Purchased my first very own (not a family shared pet) puppy here. I didn't not intend on buying when I went in but they let you hold and play with them. Needless to say, I fell completely in love with my little Tallulah. She cost a lot more than what I was expecting but, she came already micro-chipped and sent us home with a bag of puppy food. They have many different breeds to choose from. The staff is friendly and helpful. On our way home, my little fur ball threw up in the car. I chalked it up to motion sickness. She also started to not eat and was sleeping a lot. I chalked that up to her being in a new environment. I brought her to Adams County Animal Hospital for her free exam, etc. and it turns out my baby was really sick. The staff and owner of Pet Ranch were very compassionate and helped walk me through what needed to be done. If I ever purchase another pet, I will definitely go back to Pet Ranch. I am happy to report that Tallulah is well and thriving! Best purchase of my life! Adams County is a great place to take your pet by-the-way. They take great care of your furry family member and are very upfront and give realistic expectations.

Constant snot and mucus along with severe cough

DO NOT BUY A PUPPY HERE!!!!! They sell SICK PUPPIES ALL THE TIME. I bought a Frenchie that cost 6k and and within the first week he was coughing, sneezing, constant diarrhea. When I called to tell them they told me to take him to the vet they use which is Adam's county animal hospital. He has giardia and a bad upper respiratory infection. Hes on 3 different medications. He has now has spread the sickness to my other dogs in my home. Since it's VERY contagious. The vet said 80% of the dogs they see from pet ranch are sick. He in fact treated 3 of them today! The owner will not even call me back to pay for the vet bill.

    Pup!

I looked for weeks on all of the shelters websites and almost every dog I was interested in was here at Boulder Valley. All the staff members are helpful and sweet; they answered all my questions and even answered the phone a few minutes after closing to help me. Then I found Zeus. Looking through their website, I stumbled upon him and knew I had to meet him. So I played hooky from work, loaded up my husband, roommate, and her dog and headed out. They were more than happy to have my husband and I meet Zeus one on one and then move him to the big pin out front to meet my roommates dog. From there, my husband and I decided to sit on it over night. The next day, I called and placed a hold on Zeus and then drove that following afternoon to go and get him. The paperwork took about 15 minutes to complete and the staff were so excited to bring him out to me to go home. I went from heartbroken and feeling like we'd never find a dog to walking out of Boulder Valley overjoyed. Thank you guys again for everything. We initially contacted Ethan because of food aggression with our dogs. Not only have they not had any issues with aggression since our first session, they are better mannered overall. In addition to the food issue we worked on dog relaxation, leash manners, sit, down, stay, come, leave it and go find it. Ethan showed us several games to play with our dogs. My fiance and I are enjoying time with our fur babies now!! There is no more yelling and frustration. We can have them calm down and reward them with treats and praise. One of the last things we worked on was manners related to opening the door. Our lab and weimaraner are easily excited, and at about 75 pounds each can be a handful. Although we didn't have time to perfect the behavior before our last session was up Ethan gave us the tools to keep working on it. He was always professional and easy to reach. Unfortunately I had to reschedule on him twice and he was always nice about it. Our schedules can be hard to work with but Ethan was able to fit us in each week. We will definitely be joining a group class at some point. My fiance and I both feel like it was such a positive experience and increased our enjoyment of life with our creatures. Many of the animals were active until around 10:30/11 when the temperature warmed up. Right out of the welcome center, we saw 2 of their jaguars (which we were told are usually pretty elusive), some foxes, bobcats, bears, and to our happy surprise, a cheetah. It came out of the shade in the back of its habitat and approached the fence close to the walkway because an employee was driving by. It sat there for awhile until the employee drove off, so we were able to get lots of pictures. My son LOVES cheetahs, so this was definitely a highlight for us. Of course, when we mentioned it to not 1, but 2 employees/volunteers, they both said that that sanctuary location doesn't have any cheetahs. I showed them the pictures and they stated that it was a leopard. While they certainly do have a leopard (which we also saw), this was indeed a cheetah. So, my 1 suggestion to the sanctuary is to educate the staff on the animals there. Aside from that, we also saw wolves, lions, tigers, and camels. Be prepared to walk the 3 miles round trip. Bring lots of water and snacks (they have bathrooms and shaded rest stops along the way). Bring binoculars (or rent theirs for $10 like we did)--the sanctuary is expansive, far beyond what's next to the walkway. And take your time! We told our littles that the animals were playing hide and seek. It is a worthwhile experience!

Before heading out onto the walkway, there's a large tent with food and a space where you can watch a short video explaining the sanctuary's mission and the work they do. I appreciated having that background because it made the whole experience feel more meaningful once we were out there. It was also nice that you can grab food and bring it out with you. Obviously you cannot feed the animals, but you can enjoy your own food and bring a water bottle while you walk. I grabbed a slice of pizza on the way out and appreciated that flexibility. The volunteers were genuinely kind and clearly passionate about being there. The facility itself is huge, you walk along a long elevated walkway that stretches over the habitats, which gives you a really unique vantage point. We had beautiful weather and great visibility, so we were lucky to see a lot. Some animals were lounging, some sleeping, and others were playing around. I liked how each enclosure felt thoughtfully set up and spacious, you could tell they are trying to give the animals an environment that suits them. If you are an animal lover, it is absolutely worth checking out. I do think it can feel a little expensive without a membership, but when you see the scale of the property and understand the work they are doing, it makes more sense. Overall, it was a really special way to spend the day.

She is the goodest girl now - not that she wasn't before - she is just so much better now. All of this training was done with a lot of knowledge and a lot of love from Training Wheels. I also use Training Wheels for boarding Lemon. She gets so much positive attention and interaction. I was a bit hesitant at first because there are a lot of big dogs, but the times that I have boarded her, there have been dogs her size to play with and the bigger dogs play in a different area. For sleeping, she gets her own area (with door) with plenty of space for her bed and toys and then an area for going potty, should she need to in the night (Italian Greyhounds have hamster bladders, haha). The building where she sleeps and takes naps is temperature controlled and she is surrounded by other dogs in their areas, so is never alone. There are multiple outside play areas - and they designate which areas are for which size dog, and the dogs are always supervised. Training Wheels staff are always with the dogs and interacting with the dogs. They send pics of my happy dog playing outside and running and having just the best time.
