The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Designed for extended stays, our room featured a kitchen and seating area and the beds were quite comfortable. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. They were able to offer local suggestions and even print off some documents I needed. Definitely would recommend. read more

As a comedian who is constantly on the road, I can sleep anywhere. But sometimes, I travel with my family along for the ride and they demand a bit more comfort than the road provides, which is why I am thankful for places like the MainStay. Our suite was like a small apartment and came with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room area, and my partner even cooked a bit in the kitchenette. Our daughter loved the extra space to stretch out in, and the bed was way comfortable. They serve a nice breakfast too. I'll definitely consider them again next time I come through. read more

This is a CHOICE hotel, make a BETTER choice. Stayed here for 1 night in October 2024. The room was not clean. The bathroom corners were grimy, pocket door for the bathroom did not slide.Outside of the bathroom there is a hole in the wall where they must have been checking on the plumbing. Did not touch anything in the kitchen area since it all looked unclean. read more

This wasn't my first stay at Chattanooga's Mainstay Suites, and I enjoyed it, as always. I've stayed at a few residence-style hotels, and it's made me appreciate this one more. I've noticed other residence sites often close their offices at 7:00, making late check-in difficult or impossible. This hotel keeps their clean, spacious lobby open and their office manned at all times: Anna was right there to check me in, cheerfully and efficiently. The room was clean, attractive, and open. It had everything I need. The full kitchen was separated from the living area by a big, stone counter that doubled as table and desk, with outlet and ethernet ports close by. Two full beds made for a comfortable sleep. If I'd had extra folks over, the sofa was a pull out sleeper with a memory foam mattress. Two minor suggestions: I'd love to see more than the one pier point on the nightstand between the two beds, and it would be great if each room had two or more dining chairs in addition to the one office chair that's provided. Overall, great job! I look forward to staying there again. read more

Overall - good stay, decent price, needs a little work in renovating Pros: great location: near several restaurants - shoney's, texas roadhouse, firebox grill, wendy's, cracker barrel, and more. Nestled between other hotels. Right near the interstate and gas stations. The room was really nice - very comfortable bed, clean bathroom, a little kitchenette and table. The hotel lobby was clean and spacious, had a little store with vending machines and snacks. 30 mins from downtown so no overly crowded and noisy area. Cons: SMOKY smell, the hotel reeked of smoke it was, we had the non smoking hall but smoke travels and it smelled like it everywhere, luckily the room didn't smell of smoke. Breakfast was not that great but doable. Finally for fitness people the exercise room was ridiculously small - it had a bike, treadmill, and elliptical and 3 medicine balls, no room for anything else and small walk space read more

Thank you MainStay Suites for a great value! I had an early flight on my arrival day and I was worried about my room being ready, but there were no problems. The daytime front desk staff were super nice and very helpful and checked me in right away. The room has lots of amenities: a huge eat in kitchen and work area, great bathroom, large living area, pull out couch, super comfy beds and a safe for valuables. Great location too! The hotel is super close to the airport with a Mall across the highway and numerous restaurants and stores within walking distance. Downtown Chattanooga is just a short ride away and there are tons of things to do in the area. Stayed a night while passing through. Actual room was different than the photos. You can't see how outdated and dirty everything is. They haven't cleaned corners in ages, so much so that my dog was eating whatever was in the corner, there was a huge stain on the carpet, the bathroom sink was super clogged and wouldn't drain, the bathroom door has brown drips running down it and dirty fingerprints, and the microwave had old food smudges all over it. The only ones who ate anything were our dogs. They also claim to be non smoking, but the whole place reeked of smoke which I am very sensitive to. I did think the bed was comfortable and the inside of the fridge was clean, but everything else we didn't even want to touch. The clock also was never switched to the correct time change. This isn't like other suite hotels where if you need extra blankets and pillows for a larger family they must bring a cart full of them. You have to return any extras to the front desk after you are done using them which was weird. If I ever come back to the area, I will look for a nicer place and spend the extra money. read more

Please is overall clean. Lobby smells like harsh cigarettes. Checking in was a bit rude. Front older lady was pretty rude. It's like she's never dealt with anyone before who wasn't white. She had a very sarcastic attitude. The rooms were clean, they don't smell as bad as the lobby but even in a non smoking room you can smell that weird lingering smell. This has got to be one of the best hotel suites that the wifey and I have stayed at and years we've been to the Hyatt Regency the Marriott and believe it or not we've even stayed at a couple of high end suites in Florida and Chicago...by far the customer service the honesty that they provide at the Mainstay is top notch above the rest....trust me I know there's folk there that would rather stay @a fancy hotel, but the price and cleanliness would definitely put the fancy place in the rear....try it yourself! read more

I called and made a reservation well in advance for a dog-friendly room for one night of my road trip. The night before my reservation I called to make another one-night reservation for my return trip. The operator asked about the size of my dog. It turns out they have a weight limit that the first operator did not mention or ask about. I had to scramble at the last minute to fine a different hotel for me and my retriever. No apology for the mix up, just a "there's nothing I can do about our policy, sir" snotty remark when I complained about the last minute emergency to my plans. read more

This hotel in Chattanooga was extremely clean and I loved the room. While the Mainstay is not going to ever be the largest room, it does have a nice kitchen and a sitting area. The bed was soft, clean and very comfortable. The water pressure was great for a shower and the overall smell and feel of the place was great. I just liked it all around. Chattanooga is usually the halfway point on our florida trips, so we stopped here for some rest on our way home to michigan. This wasn't our first choice. We ended up playing hotel pinball that night and bounced from place to place looking for a hotel that wasn't booked solid. As our luck would have it, several big events were going on that weekend. We were referred here after the nice gal at the comfort inn called in to see if they had any rooms. Turns out they had a few left so we drove across the street here. We were traveling with four people and the only rooms they had left were little suites with a queen and a sleeper sofa. Katie at the desk was so nice and set us up with some more blankets and a quilted comforter for extra support for the sofa. She was very helpful and pleasant. At a point when we were tired with souring dispositions her kind attitude was appreciated and helped our own moods. Thank you Katie! The room itself was clean. Small for four people but we made it work. It had a little kitchenette complete with a full size fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The room was nicely decorated with modern looking furniture. Overall the whole place looked good. The rest of the staff was also nice and helpful. There was a free continental breakfast that was your standard fare but it did the job. We'll be making this our hotel of choice next year! read more

MainStay was really clean and surprisingly quiet! My room was on the main floor next to the fitness center so I was expecting to have to use my earplugs but I didn't hear a thing! I really appreciated how soft the bed was... a nice surprise. The towels were super fluffy too. My room was very clean! The breakfast area can get a little crowded but it was nice having fresh coffee and pastries available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Chattanooga. read more

Well I'm working here in Chattanooga for a new store for the next 6-8 weeks. Another contractor choose this hotel and I decided to stay also. Now 2 weeks later I'm still here. The staff here is really nice and always greet me with a fond hello how are you. My room is nice and roomy and well stocked with a full size frig. The wifi in this place in always running pretty quick and this place also has a bunch of tv station. They have a decent breakfast in the morning with good coffee downstair in the lobby. The coffee in the rooms is another story and not the best one either. In all this is a pretty good place to stay while I'm in town. After all they are giving me a decent deal on my room cause I'm here for such a long stay. read more

I can't say enough about this place. Very comfortable place to sleep and it is super convenient to everything. There's even a functioning mall right down the street. A mall!!! The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The shower had great pressure and the bathroom was big enough and very clean. The staff was super friendly. I absolutely loved my stay here at the Mainstay Suites! I was traveling with my family, and it was nice to stay in a hotel that everyone enjoyed. The hotel was located in a quiet section of Chattanooga, and was pretty east to find. Plenty of parking available- which was great. Anna at the front desk is a rock star- she went above and beyond to make sure that my stay here was great. She was very helpful with extra pillows for the kids, and helpful with directions around Chattanooga. The rest of the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel room itself was great- very spacious and clean! The hotel room came with a fridge, microwave and stove. The couch had a pull out bed- which was surprisingly very comfortable. The internet in the room was super fast, and was able to able a few shows with the kids. The bathroom was actually pretty spacious as well. I would have loved to give this hotel a 5 star review, simply because the staff was so friendly. However, there were some issues that I just couldn't get past. While the room was well-kept and clean, we found a soda bottle and other items under the edge of the bed, so it left us doubting just how clean the room really was. The internet was spotty at best, but we were told the owner is in the process of finding a new provider. The other issue is beyond the hotel's control, but deeply impacted our stay. The intersection to get out of the hotel is the biggest pain and quite dangerous. Each time we left to go somewhere, it added anywhere from 5-15 minutes just to get out onto the road. We probably wouldn't stay here again, simply because of the traffic issue, but barring that, the hotel was fine. read more

The night before we stayed in the Mainstay Suites, we crashed at a friends house with broken air conditioning. That morning, we felt like our insides were boiled and we were barreling along to Chattanooga in a fever dream. Surprisingly, the air conditioning wasn't the most refreshing thing about the stay (although it was AMAZING). Randy, the man who welcomed us at the front desk was incredibly sweet and helpful, and we were so happy to see him working again the next day when we checked out. He went beyond the normal small talk of customer service, helped us print our tickets to Dollywood, and did it all while being genuinely lovely to talk to. All of this plus a ton of natural sunlight and tree-top views in our suite made this a definite spot to remember. Thanks Randy! read more

Great staff. Great room. The pictures were beautiful prints of Chattanooga. They were in a little renovation in the lobby and the wi-fi had some issues at times, but the room was super clean and cute. We even had a kitchenette fully stocked. Even a cute little porch with rocking chairs. Only problem was no pool, but a great value nonetheless. read more

I booked this hotel two days early on line. I called the hotel in morning before I checked in and I was told that my reservation was confirmed. When my wife and I arrived at right after 3 PM, they said to us "We are overbooked but don't worry we have a room for you in our SISTER HOTEL, SLEEPING INN". Fear of not getting a hotel to stay, we had to accept. When I was signing in sleeping inn, I saw the amount that Mainstay paid sleep inn was around $50 but I PAID $81.22 for the hotel reservation! Sleeping inn is the hotel I would never book for myself. When I booked the hotel, I was searching for a three star hotel. I ended up getting a two star hotel with three stars hotel price. Not the best place I've stayed at but not the worst either. We needed something with a kitchenette and the price was right so we booked through Expedia. We were greeted by the general manager who was working the front desk. All around the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean but you could still see some water damage on the ceiling and paint peeling near the kitchen. The beds were pretty comfy but the sleeper sofa was extremely uncomfortable as you could feel the springs right through the mattress. There was plenty of towels and extra blankets. If you need WiFi then I would recommend using it in the lobby because once you get to the rooms it's extremely spotty. Continental breakfast was good but average. They had a good variety such as cereal, bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, waffles and yogurt. I have mixed feelings if I'd stay here again. It's good for the price but this also has long term rooms. There were people staying in a room down the hall that were long stay that we heard screaming and cursing all night and left their door open for all to hear. I called the front desk and they sent someone out right away but they were back at it just a couple hours later. I was told they were on the verge of getting kicked out because several people have complained but if I was management I wouldn't have let it get that far. They should've been booted a lot sooner. read more

Ok... So I usually am of the school of thought that you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I got less than I paid for. They did let me check in early which was cool and asked me up front if I would like the light touch cleaning service the next day. Of course! I get to the room to find the toilet barely flushes and it gets backed up. I call the front desk and she says there is no maintenance on the weekend... Really? She said she was busy but would be up when she could... Really? I found a housekeeper and she got me a plunger. I fixed it myself. The next day comes. Breakfast is ok. Decent options, low quality. Which is fine...it's a free breakfast. I never did get that light touch clean up and ended up needing to request towels. the bed was ok. It was clean for the most part. It's not really that close to the attractions which was fine. I wouldn't stay there again when there are so many other options available for around the same price or less for the same amenities. I stayed 2 nights. I couldn't imagine staying much longer. read more

WORST STAY IN A HOTEL, EVER. I made a reservation a day prior to checking in. I was not notified about roof work being done during my stay.. and I was placed on the top floor. I mentioned to the staff twice that I was unhappy about this, and was offered nothing. The roof work began at 8 am every morning, and ended around 6 pm, so no chance of sleeping in, or an afternoon nap. I emailed the hotel after checking out, got no response. Days later I called choice hotels, they spoke with hotel, management LIED to them stating that they had emailed me back, and also that I was offered another room and refused. I was offered points, but declined. I then received an email from hotel "apologizing", I responded requesting some of my money back, got NO response. CRAPPY customer service. Just know if you stay here and something goes wrong, there is no chance of getting a penny back. Very unfortunate. Will never stay here again. read more
