Adopted a kitty from Kim in January, 2026. This is our first time adopting an animal from a breeder, and we had an amazing experience. The process was very straightforward and smooth. Our kitty is one of the Maine coons that Kim imports from Europe and then we had him flown to us with a flight nanny. I did a lot of research before purchasing from a breeder so we were very prepared. It is always recommended to quarantine a new pet, and be prepared for ear or upper respiratory infections after an animal has experienced stress from travel. Especially cats. I had our kitty checked by the vet within 48 hours of receiving him and he got a clean bill of health, no infections. As for our kitty, he is well socialized and just overall perfect. He seeks me out for attention, plays well with my kids, and gets along great with my older kitties. The breeder sees each cat right before shipping, then you have only 48 hours after pickup for a vet wellness exam. This appears to be a deliberate policy change designed to move cats quickly while avoiding accountability for health issues that emerge after transport. Why This Policy Protects the Breeder, Not You: Respiratory infections from flight stress typically take 3-7+ days to show symptoms The 48-hour window conveniently ends before most travel-related illnesses appear When I raised concerns about what happened with Falcon repeating itself, the breeder refused to extend coverage She openly admitted upper respiratory infections "can happen even from stress" and that "no breeder typically covers that since it's out of their control" She's essentially admitting these issues are common enough that she's created a policy specifically excluding them The Pattern: Falcon became too sick to adopt (she acknowledged this was serious) Yet she claims this "only happened once in five years" But her current policy is structured specifically to avoid covering the exact type of illness Falcon developed This suggests sick cats after transport may be more common than she admits Red Flags: Reputable breeders offer 10-14 day minimum health guarantees Her policy ends before most transport-related illnesses surface She won't negotiate despite knowing cats in her care have become seriously ill The timing is suspicious: vet check right before shipping + 48-hour window = minimal breeder liability Bottom Line: This restrictive policy appears designed to let her ship cats quickly and avoid responsibility when they get sick days later. Combined with my experience with Falcon, this looks like a breeder who knows she has health problems and has structured her business to avoid accountability. Colorado has no pet lemon laws, so you have virtually no legal protection if your cat gets sick on day 3. Do not proceed without an extended written health guarantee. Purchased a precious male kitty. Skinny and lethargic. Breeder/broker, Ms Liszcz, told me European cats arrive skinny and it was normal. The kitty had also just arrived from Ukraine less than 24 hours before I picked him up so I thought he may have had travel fatigue. He was seen by my vet 24 hours later with the above concerns as well as not eating well and extreme diarrhea. Long story short he tested positive for Parvo and after only having him 5 days was hospitalized and subsequently passed away. Heart breaking experience. Ms Liszcz offered a new kitty for an additional $1200. (From the same breeder that the sick kitty came from). This was not an acceptable offer. In voicing my concerns I have found at least 2 people who have directly messaged me saying they had very similar experience within a the same month. Do NOT deal with this breeder/broker. read more

Update 4/2026 - Still dealing with severe medical issues. She was diagnosed with pneumonia and potential asthma. In the past two months, she had to be hospitalized for a week with chest tubes to drain fluid and placed on daily antibiotics. She has one collapsed lung lobe and has had daily diarrhea regardless of medication efforts. She has been sick for 90% of the time we've had her and vet bills are close to $30k (if you don't consider the insurance). It's been not stop medical problems with our baby girl and she's only 10 months old. She's been given a special diet that costs $100 for each type of food. She a spunky energetic girl when she's well, sadly we don't see that very often. The vet is starting to consider possible congenital conditions if things don't start to improve. We've done every possible thing to get her well and basically seeing the vet every 1-2 weeks at this point. 2/2026 - Be cautious and keep the vet insurance! We got our kitty Nov 2025, and had followed the contract vet visit as recommended and kept the insurance coverage she came with. For the first 1-2 months we kept in touch with the breeder for various questions and health updates. From the start, our kitty immediately started having litter problems, watery eyes, and sneezing. We kept being told that it was likely due to stress (from breeder and vet). Then a week later it was diarrhea. Again, kept being told it was stress. Overtime and after many vet visits and supplements, the litter problems resolved, but the sneezing and watery eyes got worse. Three months later (today), we continue with almost weekly vet visits, multiple rounds of antibiotics, imaging, and testing because of a severe respiratory infection she's developed. We have kept the breeder updated for the most part and not saying it's 100% their fault, but our kitty hasn't been a 100% healthy kitty since we got her. We have spent so much on just vet bills that I am lucky we decided to keep the insurance. I have never had a cat that has had this many "stress" symptoms or medical problems. Next week she is being put under for a diagnosis procedure to better determine where and what is causing this. An initial wellness check as the contract states within 48 hours would not have caught this. I personally feel like this is something she might have gotten, maybe in her travels or other kitties, that developed overtime. We love her and wouldn't trade her for any other, but something kept telling me the sneezing was not right and here we are now. read more

The breeder sold my daughter a kitten with pink eye, upper respiratory infection AND very CONTAGIOUS ring worm! The breeder insisted she had gotten a clean bill of health from her vet! Now we have 5 weeks of quarantine to keep the kitten away from the other two cats we own. plus 100s of dollars in vet bills and medication. Plus we have to worry about spread to other animals and ourselves. What breeder would sell (for thousands of dollars) a sick contagious kitten and the brush off any complaints as " you signed a contract"???? They breed these animals in obviously horrific unsanitary conditions, sell sick kittens and then tell you to get lost. read more

I purchased a cat from Maine Coon maniacs about 2 months ago. He was on the thin side and had an ear infection. They recommended that I take the cat to a veterinary shortly after purchase. I got some antibiotics for his ears and that cleared the infection and he has put on quite a bit of weight and now is a healthy, playful kitten . read more
