Really poor service. Would never go back & don't recommend. We came from a wedding and they were treating the bride and groom awful, so sad.

The tasting room is set up as expected. When you walk in there is a counter and you can order drinks or try a tasting. We actually just ordered a drink and took a seat in their covered patio area. They do have a food truck out there too, so you could eat here, but we stuck to drinks. Lovely little low key spot with good people watching, I had a Colorado Mule (bourbon) and a Margarito (which was kind of a take on a mojito with whisky). The hubby got two classics (an old fashioned and a whisky sour). They were all well made and delicious. Bartender was friendly. All around vibe was great. We ended up taking a bottle of bourbon home with us. Wonderful spot on Main Street Buena Vista.

As a rule I'm not a fan of scotch but I truly enjoyed theirs, no peat which is perfect. I have seen their stuff and not been interested. But saw the "Colorado Whisky" on Tubi featured Deerhammer. The story is awesome and what the history and heritage behind every successful distiller, it's about doing something unique. And that's just about the whiskey. The facility is small with a nice place to hang out and do the tastings. Don't try the fish and chips but they looked amazing. I'm a fan

We somehow always order the exact same thing too, gin and tonics, margarita pizzas, and Bee Stings. We can hear after our engagement pics this time around :) We had a small issue during our visit today, but the staff and managers were super attentive and quick to fix it. They were genuinely apologetic and made sure we were taken care of, which honestly means a lot. Definitely not something that would affect us coming back. If anything, it made us appreciate this place even more. We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town!!

I won't divulge how to find this place because that was half the battle and made it worth the wait. We ultimately were gathered in the hotel lobby to take us back to the speakeasy - the welcome drink was a super nice touch! The speakeasy itself is fairly tiny - seats about 30? It felt super swanky and loved all the wood - felt like we were somewhere back in the 30s. The cocktail connoisseur behind the bar, Danny, makes you a custom made drink based your preferences. They can of course make standard drinks but what fun is that? In their menu, they have a list of the most popular liquors (gin, vodka, whiskey, rum, etc.) and then flavors that typically pair with those liquors. For example, I wanted some sort of whiskey sour and asked to make it with peach or ginger flavors. My husband asked for a gin drink with crème de violet and got a delicious play on an Aviation cocktail with aloe and rosemary simple syrup. Overall, a little bit of a hiccup to find it and get in, but the experience was awesome! Was a little scared when there weren't any prices on the menu, but for the overall experience of getting a custom crafted cocktail, it felt worth it. Follow the canary! Cire, the bartender, was attentive, knowledgeable, fun, and just enjoyable to hang with. Get yourself there.

We took two seats at the bar and were lucky enough to have Tina helping us, she was so friendly and knowledgeable, really a gem. We started with the fiery passion and the rum sour and were impressed by the complexity of flavors in both, the fiery passion was a real winner, with a taste of passionfruit, and the habanero pineapple in the rum really coming through, but not in a overly sweet way, just enough. The chili sugar rim was a unique way to really set it over the top. The rum sour was also delicious, the Demerara, giving it almost a hint of an old-fashioned, but keeping it light and foamy throughout. Such an incredible set of cocktails. I also had the tomato bisque soup, it was so yummy and cheesy, and the staff were nice enough to bring out some local made bread toasted on the side. Then, Tina made us her own special cocktail, a take on a strawberry spicy rum, with an egg white to give it a delicious foamy texture. All the drinks are delicious, and Tina noted that they were the strongest cocktails in the area, with 2 1/2 shots per drink. We were definitely feeling fun and talkative as we were leaving. This place was so upbeat, with games to choose from, but still keeping a refined mountain vibe. We tried to go back again the next day, but had finished earlier and the bar didn't open yet! Bummer. We don't find our way to crested Butte often but next time we are there, it will surely be a stop.

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.
