A very nice hotel and we enjoyed our stay there. We were given an upgraded room but it was on an upper floor facing the west and there was a nasty windstorm that day so we had a constant howling noise in the room and they had to move us to a different part of the hotel which was done quickly and efficiently. Service was excellent. The only negative thing was the cold lobby. The outside temperature was below freezing and the lobby was noticeably cold. A vintage (c1954) Crosley Hotshot motorcar was displayed in the lobby. An unusual spiral staircase was in the middle of the hotel interior which had 4 glass enclosed elevator shafts. Very unique. A tapas and wine bar on the top floor was excellent and the regular restaurant in the lobby was very nice, as well. Highly recommended. Valet parking. read more

Absolutely stunning property. Beautiful interior, and has a market stocked with drinks and snacks for your convenience. We valeted and were assisted by Dylan to our room. It was a corner room with beautiful window space and a great view of the strip! Love the backsplash in the bathroom and the handheld shower attachment as well. The heated pool is a great amenity. There's lots of seating as well as a few covered areas with couches and fans. You can also order food directly poolside, and everything was delicious! All of the valets were wonderful, and even gave great suggestions for fun things to do around the area. Definitely would visit again in a future trip read more

I think the staff was very nice and the rooms are spacious but I do have a couple complaints that didn't meet my expectations. 1) hundreds of people flew in for a conference into a small airport and all stayed at the same hotel. You would think the hotel would accommodate and plan for that, but we didn't get rooms until 1pm and some not even until 2-3pm. There are meetings and events we need to get ready for and some didn't even have a room to do it. I think next time there should be more planning for those people in line wanting a room. 2) the room was really pretty, but both beds in my room had stains on the sheets. One looked like a urine stain so I slept in the other one that had dirty stains on them. The bathroom was pretty clean but still found other peoples hair on the shower floor. I'm pretty picky about other peoples hair and I understand it happens . But I have never seen sheets with those many stains, especially at a nicer hotel at a Westin. read more

This hotel not only had a great location, but it was also very pretty inside and cozy. I loved the fire places, the decorations and how well maintained/clean everything was. The staff were very friendly and always happy to help. My only issue with this hotel was the WiFi/ TV. The WiFi seemed to be very intermittent which meant that the gym machines (like the peloton) were also operational and my tv was also not really operational. The staff wasn't able to fix the issues which isn't a big deal but it (mainly the gym experience) did detract from the overall time. read more

I was at The Westin Chattanooga for a one-day conference and truly fell in love with the hotel and have added it to my list to return and get the full experience. Walking into The Westin Chattanooga the staff were at the desk with smiling faces. The welcome was pleasant and set the tone for the experience. As I walked deeper into the main floor I was taken by the ambiance of the decor. The feel puts you in the mindset of an oasis. Tropical and visually enchanting. The bar and eating area play off of the oasis vibe and present an almost tranquil atmosphere for unwinding, meeting, or just grabbing a drink. The meeting space is gorgeous. It has a historic feel to it with rustic undertones. The space is perfect for any occasion as it is a gorgeous canvas that you can play with to your desire... The leaders of the conference I attended chose a classic conference theme of just tables and chairs, however, even with just the basic setup, the rustic tone is so beautiful that it enhanced the overall tone of the room... The service staff was amazing as well. They were able to be in and out of the room to refresh the food and change out meals without interrupting the presentation. My time at The Westin Chattanooga was amazing. Though it was short. The staff, ambiance, and beautiful square in which it sits has me already planning my return. read more

I tagged along on my boyfriend's recent work trip to Chattanooga... and so did our dog! This was her first time staying in a hotel and we weren't sure what to expect. The Westin far exceeded our expectations. Our room was very nice and very clean. I've stayed at other dog friendly hotels where you knew you were on a pet floor. That was not the case here. The hotel staff was wonderful. The valet station ran super efficiently. The front desk staff was genuinely friendly. And my favorite was the marketplace - Kate is awesome! We enjoyed dinner at the tapas bar upstairs and it was delicious. I grabbed lunch at the marketplace each day and there were so many good options. (If the watermelon juice is available, try it! It's so refreshing.) We grabbed wine & dessert at the bar downstairs one night. Again, absolutely wonderful. Along with the dining options on site, there are a lot of other amenities. I worked by the pool most days, rotating into the cabanas when I needed shade. It was quiet during the day, and the wifi worked well. There's a designated dog area outside for pets, as well as a couple of fountains that my dog was mesmerized by. The area is walkable and there are a lot of cute restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby. Looking forward to my next trip to Chattanooga and next stay at the Westin... and I know my dog is too! read more

Great hotel downtown Chattanooga. We stayed for 3 nights and even brought our pup with! The hotel is dog friendly with a reasonable $50 per stay (not per night) fee. Centrally located and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants as well as the river walk and the aquarium (roughly .5 miles). The hotel is complete with a terrace floor pool and cabanas, a dog walk, a rooftop lounge bar/restaurant, and lobby bar/restaurant with plenty of indoor and patio seating. Will stay again! read more

From the moment you pull into the driveway of this beautiful property, you just know that it is a dialed in place. The parking attendants are almost military like, and I mean that in a very complimentary way. They unload your baggage, and send it to your room immediately. Front desk gentleman were welcoming, professional, and efficiently checked you in quickly. Our room was spotless, and comfortable, we had reservations at a local restaurant, but after taking a look at the menu here at the Westin, we decided to dine here at the hotel.this hotel is not only dog friendly, it's perfect for dogs! We were so blown away by this place! When we rolled up, we immediately noticed the big, outdoor hotel patio that was filled with water fountains, fire pits, live music and a lot of people having a great time. It opened up to the road and there was another great-looking restaurant (Old Gilman's Grill) across the street with outdoor eating spilling onto the street as well. It looked like a happy, poppin' road. We did valet parking because we didn't see any parking spots in the area. It was about $15 a day, which wasn't too bad. The lobby had a big fireplace, a race car, flavored water and granola bars for guests, a cafe, restaurant, and a bar. It also looked fun and we were excited to stay here. The Iron Man, as well as several weddings were happening there over that weekend, so it was super fun people watching. The staff were great and we were in our room in no time. The beds were pretty comfortable, but I really appreciated the room darkening blinds. They were very effective. I personally can sleep through any noise, but my husband heard motorcycles on the highway and people at the bar above us many times through the night (just a heads up!). There was a cool tapas spot on their rooftop bar, and they also had a rooftop pool that was small, but nice looking. The concierge can also recommend local activities, and we definitely recommend going to Rock City. read more

This was an amazing place to stay! We arrived early on Thursday and we ask if there was a possibility of an early check in and they did have a room available so we were able to check in. Valet was super awesome! I wish we grabbed the last name of Alex (he had curly hair) as he was awesome and went out of his way and did something amazing for my son. The bellhop named Carter was very helpful. The front desk staff were great, always welcoming and asking if there was anything else they could do for us. The room was on the 9th floor and had great views. The beds were comfortable. The room was nice in size. Loved the rainfall shower. The pool and workout areas were clean and nice. So I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel when I was staying in there. It looks a little eccentric, with the elevator shaped like they are and the spiral staircase in the center of the building. But it works for it! Had a really good time, they have a spot that you can get pastries and quick bites as well as a restaurant. They have a bar on the first floor that leaves out to a nice little patio area. The patio area is really nice. They also have a top four ball called the Paloma, which is super nice. All the staff is nice and friendly and they greet you soon as you get to the door every single time. The rooms are nice, they leave free water for you, which is complimentary cuz sometimes it's not complimentary. They leave little lavender oil roller so that you can use it to sleep better, the bathrooms are super clean, everything was good. I didn't see anything that missed and I will definitely stay here when I have another work trip. read more

3 stars for the BAD! - We stayed in a room that was so close to the highway, I thought I could feel the Jake brake on every 18 wheeler that drove by. And the HVAC vent blew right on the bed, so my SO turned off the blower so there was no white noise. The HVAC was really loud compared to the hotel we are staying in now, which is like what you likely have in your home-super quiet/silent. The HVAC may have been having issues though bc the door was half open (and the air filter was really gross.) 5 stars for the GOOD! - The hotel was so nice. With minimal cleaning you feel like you can be comfortable like you're in your own place. The sheets are good quality and the towels are quite nice. The bed was soft, which was great for my SO, not great for me. The shower is probably the nicest I've seen in a hotel, but I don't understand the shower head/rain combo. They are never ideal. The bakery was pretty good and i have to give a great compliment to the employees at Westin. They really make you feel welcome. read more

The rooms are very spacious, the pool area is really cool, besides having way too many kids. So if you are looking for a quiet time by the pool you probably need to be there before 10am. They have 3 restaurants on site. We had tapas and drinks at Paloma, the one on the 10th floor, and it was perfect. The one on the first floor has a great patio but breakfast was very limited. Food was good though. It looks like a pretty new hotel, very close to everything but not so much in the crowded area. Just espetacular! read more

Lovely friendly and well trained staff, clean rooms with great showers, quiet and lovely air conditioning. The Westin is dog friendly with an outdoor area that feels safe even at night to visit with a dog. Rooms are more spacious than most because this is a former office building. Lots of restaurants nearby. I think you have to valet park, but you could probably look for nearby parking on your own (we didn't try) read more

This is a former Blue Cross/Blue Shield office building, and it looks it. 1990s gold windows greet you upon arrival. It's atrium style with a funky spiral staircase going up the center. Don't worry there are four elevators surrounding the stairs. The arrival and valet are friendly and efficient. There always seems to be a line at check in. After a short wait, we were helped by a very stern front desk agent. We were on a special rate which required additional documentation as back up. Normally, this is already attached to our reservation, and when it's not, a quick email usually suffices. Not today. Was told it needed to be printed. We were in town for a show, and due to rainy weather and a number traffic incidents, we were running late. No matter. Not later, now. No docs., no room. So, off to the nearby computer to print, what most in the 21st century would handle by email. Back with the newly printed docs, we had another agent help us who was perplexed that we needed to print them, and when she realized we were on a time crunch, worked astonishingly quickly to get us checked in and on our way. Unfortunately, we didn't get either person's name. The room was well appointed with the standard Westin furnishings. Nothing interesting, but nice sized and functional. There were some minor to major housekeeping issues. The in room coffee maker still had the used coffee grounds packet from the previous guest. Although we had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, a housekeeper was knocking on the door bright and early to see if we had left the room yet. The draperies had several hooks that had come off which meant they drooped in the middle and were hard to open and close. The public areas are nice, but this property misses a lot of details. Banquet and outdoor furniture is not stored correctly and is out in the open. Most probably wouldn't notice or care, but overall it just adds to the overall feeling it's just not quite there. What it does have is a great location. Easy off the interstate and exceptionally close to downtown. They also have a great dog walk area which is large, clean, and even though it was raining, mud free. And, with the exception of the one front desk person everyone was genuinely friendly and willing to help. pet friendly* and clean thats why they get 4 :P read more

Amazing. We checked into the Westin with ZERO hassle. A young middle eastern man with the friendliest smile made all the difference in the world! I think his name started with an "S" and if his employer happens to see this review then he needs a raise! In the midst of chaos he was funny and cracking jokes while he made sure our room was ready and the process was fast, easy, and streamlined! Pool is nice and food was good! Terrible hotel. Great lobby for show but actual hotel is trash. Terrible front desk staff that are uneducated and unprofessional. Terrible smells in the rooms, not clean, no sound insulation at all, lots of parties at this hotel and right by the freeway. Terrible management that doesn't know how to train staff or handle escalations. An embarrassment for the brand but also the last time I will stay at a Westin. My wife and I were on our Anniversary trip to Chattanooga, so we booked a stay at The Westin. When we arrived at The Westin, I was very impressed by how clean the outside was. The valets were courteous and treated my vehicle with respect. The front desk, was a mixed bag: One day, friendly, the next day, downright rude. However, most of the people working near the bar or coffee/snack area were glad to help us with whatever we needed. Our room was clean and spacious, with a great view of the city. The elevators were surprisingly fast, and the sitting areas were soft and relaxing. The outdoor patio had beautiful fire pits with fountains which illuminated at night. There are a few restaurants and places of interest within walking distance. Be sure to have walking shoes/gym shoes with you, as some places can take a while to reach. The only thing I would change about the stay, would be the super uncomfortable bed. We tossed and turned every night of our stay due to it's firmness. If you are heading into Tennessee, give The Westin Chattanooga a try. read more

Would prefer more food options but we stayed during covid so we didn't get a good grasp on what they would normally offer due to restrictions and being short staffed. I actually worked in this building when it was the BlueCross BlueShield Home office. It was quite the office then, we called it the gold building. There was a spiral staircase from the 2nd floor to the 9th floor and I'm happy they kept it in the conversion. I didn't get to check everything out and hopefully I'll get a chance to visit again soon but what I saw was beautiful. Great art work, several nice spots to sit in the lobby and a little market area to get snacks and coffee. The grounds around the hotel are just as beautifully decorated as the inside. I was in room 921 and I believe my favorite part was the shower. Modern but comfortable. The couch wasn't very comfortable but I wasn't going to use it too much. I was however going to be using the desk chair as I was working in this trip. I was not a fan of the desk chair but I asked for another one and had it within 20 minutes. Great service! Location is right off the interstate so easy to find. Valet parking was interesting. At peak times you would need to be careful because those guys were all about speed. Close to all Chattanooga downtown attractions and several great restaurants. read more

Stayed here for work for the week and absolutely loved this place. I travel for work 3 weeks out of the month and will be sure to stay here when in Chattanooga again!!! The hotel's bar and restaurant are fantastic. The front desk/valet staff are extremely nice. I would recommend using the "text" feature to retrieve your car from valet. It took about 15 minutes to get my car one morning -- and I was the only one waiting. Five star service from the moment you arrive! We travel quite frequently and occasionally we come across a hotel that is memorable for its service and attention to detail. The Ritz Carlton in New Orleans comes to mind and so does The Westin Chattanooga. The hotels most memorable employee was Sunny at the front desk his name suits him well. He made us feel like we were being welcomed into his home. Our suite was well appointed, spotlessly clean and the bed and linens were luxurious. Without a doubt we will definitely stay again when in the area. Another plus, the hotel owners are classic car collectors and enthusiasts. It's truly located in the perfect spot downtown. There's plenty of new tasty restaurants within walking distance. As expected with the Westin brand the gym is what I like with TRX bands & kettlebells. No better hire for staying fit on the road. There's also a rooftop pool off of the second floor with a nice cabana style layout with views of mountainous Chattanooga. You can't beat the bar on the 10th floor that's open to beautiful Chattanooga mountains & atmosphere. Lastly there's a good restaurant inside the hotel & a bakery that sells out of there tasty cookies daily. You can't go wrong staying at this hip hotel. read more

What an unexpected jewel on the downstairs terrace! We went up to the rooftop for a drink and it was a noisy mess, so we decided to sit downstairs on the terrace instead. Our server was witty and attentive even though she had a large graduation party. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was glorious! Not only is this place in the heart of downtown but it is right next to the highway, yet it seemed like a tranquil oasis. The huge building blocks out the highway noice and the West Village square has an ambiance all of its own! What an incredible hotel! The service was top of the line and considering it seems like the whole world is short staffed... the Westin was not. Valet parking was frustrating at times because you had to wait but they were pretty fast. We traveled with a baby and immediately upon arrival they brought a crib and a microwave to our room. Restaurants and bars throughout hotel and a little store to purchase necessities. We spent some time at the pool where they have some cute little cabanas and a bar by the pool. This place exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The service was super right from our arrival. The room couldn't have been nicer; spacious with plenty of storage, equipped with all the essentials and a huge shower. There were lots of indoor and outdoor areas and seating for lounging. Just a few negatives. We got coffee and muffins from the marketplace and there was only one person working at 9am and the place was busy. Our muffins were stale and I'm talking VERY stale! If we hadn't already been on the road I would've taken them back and asked for a refund. And there was a piece of broken glass on the floor in our room. Some type of heavy tempered glass. In spite of these last items, I can't not give this place a 5 and would go back there in a heartbeat! read more

This hotel was amazing. We stayed here in transit from Florida to Illinois with my spouse and two kids. The hotel is located in a great area of town about a mile away from the downtown attractions. Valet parking is available in addition to help with your luggage. The staff was extremely friendly from start to finish. The hotel itself was very clean and updated. The outdoor pool was absolutely amazing. It was furnished with 5 separate poolside cabanas and a poolside bar. With my family of 4, the rooms were relatively spacious, the bathroom was nice, there was a safe, fridge, etc, and the television options were excellent. The hotel also had a deli & convenience store area in addition to a restaurant and bar and an outdoor seating area. We will definitely look to stay here again. read more
