Well, we "did a thing" here last night! Our beyond fabulous line dance teacher had a 2 hr class before Alan Turner did his set. The dance area is large, people were able to spread out. They had tents with tables set up outside for distancing as well there were 2 full bars outside as well as the bar inside. The manager, a lovely gal, was everywhere inside/outside making sure that everything was running smoothly. They had a good amount of staff that did a great job getting food and drinks to everyone! Now about the food... this is not a regular bar menu they have a full menu with lots of great choices! I had the chicken tenders and they were terrific. I heard fabulous things about the sweet potato fries. The music was gr8, we dance for hours! There are hoops and corn holes games set up as well as a sandy area with nets. All in all it was a gr8 night. I hope we can do this again. As dancers, we are very grateful to venues that cater to us. There was a nice moon photo opp through the trees, as well! Thank so much. Keep up the good work!

What a fun restaurant and entertainment venue. Met up with family members for an evening of food, adult beverages, music and this place delivers. We were placed in a quiet back room which became livelier with our group. Some of our members ordered the Perch and it was tasty with ample portions. Tried a bit of of husbands fries and they were well cooked. Sadly my Veggie burger looked like they were trying to make it look like meat but just looked like mystery meat with a dark grey tint. Suggestion stick with veggie paddies that look like one. People who ordered them don't want them to taste like meat or look like it. Otherwise it was fine. The star of the dining experience was the rolls....oh my word, they were tasty with more than a hint of garlic. The service was good, kept the water and drinks flowing. Now the real reason for going to this restaurant is the entertainment. We moved out back to play some corn-hole and enjoy sitting out under the trees and lights and listen to music. They offer aside from Corn hole, horse shoe leagues, sand volleyball, and other forms of entertainment. This place is great fun to go with a group young or old...we are over 60.

Came here for a birthday dinner for my best friend's parents and we were seated in the back room with the pool table. Heard good reviews for the place and the food looked and smelled delicious. We came on a busy night, there's not much out this way but the place was packed. There was also karaoke going on when we started to order. Ordered the fried pickles and potato skins for starters. Didn't realize the potato skins were two potatoes cut in half then topped with cheese, bacon and green onions. The fried pickles are sliced thin and breaded and delicious, a bit on the salty side though. I ordered the brisket mac and cheese and French onion soup. The soup was really good, but I was slightly disappointed with the Mac and cheese. The brisket was delicious, the Mac and cheese looked like Kraft Mac and cheese. I was expecting something different but overall it wasn't bad, just too velveeta cheesy for me, but my son liked it! Everyone seemed to enjoy their dinners, the Cajun burger was a big hit at our table and I wish I would have ordered the fish and chips instead, but I'll have to come back again! There's live music on the weekends and a big outside area out back to play corn hole. It's a nice place to hang out, eat and relax!

Cool place. Every year we drop our daughter off at Hawthorne Hallow and try to find a place to eat. One of the troop leaders directed us to T's. I ordered the rajun Cajun burger with fries and a drink. The burger was cooked to perfection. My wife had steak, potatoes and what looked like an entire can of corn. She loved it. And finally my foreign exchange daughter (Germany) had the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Before we left we played some trivia (team name Halloweenies). We lost but had fun doing it. In addition to trivia one of the waitresses showed and awesome trick. Pic attached. Definitely will be back.

We had another incredible dinner at Selden Standard, which will always be our number one restaurant…read morein Detroit. We even got married here this summer!! So it holds a special place for us. Lauren took great care of us and encouraged us to order whatever we were craving. Dangerous advice, but we happily accepted . Warning - the ratings are real. They're not a mistake. We started with our usual cocktail, the Instant Karma (5/5). It is the perfect balance of citrus and salt with a light cucumber note. Clean, refreshing, and it pairs well with everything. The roasted sweet potato (6/5) is one of the best vegetable dishes in the city. The caramelized exterior gives way to a soft interior, and the crispy quinoa adds a subtle light crunch that plays against the creamy texture. The salsa macha brings a smoky, nutty depth without the heat, and the crema ties it all together. I had to physically stop myself from scraping the plate (actually they had to take it away ). The tagliatelle (5/5) with beef bolognese and parmesan was flawless. The pasta has that ideal handmade chew, and the bolognese is rich without being heavy. The parmesan blends perfectly into the sauce and stands out in every bite. The potato pierogi (10/5) were the star of the night. Soft potato-filled pillows with horseradish crema, apple, and crispy shallot pieces create this perfect sweet, tangy, creamy, and crunchy bite. Each forkful felt intentional and balanced. I felt guilty, because in my head, I didn't want to share with my wife, but I did anyways . The cruelty of having to split an odd number of pierogis...well played...we should have just ordered another one. We also ordered the smoked potatoes and the pan roasted half chicken with sauce au poivre (always 5/5 for both) The smoked potatoes, with raclette, and crème fraîche, are always a must. These winter variation was just as good! The chicken remains one of the most consistently well-executed mains in the city. I have tried recreating it at home with the cold pan method and it never comes close. Every time we dine here, it feels like four or five different dinner experiences in one evening. Selden Standard continues to set the bar for us in Detroit. We love the staff, the food, and the memories tied to this place. Cheers to many more amazing years to come!

It was one of those meals that I enjoyed so much that I forgot to snap photos of all of our food…read more Selden Standard was the setting for an amazing date night recently in Detroit. My husband surprised me with a birthday dinner here, and I'm glad that we got to experience it. We arrived in advance of our reservation and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender brought us a glass of wine while we waited. It took about a half hour, but we were shown to our table for the night and promptly greeted by our server. All of the food looked amazing, both on the menu and with what people were ordering at other tables. We chose a variety of dishes - cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, squid ink orecchiette, octopus, mushrooms, and scallops. I would recommend all of them, but the standouts for me were the Brussels sprouts and the scallops. Flavors were unique and textures were especially on point with those dishes. Service was good, but we both felt like it was slow. There was a slight glitch in the beginning of the night where the host stand didn't mark that we had checked in when we actually had, which probably contributed to the half hour wait at the bar. Aside from those points, it was an impeccable night!
