    Great breakfast area

Very good experience. The Hilton Honors app is very user friendly and I was able to use points to easily book a last minute trip to Chatt. I was able to confirm the room and request details and later check-in via app as well. I loved how I could use my app as a digital key and remote as well. There is a $10 per day parking fee with convenient on-site self parking. Wi-fi is included and requires only your last name and room number to access. The hotel lobby and rooms are nicely renovated, modern and clean. The bathrooms were really well-appointed with all of the toiletries you may need (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, mouth wash, shower cap, makeup remover, sewing kit) and also a shampoo, body wash, and conditioner hub on the shower wall. I noticed that there is a small lower shelf in the shower for either placing toiletries or resting your foot while you shave your legs. Love this detail! There is also a hair dryer. We didn't like that the shower entrance is a sliding barn, glass door right by the shower head. Water got everywhere upon entry and there is no way to enter the narrow shower without your head getting soaked. Booo. Hisss. The mattresses were comfortable for all. The pillows? Terrible. Flat and lifeless. The lamps on the nightstands had bases so huge that there was hardly any room to actually use the nightstand. There were also no easily accessible outlets next to the bed, which was a bummer and inconvenience. Other than that, the rooms were nice with a couch in our King room, small desk, and fridge and microwave. The other good stuff? There is coin laundry available for guests to use if they stay longer. The lobby breakfast area is huge, modern and the free breakfast was very fresh and good. There are waffles, french toast, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, muffins, juice, coffee, etc. A nice worker was constantly checking on everything, too. The coffee station is available all day and has hot water for tea bags and hot chocolate. The pool area is also amazing. Fairly shallow inside area with heated water. It actually flows through a plastic partition to the outdoor pool area (also heated) with a waterfall. The only thing it was missing was a hot tub. Otherwise a super cool, renovated pool area that my family loved and enjoyed even in cold December. We would gladly stay in this perfectly located hotel again!

This hotel was booked for me as I was there for a last minute overnight work trip. Let me just say I love the outdoor area. I took full advantage of the fire pit area and kicked my feet up to read on my tablet. the water feature also enhances the space. The rooms were spacious and the bed felt amazing. Breakfast bar was clean with nice food options

This is a premium rate (high $) hotel for Hampton. I am a Diamond member for many years and stay at Hampton for work. Sadly, this hotel doesn't live up to Hilton standards. The staff is ambivalent to your needs. They pay no attention to handicapped requests. They do not give the Diamond greeting packages. The room remote was not there. Self parking is still $10 a night. More issues but you get the picture. I have had 10 times better service at smaller Hilton branded hotels. Maybe time to change. And an hour after writing this we all Had to evacuate for a fire alarm. Sheesh.

Location has finished recent renovations. Was able to get corner suite with balcony. Great place to stay. No reservations to stay again. Was really busy and staff mostly unavailable but seemed friendly enough. Included breakfast was well prepared and helpful for our family.

Excellent service and a really nice hotel right in downtown Chattanooga. It's literally a 5 minute walk from the TN Aquarium! I knew nothing about the Hampton Inn & Suites and their Chattanooga location, so when we arrived for a 4 day weekend visit, I was happily surprised with the appearance, both inside out, and customer service. We arrived around 2 pm and our room wasn't ready, but when we asked if there were any places for lunch, not only did they recommend a few places, they gave us info on their shuttle to take to those restaurants (we walked) and gave us a 15% off coupon to one of the restaurants we ultimately tried. Very cool! Our room was pretty spacious, although not a suite, and had hard wood flooring, a first for me. At the lobby there's a mostly outdoor pool, with an area you can hop in from the inside of the hotel, which feeds to the outer portion of the pool. There's also a gym on the lower level, complimentary breakfast, and coffee all day. Cookies seem to be rolled out after 4 pm. The best part about this hotel may just be its location. You are literally walking distance from the Tennessee aquarium, and the riverwalk. Plenty of restaurants are just a block away, and because this is a very walkable city, you can simply park your car and walk around exploring downtown. This hotel is also just a left turn to the interstate but because the hotel is lower than the interstate, you don't really hear the cars. Parking is not free. It is $10 each night with two lots, one accessed by the guest lot, and the other requiring your hotel card for access. Each night we were able to find parking, so I don't think you'll have problems finding a spot! I really enjoyed my stay here at the Hampton Inn in Chattanooga, and if you're looking for a nice weekend getaway, you might consider checking this place out!

We'll never stay in this hotel again. It is our 15th anniversary and we wanted to celebrate big so we chose this hotel based on their website. Their website shows they had a pool and when we got here it was empty and closed. They should post this on their website. We were very disappointed. We asked for a accessible room and they just gave us a regular room. For the price we pay for this hotel they also add an additional fee of $10 to park each day, it's gouging at its best. The one saving grace is their mattresses they sleep so well. The breakfast eggs were definitely disappointing, because I could tell they were powdered eggs. They didn't have any waffles. They are so worried about COVID-19 but every guest was touching the toaster. When we stayed at the Hampton in Kentucky a year ago they offered snacks around 6 PM. This place, nothing. Here's a picture of the snack we got in Kentucky. They said, "It was because of Covid" however, the hotel in Kentucky was under Covid restrictions also but they figured out a way to supply us with a snack safely. They did give us a couple of bottles of water and two small cookies. I pacifically stay with Hampton because of their service this one needs to go back to the drawing board.

Ask the Community - Hampton Inn & Suites Chattanooga/Downtown

What are the breakfast hours at the Hampton Inn, downtown Chatanooga? Cookies in the evening, will they be at the breakfast area?

6 to 10 are standard Hampton breakfast hours. These are the same as I remember. I didn't see cookies for breakfast, but you could always ask.

On our first night, we went to the hotel's speakeasy to unwind after a long travel day. I told the bartender I only wanted water because I was dehydrated and not looking to drink. Later she started telling me about a new drink they were adding to the menu and said, "Let me make you a drink." I agreed, assuming she was offering it as a courtesy since I had already made it clear I wasn't drinking alcohol that night. When we got the bill, she had charged me $11 for a vodka. That set the tone for the rest of the stay: staff doing the very least to help while making it seem like they're providing excellent service. Then the AC in our first room failed and the room phone didn't work either. We were traveling with our older dog who has a heart condition and cannot tolerate heat. At 10pm, the only options offered were to pack up everything and move rooms or use a box fan. This was our 10‑year wedding anniversary trip and we had to be up early the next morning. There was zero urgency from anyone on staff to find a better solution. The next morning, maintenance told us the thermostats were locked and couldn't be fixed onsite without someone offsite helping. So we had to move rooms anyway. Again, no urgency, no help, no concern. We packed everything ourselves and moved rooms alone. The girl at the front desk was completely useless in this process as well and told us that issues with the AC on the 4th floor were well known but they booked us on that floor anyway to pad their occupancy rate, I assume to influence their online rates. Additionally the hotel is wildly understaffed. Every day we were there only one person was working and handling the front desk, room service and acting as host for the speakeasy. This is potentially fine when there are no issues but when things go wrong, one person cannot man an entire hotel. This is not only unfair to the guests, it's unfair to the staff. The staff was also dressed unprofessionally. One front desk associate was wearing blue plaid pants with chains and a concert tee. THAT is how a hotel is representing itself?? No one wore name tags either, presumably for lack of accountability. Then on checkout day, the hotel had a full power outage. The AC went out across the entire building, again dangerous for our dog. My husband went to another floor to get ice and got trapped in the stairwell because the doors locked during the outage. He and the elevator repair man were stuck banging on the door for several minutes with a housekeeper nearby who didn't bother to check. He only got out because the elevator man let my husband use his phone to callme and I had to go let them out. We then had to drag our luggage down three flights of stairs with no assistance. There was no notification to guests on what was going on, no alarms, and not one staff member helping guests bring their luggage down the stairs. At the front desk, instead of apologizing or acknowledging any of this, the staff member just asked for our room number so she could check us out when the power came back. When I asked if the hotel had generators, she shrugged and said, "Yeah I think we do." Maintenance even needed OUR help to access floors and unlock stairwell doors because they didn't have proper access during the outage. Not one person apologized. Not one person tried to make anything better. It was excuse after excuse, no urgency, no concern for safety and no sense of responsibility. This entire stay was a disaster and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand. We will never stay here again and unless you like wasting your money you probably shouldn't either.

My room was clean and very comfortable, with a small couch, table and chair. The bathroom was well kept, with plenty of space for your toiletries. However, I was given a room on the second floor that looked out onto the lobby roof and the parking garage. I expected a room with a better view given my Gold status. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, I found the internet appeared to be spotty at times. You had to reconnect every morning to the internet, which I do not recall this being required at other Hilton properties I stayed at, especially a Curio Collection hotel. In addition, you sometimes had to reconnect while in your room. One day, I went down to breakfast and although I re-checked onto the internet that morning, by the time I got downstairs, it was off again and I had to re-check in again. The parking garage on the property was free (you need to pull a ticket at first), and you get in and out with your room key. However, if you should stay passed your checkout time (like I did for lunch), when I went to use the key to leave the garage, it did not work. I had to repark, go back to the Front Desk and get the key card re-programmed. The gentleman at the Front Desk said the key card becomes nonresponsive at checkout time. I recommend the Front Desk inform its guests of this cutoff so that if you should enjoy lunch there or want to walk around the area before leaving, you are aware of this situation before you walk out to the garage and have to come back in.

From the moment I walked in, the place had that polished, easygoing vibe that makes you feel like you made the right call before you even hit the elevator. The environment is genuinely nice, some vintage Volkswagens were on display in the lobby... the kind of space that feels welcoming instead of transactional. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and, most importantly, stayed that way because housekeeping actually serviced them daily. That alone feels like a luxury these days. The location is not exactly the crown jewel of Chattanooga, but it nails the one thing that matters when you're traveling: convenience. It's easy to get where you need to go, easy to get back, and easy to settle in without feeling like you're fighting the city. And the staff? Warm, friendly, and consistently helpful. The kind of team that makes hospitality feel like hospitality. But the moment that won me over was the Little Debbie snack waiting in the room at check-in. That tiny touch somehow said, "Welcome to Tennessee, we speak fluent comfort food." A good hotel gives you a room. A great one gives you a reason to smile before you even unpack. That's exactly what this place gets right. It may not sit in the most exciting location, but it absolutely understands the guest experience. Clean rooms, daily service, kind staff, and just enough thoughtful touches to make the stay memorable.
