pleasant and shared some suggestions with us. My boyfriend and I had an hour to kill before he had to go to work so we decided why not grab some early dinner! Going to Amore's Grill & Spirits was a great decision! We were welcomed and greeted by a wonderful blonde, looked as though she was one of the managers, who sat as at a booth near the window and also got our drink order. The waiter, Eric, brought us our drink's immediately. We both ordered the root beer to drink. We were pleasantly surprised it was Henry Weinards bottled root beer. It's nice to know I can get that root beer some other place besides the local Meijer. Kudos to Amore's for serving it in a frosted mug. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Pita- light lettuce, no tomato and side of Tzatziki sauce (I know i'm such a pain!) My meal came with homemade chips. Delicious! My pita was made perfectly. I like that the cheese is melted in between the chicken so you get the flavor on every bite. The chips were pretty good surprisingly. They tasted even better dipped in homemade ranch! They certainly don't cheat you on chips or chicken on the pitas! My boyfriend ordered the Cajun Shrimp pasta bowl. So plentiful! It came in a huge bowl topped with red peppers, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, parmesan cheese and a bunch of tiger shrimp seasoned in cajun seasoning. Definitely had a nice kick to it. Also came with homemade garlic bread and cole slaw (Soup or salad if you prefer) We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. This place is a hidden gem. Staff was super friendly and came and checked on us multiple times. Very clean restaurant. Daily specials each and every day. Great place to watch sports games in the bar section- lots of TV's. Our waiter mentioned they have coupons on their website and also in the weekly ads you get in the mail. Also they have a rewards card where you earn 10% back on each visit. 1st time coming here and when I sat down about 3 pm Sunday it was slow. The meal was mediocre but the worst part of the whole experience was the waitress. She gave me the Veal Parmesan first instead of chicken Parmesan. She took back the veal Parmesan with my fork and when she brought back the chicken Parm, she never gave me a fork and never came back to check on me, so I had no fork since it went with my veal Parmesan. This was about 30 minutes. the only time I got a refill am I drink is when I complain about getting the wrong dish. I must say that I'm a frequent customer at this restaurant. I get the feel of a mom and pops place, meets modern bar...I learned about this restaurant years ago when I started working in New Haven. My co-worker suggested we stop in to grab a bite to eat, and I've been consistently going ever since. I've tried their Fish & Chips, Chicken Pot Pie Soup, Cheeseburger & Fries, Breaded Mushrooms, Grilled Cheese Pita Sandwich, the breakfast specials, you name it. They serve huge portions, and for really cheap prices. I also like the fact that they have a Reward system, in which you receive a balance on your rewards card every time you order food. I didn't know this for 3 years of ordering food at first, but it's ok. They also add money amounts to your balance for your birthday, and Christmas. So that's cool. I'm used to a classic recipe with a single toasted bread slice only on top to hold the cheese. Really, the onion/broth should be the highlight, and I did love the flavor . What I spooned into was almost bread pudding, but with a classic sherry/onion taste. It was replaced without asking and like I said, it's maybe a regional way to serve it. Decided to try Amore''s grill & spirits for breakfast and am totally disappointed. We asked for 2 breakfast specials with over medium & scrambled eggs, hash browns cooked on both sides but not burnt & his bacon not crispy & my bacon crispy. We received hash browns that were barely cooked and my husband got RAW bacon!! When we asked for the bacon to be cooked a bit longer the cook had the waitress bring out the original bacon still raw and crispy bacon to see which he wanted. I cannot believe an establishment would allow their employees to do that to a customer!! It was our first and last visit there!! I would not recommend going there unless you like half cooked food. I was at this restaurant about 3 weeks ago and I ordered a coke...when I took a drink out of my straw, got a couple of lemon seeds in my mouth, there was no lemon in my coke. Last week I ordered take out, fish and chips. Took a bite of fish there was a shrimp tail (picture attached) in my cod. Took it back and the manager said it probably fell in fryer. Burger) and the meat had an "off" taste. I got a free T-SHIRT and not the color I wanted (cheap fucks, buy some more shirts), at least it will make a good Car towel after the wash. Well.. the inside is clean.. the place has more of a cigar bar feel to it.. the bar area looks almost like a sports bar, but the dining area is more " Coney Island" I'm not really sure what they're trying to go with here exactly.. As far as the food goes, I was NOT impressed with my Greek salad. The lettuce was literally the lettuce they use for cheeseburgers just barley chopped up. They gave me and over abundance of peppers, and hardly any other ingredients. The chicken was very rough and dry, not enjoyable at all. The breakfast was good, my guest had eggs, bacon and hash browns with toast. My other guest had Tortellini which was not bad. Overall I think they should stick to being a Coney Island, the menu is actually big and there is a lot to choose from.. but some of it needs perfecting. This is a bit out of my local dining range, but was right on the way to our destination last night. I had a coupon for half off the second entree, so it worked for me and my friend to try a new place. We shared a breaded mushroom appetizer. They were obviously frozen, dumped from a bag to the deep fryer, mushrooms. Tasty enough, but nothing special. We both ordered the lake perch, pan fried. First came a nice size side salad, with tomatoes, cukes, onions and decent croutons. The serving size on the perch was generous enough, but the quality of the fish was lacking. It had a tasteless, bread crumb breading. Worse yet, the breading was burned on every piece. I had a couple of pieces that tasted "off". I suppose i could have sent it back, but we had a play to attend, so I opted not to. Service was attentive and they did a great job of refilling our iced tea and pop. I bumped the review up to 3 stars for the service, but the food was closer to 2 star quality. We shared the apple tart with ice cream for dessert. It was plenty large enough to share. It was quite tasty, and we thought it was a nice end to the meal. We had to ask for a knife to cut the tart, even though we said from the beginning that we intended to share the thing. The server quickly brought a knife and two small plates. Why don't servers do that automatically when they know it's a big dessert and it's being shared? read more

I've been here so many times that I may have possibly tried the entire menu. I come here often and alone because it's close to home and it's consistent on food quality enough to frequent for a quick lunch or breakfast on the go. The inside is modern and they have a full-ish bar. The best part is Monday through Thursday they have Bud Lights for $1.50 and they are super cold! Depending on the day your server will be upbeat and really personable. My go to meals are the fried green beans, the perch dinner, the caprese salad, chicken pot pie soup (a must try), breakfast, and cheese burger. No not the big one. I'm pleased with my regular choices of food. The only food which isn't really cooked consistently is the perch that can be hit or miss. Everything else is decent diner food. The breakfast prices are nice and the amount of food is equivalent to what you're paying for. There are a lot of regulars here. I really enjoy that it doesn't really have a bar feel but you can enjoy a couple of beers without having the hustle and bustle and stench of a typical bar. I really enjoy coming here and will continue to give them my business as long as they are around. read more
