Road tripping and needed some dinner. This was a great stop! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We asked first and were told the patio was pup friendly as we had our two fur babies with us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I watched the pups while my husband and daughter put in their order, then it was my turn. They have laminated menus where you write your name and tick off the item you want and any sides or customizations. I got the Pickle Club toasted. It had honey smoked ham, smoked turkey, bacon, and cheddar cheese. I opted for the parmesan bread and added lettuce, onion, pickle, and tomato. I had a root beer and some malt vinegar and salt potato chips along side. It came with a pickle spear too! I love me some pickles! This was a delicious sandwich! It was ready in no time even with a line of folks. I can see why this is a popular spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very casual and welcoming space. They have both outdoor and indoor seating. This is the pub Poncha (and Salida) needed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome mix of dive-bar + funky west coast vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Out of the 12-15 times I've been there, the staff has been super nice and awesome 100% of the time. The food is great- limited menu overall but who cares when everything is good. One of my friends jokingly said that the bread on the sandwich is too small (in other words, they don't skimp on the innards!) The owner is super personable and fun to talk to when he's around. As a local I want success for him but hope the tourists don't overly discover and ruin it. Keep Poncha Poncha! read more
