I think the staff was very nice and the rooms are spacious but I do have a couple complaints that didn't meet my expectations. 1) hundreds of people flew in for a conference into a small airport and all stayed at the same hotel. You would think the hotel would accommodate and plan for that, but we didn't get rooms until 1pm and some not even until 2-3pm. There are meetings and events we need to get ready for and some didn't even have a room to do it. I think next time there should be more planning for those people in line wanting a room. 2) the room was really pretty, but both beds in my room had stains on the sheets. One looked like a urine stain so I slept in the other one that had dirty stains on them. The bathroom was pretty clean but still found other peoples hair on the shower floor. I'm pretty picky about other peoples hair and I understand it happens . But I have never seen sheets with those many stains, especially at a nicer hotel at a Westin.

This hotel not only had a great location, but it was also very pretty inside and cozy. I loved the fire places, the decorations and how well maintained/clean everything was. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. My only issue with this hotel was the WiFi/ TV. The WiFi seemed to be very intermittent which meant that the gym machines (like the peloton) were also operational and my tv was also not really operational. The staff wasn't able to fix the issues which isn't a big deal but it (mainly the gym experience) did detract from the overall time.

I was at The Westin Chattanooga for a one-day conference and truly fell in love with the hotel and have added it to my list to return and get the full experience. Walking into The Westin Chattanooga the staff were at the desk with smiling faces. The welcome was pleasant and set the tone for the experience. As I walked deeper into the main floor I was taken by the ambiance of the decor. The feel puts you in the mindset of an oasis. Tropical and visually enchanting. The bar and eating area play off of the oasis vibe and present an almost tranquil atmosphere for unwinding, meeting, or just grabbing a drink. The meeting space is gorgeous. It has a historic feel to it with rustic undertones. The space is perfect for any occasion as it is a gorgeous canvas that you can play with to your desire... The leaders of the conference I attended chose a classic conference theme of just tables and chairs, however, even with just the basic setup, the rustic tone is so beautiful that it enhanced the overall tone of the room... The service staff was amazing as well. They were able to be in and out of the room to refresh the food and change out meals without interrupting the presentation. My time at The Westin Chattanooga was amazing. Though it was short. The staff, ambiance, and beautiful square in which it sits has me already planning my return.

Dog friendly rooms

I tagged along on my boyfriend's recent work trip to Chattanooga... and so did our dog! This was her first time staying in a hotel and we weren't sure what to expect. The Westin far exceeded our expectations. Our room was very nice and very clean. I've stayed at other dog friendly hotels where you knew you were on a pet floor. That was not the case here. The hotel staff was wonderful. The valet station ran super efficiently. The front desk staff was genuinely friendly. And my favorite was the marketplace - Kate is awesome! We enjoyed dinner at the tapas bar upstairs and it was delicious. I grabbed lunch at the marketplace each day and there were so many good options. (If the watermelon juice is available, try it! It's so refreshing.) We grabbed wine & dessert at the bar downstairs one night. Again, absolutely wonderful. Along with the dining options on site, there are a lot of other amenities. I worked by the pool most days, rotating into the cabanas when I needed shade. It was quiet during the day, and the wifi worked well. There's a designated dog area outside for pets, as well as a couple of fountains that my dog was mesmerized by. The area is walkable and there are a lot of cute restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby. Looking forward to my next trip to Chattanooga and next stay at the Westin... and I know my dog is too!

Great hotel downtown Chattanooga. We stayed for 3 nights and even brought our pup with! The hotel is dog friendly with a reasonable $50 per stay (not per night) fee. Centrally located and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants as well as the river walk and the aquarium (roughly .5 miles). The hotel is complete with a terrace floor pool and cabanas, a dog walk, a rooftop lounge bar/restaurant, and lobby bar/restaurant with plenty of indoor and patio seating. Will stay again!

This hotel delivers! It is well located, modern and very good service. My room was spacious and clean!!! Very good bed, good pillows and great duvet.... Bathroom is also very nice and clean, shower nice and modern... the room has a floor to ceiling window which is very nice as well... Missing food after hours. Maybe this will be a 4.5/5 but cant put it in Yelp.... And cannot put a 5 on this hotel.... Will come back when I return to Chattanooga... Cheers

From the moment you pull into the driveway of this beautiful property, you just know that it is a dialed in place. The parking attendants are almost military like, and I mean that in a very complimentary way. They unload your baggage, and send it to your room immediately. Front desk gentleman were welcoming, professional, and efficiently checked you in quickly. Our room was spotless, and comfortable, we had reservations at a local restaurant, but after taking a look at the menu here at the Westin, we decided to dine here at the hotel.this hotel is not only dog friendly, it's perfect for dogs! We dined on a couch in front of the fire place with our pups, to an amazing meal. If you are coming to Chattanooga, look no further p, you found the best here at the Westin. Staff os 5 Stars

We were so blown away by this place! When we rolled up, we immediately noticed the big, outdoor hotel patio that was filled with water fountains, fire pits, live music and a lot of people having a great time. It opened up to the road and there was another great-looking restaurant (Old Gilman's Grill) across the street with outdoor eating spilling onto the street as well. It looked like a happy, poppin' road. We did valet parking because we didn't see any parking spots in the area. It was about $15 a day, which wasn't too bad. The lobby had a big fireplace, a race car, flavored water and granola bars for guests, a cafe, restaurant, and a bar. It also looked fun and we were excited to stay here. The Iron Man, as well as several weddings were happening there over that weekend, so it was super fun people watching. The staff were great and we were in our room in no time. The beds were pretty comfortable, but I really appreciated the room darkening blinds. They were very effective. I personally can sleep through any noise, but my husband heard motorcycles on the highway and people at the bar above us many times through the night (just a heads up!). There was a cool tapas spot on their rooftop bar, and they also had a rooftop pool that was small, but nice looking. The concierge can also recommend local activities, and we definitely recommend going to Rock City.

They must be doing something right to keep this staff happy! The staff is amazing. Some of the highlights are the bar service, the room service, the valet service and the front desk service. See a theme here? If you want good service stay here! They are centrally located within walking distance to all the attractions. This is my second time staying here and it will be the only hotel for me in Chattanooga. Thank you team at Westin in DT Chattanooga!

Paper straws individually severed by waiters on uncleaned outdoor tables. Dirty rooms. Filthy windows. Woke staff. Horrendous management. Poor lighting. Zero parking security. No safety. Drug infested homeless wandering the streets all around. Way too much to list on here.

This was an amazing place to stay! We arrived early on Thursday and we ask if there was a possibility of an early check in and they did have a room available so we were able to check in. Valet was super awesome! I wish we grabbed the last name of Alex (he had curly hair) as he was awesome and went out of his way and did something amazing for my son. The bellhop named Carter was very helpful. The front desk staff were great, always welcoming and asking if there was anything else they could do for us. The room was on the 9th floor and had great views. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice in size. Loved the rainfall shower. The pool and workout areas were clean and nice. We would for sure stay here again!

So I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel when I was staying in there. It looks a little eccentric, with the elevator shaped like they are and the spiral staircase in the center of the building. But it works for it! Had a really good time, they have a spot that you can get pastries and quick bites as well as a restaurant. They have a bar on the first floor that leaves out to a nice little patio area. The patio area is really nice. They also have a top four ball called the Paloma, which is super nice. All the staff is nice and friendly and they greet you soon as you get to the door every single time. The rooms are nice, they leave free water for you, which is complimentary cuz sometimes it's not complimentary. They leave little lavender oil roller so that you can use it to sleep better, the bathrooms are super clean, everything was good. I didn't see anything that missed and I will definitely stay here when I have another work trip.

How much is parking for hotels guests?

I've heard 15 to 50. They wrecked my car and we got credited 50 dollars. So really not sure. But beware, their valet sucks. They did also pay for the body damage, which was a lot.

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Forge, the hotel's restaurant. If you visit, do yourself a favor and order the Honey Whipped Feta. The creamy, silky feta paired with sweet honey and served with charred baguette was absolutely delicious and one of the best appetizers I've had in a long time. Between the comfortable accommodations, excellent dining options, and convenient location, The Chattanoogan is a fantastic choice whether you're visiting for business, a convention, or a weekend getaway. I'd happily stay here again.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable. So I came in expecting standard hotel beige and left thinking about snack cakes, spotless rooms, and how easy they made the whole trip feel. Four stars, and yes, Little Debbie absolutely helped close the deal. And the VW's are a nice twist too!
